amazing service, great workers
Great service
Horrible drivers, usually drive often and i'm constantly always watching my back to make sure that no one is riding my rear end. Been almost hit several times as a pedestrian. I stay FAR FAR away from these trucks when I can. Nearly took my rear end off with their snowplow.
Have been working here for the past 6 summers and Is a great company and love working there. Great people and great place for the job with lots of outdoor time.
There are a big joke
Scrupulous at best
I did not personally hire this company, my neighbour did. I live in a condo townhouse, and someone from this company thought it was a great idea to keep working hammering and sawing and drilling well past the 11pm quiet time of the condo corp rules. I do believe the quiet time rules apply throughout the entire city! On a week day night, when people have to get up for work in the am. Their truck says property management.. How does a property management company not understand you can't keep other people in a multiple unit dwelling complex up by making a huge racket past 11pm? Unbelievable.
quality service
Ground Force did an excellent job removing all of the top soil/weeds and a small tree from our front yard, replacing it with beautiful weed-free top soil and luscious green grass. Along the bank is a thick blanket of mulch-covered soil with plants and shrubs planted along the bank. It is absolutely beautiful. We appreciate the hard work. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them for all of your landscaping needs.
Like so many other posts on here I am complaining about their staff and how they drive and/or care for other vehicles. I parked my vehicle in a parking lot (well away from a building) in order to leave the space next to me empty to allow my frail mother room to get out of the passengers side. One of their oversized trucks parked much too close to my vehicle leaving about 6" for the door to open! I was unable to open the door to allow my mother entry. Additionally, when I got home I checked and my new vehicle now has a ding on the door that definitely was not there earlier in the day. Thanks Ground Force! Please teach your staff how to drive.
Very professional and responsive from start to finish! would highly recommend
Could not be happier with my snow removal service these past 4 years. Good Job Ground Force :)
I have had Ground Force install a full-sized basketball court and mend my mile long driveway. The results were even better than anticipated. Thank you Ground Force!
Ground Force landscaped my front lawn, installed a new stone walk way as well as two retaining walls. I couldn’t be happier with the end result and the experience. I trusted their expertise with choosing the products and was very pleased with their selections. The workers were respectful, professional, on time and easy to communicate with. The pricing was fair. I’ve recommended Ground Force to my friends, family and real estate clients and will continue to do so.
Just driving down Cowie Hill Rd 5:35pm May, 22 2020. As I approached the end of a long narrow section, one of the trucks came up head on within a few feet of my front bumper. As I drove around them the driver asked why I wouldn't give the right of way when I see a trailer coming. He told me trailers have the right of way and both he and the passengers started yelling obscenities at me. If they had not been flying down a 50km road with a trailer they would have been able to stop and give the right of way as required. I was at the very end of the narrow section when they approached so the right of way was obvious. I'm not sure what they were thinking or where they learned to drive. Very ignorant, disrespectful and unprofessional. I WOULD NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY.
" I recently hired Ground Force Property Services to re-sod my back yard. I was extremely pleased with the process from quote to completion. The work was undertaken in a timely, professional, and courteous manner. The three-person crew were prompt, efficient and accommodating and the site was cleaned up after each visit. On the basis of my experience, I can recommend Ground Force Property Services without reservation"
Very impressed with this company after our experience landscaping our back yard. We had arranged for some excavation work, but once George arrived, we realized that we got so much more than just an operator. George was a professional who not only took great care to protect our lawn and tree limbs which he expertly navigated around, but also offered some really great advice on some planting we were doing which was above and beyond what we expected. We very much appreciated how knowledgeable he was and his attention to detail. He also was very pleasant and engaged with our kids who were curious about the big machine in the backyard. Thank you to Ground Force for helping our backyard dreams come true!
The drivers for this company are complete maniacs!! No concern for anyone's safety, not even their own. If I'm doing 110km/hr on the 103 their is NO reason to have a large truck with a plow blade come flying up on me and ride my tail with only a couple feet between. And this is with an open passing lane. Their drivers obviously do not care about the companies image as the logo is in big letters on the side of their truck and they were trying to pull intimidation tactics on the road. If you value your property I would suggest staying away from a company that employees people with these types of standards.
