We purchased a custom build from FH in 2018 in Timberlea. We recently heard of some rodents around our home so we brought a company to inspect for any possible weak spots they could get into the home. We were relived to hear the company’s team say that: "Whoever built your home did a fantastic job!". He told us that the foundation and structure of our home was very tight and well done, and, to our surprise, that a lot of the newer homes in our area are lacking this quality and attention to detail. Moments like these reminds me and my family that we made the right choice by picking the right builder - I am so happy we went with FH!

Sub par work at best and 0 communication. They fixed holes in sheetrock very poorly and the brand new floors have gouges in them and they put the wrong finishes in the house

One star purchasing process. Have just purchased a home with FH. Very disappointed with the sales/build process despite initially being told that they are very attentive. The purchasing process with them has been the most stressful we’ve had and this is our eighth new home. They have taken on too much which is why their attention to detail and lack of customer care is severely lacking. At present time we still have a scratched staircase which looks like it’s a few years old (due to lack of care by builders before we moved in). Shower door still has still not been fixed and does not shut. Garage trim is coming off. Missing drainpipe. Very cold hallway. These items are outstanding from before our move in on March 15th. Took a day off from work for Wackys to look at the wood staircase and they said someone else was responsible for the staircase? Who and why wasn’t this someone else there to deal with the staircase. This is just a few of many issues we face, some minor issues have been fixed but only when fh see fit.

We purchased a new townhouse from them at Brunello Links. Upon initial glance the house looks great, but the more you look the more their blatant lack of attention to detail becomes evident. Such as: --Our stair risers are an uneven height, and some of our stairs are not level. -A third of the landscaping feature their subcontractor put in our yard is on our neighbors lawn. -They did touch ups with the wrong color of paint. Our closing of the property was nerve wracking; they didn't clean the garage, utility room, and storage area as they are "unfinished spaces which we don't clean" (including drywall mud covering the concrete), despite nothing to that effect in our contract. -Their were items on our deficiency list that they refused to address after the property closed and the funds were in their account. -They placed the extra heat pump head we paid thousands of dollars for in a different location than we selected and did not even tell us. We are nearing our one year anniversary and they still have not addressed deficiencies from closing. Although there is a pandemic, this is no excuse as they have continued to build numerous homes around us in the area. They don't care about you or what a home means to you. They have a product that is in demand and its evident they know that. Do yourself a favor and buy a home from a different builder: I sure wish I did.

We rented from FH for roughly two months before having to move across canada. We understood the troubles that arose by trying to get out of the lease. When we did our initial walk through there was a crack in the basement sink - with us living in the house only 1.5 months we did not use the basement bathroom. When we did our "out" inspection they wrote down the damaged sink and said they would be charging us for this, which they did. We trusted them and did not take pictures from the start and we understood that was our bad by putting good faith in their business, we accepted the deduction on our damage deposit and moved on. We had our new tenants in for December 16, 2019. They signed the new lease and we did everything FH wanted - they declined multiple tenants and finally settled on one. Again no complaint from us. Come January 1, 2020 FH withdraws $1595 from my bank account. They did not prompt me, they did not follow up with me - they accepted two payments on our Lower Sackville place, one from us and one from the current tenants. When I emailed them saying it caused my account to go into the negative, and caused other bills to bounce they assured it was a mistake. They passed on my email and assured me this would not happen again, apologized and I thought that was it. Feb 3, 2020 - Another withdraw for $1595 comes out of my account, they email me afterwards and send me an etransfer but by the time they contact me it again caused my other payments to bounce. I am not getting a straight answer from them, no confirmation that I am off the list. I wonder if this is common practice - so be aware if you leave FH to monitor your funds the following month. I guess for the month of March I should just expect the withdrawal and be entertained by the run-around and poor management communication I will hear from them!
