ABSOLUTE RIPOFF! I was charge 578$ for installation of a gas dryer and range. Firstly my card was charging without them confirming the final price with me. The invoice they gave me showed a 180$ worth of hose that they apparently bought for a supplier. I asked for the invoice given to them for those items by their supplier. They send me an invoice showing the items, but weirdly the price the supplier charged is not mentioned. I called the supplier to inquire about these products. The original price was 34$ each (2 Pieces used) for one type of the item and the second item being 7$ each ( 2 pieces used). When i reach their customer care about this they send a standard reply mentioning the standard of their service. I got a call this morning from them, i was explaining the same to the manager or whoever called me. He mentioned they do markup the prices compared to what they are charged by the supplier, but seriously double the price? For items that should have costed me about 90$, they charged me 180$. And without my confirmation is the bill on my credit card that they ask you for while registering with them. I dont blame the technician, his work was good. But the numbers bumping up is a total rip off. Even the previous resident of this house was shocked when i told them how much i was charged. EXPLAIN THE DOUBLED EQUIPMENT PRICES FOR ME PLEASE! AND I SEE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PRICES. See the other reviews! Explain if your invoice makes sense. I am not complaining about the service, it is the cost the equipment you are lying about.

I read the previous review is surprised to see bad, I had problem with my furnace and spent money on other service companies for doing nothing. The service engineer from Master Tech identified the issue very quick and resolved in a reasonable charge.

had a propane furnace installed in 2013. we were charged for parts we did not need and they just left them here. for the last year [2017] the gas fan has gotten louder. we emailed for a service and enquired about warranty, the response email was that the warranty was 1yr and they dont stock or sell parts. terrible customer service for having spent $4,000 for them to do the work.

Sorry to report a MasterTech operator texting and driving today at the noon hour, April 8th 2020, navigating the corner of Forest Road and Lyngby Avenue in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I am uncertain whether he was lost, texting his boss or checking on social posts, but certainly this driver of a Mastertech HVAC and Plumbing van was deep in the throes of cell phone use as he cruised passed my dog and I. Operating a cell phone device while operating a motor vehicle is not only a worst practice, it is an entirely unacceptable practice for our professional drivers to be setting the bar in this way. Bonehead moves. Leave the phone alone! There's kids and families everywhere on our residential streets these days; we must all be more careful than ever before. I hope this review will serve to provoke a fleet-wide toolbox-talk in the regard of driving with great care. Discussion starter: Did you know that for the last two years Nova Scotia has averaged one traffic death every five days? Does anyone know why?

The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life, had an appointment with them to look at my furnace and heat pump. When they did not show up I stopped into their office and a guy called the scheduler to see what was up. He then passed me the cell phone and I was told he forgot to put me on the list , which was fine with me and I asked to be scheduled for the following week. When I passed the phone back to the guy he said the scheduler had to be nice to me but he did not, and then hoped I lost my power for a month with no heat. He then walked away, I said that's customer service is it and left. The scheduler called monday morning and had me taken care of but when I told him of my experience friday he could not believe it. Upon talking to some other people who they deal with I find out there is no customer service unless you are a commercial customer. They have dropped a long way from Roode and Rose.

BEWARE!!! They will ask for a credit card number when you call to book an appointment. This is so when the job is finished - EVEN IF YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT-they can bill your card for the full amount and thumb their nose at you. They have no desire to ensure that the customer is happy prior to taking your money. I called to book them to install a condensate pump for my air conditioner. They told me approx $200. The tech showed up with no pipe or tubing and had to go back to the shop. He billed an hour ($100) to do this. He then proceeded to charge me $115 for $15 worth of plastic tube. When I questioned the size of the bill (over $400) They said too bad and billed my card. They refused to negotiate on the total. I am retired on a disability pension and they said that they performed the work so pay up. Very disappointed.

When our 12 yo furnace broke down, they just started putting parts into it, with no consultation with us about cost or other options. $2800 later, our furnace works - but for $5k, we could have installed a brand new one