I had to put "1 star" in order to post but by far this is one of THE WORST companies in HRM. Their so called quality of work is pathetic, professionalism is non-existent and if you like paying for nothing, this is the business for you! ☹
Watching the impressive workers from Ground Force transform my neighbour’s yard, I resolved to have this company make some improvements to my front yard. Nate Cashin arrived to demolish my concrete front steps and again later to complete the flagstone path to the front gate. He was always prompt, and willing to make any changes. He had many excellent suggestions for my garden and worked hard and steadily to finish the job. I just love how he transformed my front yard into a space worthy of an impressive curb appeal. I was very impressed with this polite, interesting, and creative young man.
A horrible snow removal company it is 1:30 my lot has not been plowed and my exhaust broke off my car and I got supervisors telling me that they on the company and I can take my complaints with them overall a horrible company and do not know how they are in business I slipped them even hurt myself
I live in building they do snow removal walk ways that are still not done storm done 10am it’s now 6pm drive ways sheet ice walk ways have yet to be done ud think where they do blocks of buildings they they get walk ways open
The work this company does from public grounds to personal property is awesome! Driveways , walkways or a backyard oasis . If you want excellent service, a job done that exceeds your expectations in quality, and well something that makes you happy to show off, these guys are the ones to call
Too many sunflower seed shells left behind during their stay/work. Two guys did work and two guys sat inside the truck unloading sunflower shells onto the property. AVOID unless you like getting what you pay for!!! Which includes the above. PIGLETS!
Wouldn't want anyone else, a top firm fantastic staff , willing to go above and beyond keep up the great work guy's
I went for an interview at ground force and during the interview the recruiter attempted to inform me of how the company was adopting a new safety culture…. Meanwhile outside of the window is the shop foreman in the loader bucket getting lifted up 8 feet in the air. I saw this happen twice 45 seconds apart. I struggle to believe that I would go home safe after working with them. And what laws would my supervisors ask me to break to achieve the end result.
Great job. The crew was friendly and did what I wanted. Thank you.
Never liked there work nore the attitude. Got fired for going to my grandfather's funeral a few years ago. Checked a few of there jobs recently....Disgusting
We used Ground Force Property Services to build a wood retainer, gravel pad as well as level and clean up the property. Gareth was attentive and knowledgeable about the best way to proceed with the project and offered cost effective and creative solutions. He communicated with us at every stage of the project and worked within our budget. The crew he brought was highly skilled and extremely hard working (thank you Steve, Nate and Jack). The level of service and design considerations have been far above anyone. The entire team was professional, down to earth and pleasure to work with it. I would definitely recommend this company to friends.
A week ago Tuesday at approximately 10:25 AM, I was following a small dump truck pulling a trailer on the ramp from Dartmouth Crossing to Hwy 118. As we were about to merge with the main highway, before the Hwy 111 cloverleaf, a large amount of gravel tumbled off the back of the trailer, bouncing and hurtling into our 2017 Kia Soul. Fortunately, I was the only on in the Kia, and slowed down enough to lessen the blow of the stones. Unfortunately, most of the rocks still hit the car, striking the windshield, hood, roof, and both sides of the car. I was able to catch up with the truck while we were passing Mic Mac Mall on Hwy 111, and take down the license plate numbers and identify the truck as a white Ford F550 single cab owned by Ground Force landscaping. The driver did not recognize my attempt to get him to pull over, so I stopped and called the company's office. The receptionist could not get in contact with any managers or owners at that time, and apologized saying she would pass on the message. I filed an accident report with HRP at the Mellor Avenue office and advised my insurance company of what happened. Thursday, after still not hearing back from Ground Force, I filed an official claim with my provider, and took the car for an estimate. So here's where things stand. My insurance will cover the damage, which is estimated at close to five thousand dollars, and will provide me with a replacement car for the duration of the repair. We are responsible for the deductible, but will not be "faulted" for the claim. The owners of the other vehicle cannot be reached by our insurance provider, and thus we are treating the incident as a hit-and-run with no information. We are extremely grateful that nobody was injured, and are fortunate to have excellent insurance coverage on our vehicles and home, but are suffering a financial blow due to the negligence and carelessness of an operator, and the owner of a company that should know better.
Project Manager and Staff were amazing. Landscaped my new build last year. Love it.
