Brycon's handling of the Spring Garden streetscaping project has been an ongoing disaster. It was assured that access to all businesses would be maintained throughout the project duration but this promise has been broken multiple times, with pedestrians and business owners/workers continually having to jump through hoops just to get where they need to go. Because of this, businesses and the people of Spring Garden Road have been negatively affected; the lack of consideration for the longtime residents of this area who pay rent and live here has been one of the worst I have ever experienced in any construction project in HRM. Brycon promised a schedule that they have not been able to deliver on (the original slated completion was November 30th, now we are "into December...") and the total lack of co-ordination with HRM officials has left many people scrambling and frustrated. Dealing with the pandemic has been hard enough on the downtown businesses, and Brycon has made it even worse with their inability to work appropriately with the businesses of Spring Garden Road during this very difficult time.
