The owner Chris Gilles sub-contracts work out to very poor tradesmen if you can call them that. Nothing was done on time , not even close. The work was very shoddy. I had to hire another company to fix some of the laundry list of deficiencies. I feel like I've been robbed, to say I'm not happy is a huge understatement!!!

We hired A1 to build a new garage 35x35 outside shell only. -took 5 months to complete (timeline was 7days slab, 7 days frame and finish) -Unqualified builder requiring a significant amount of vinyl siding taken down and installed properly. Same with soffet and fascia. At the end of the day they held up their end of the contract. But it was 5 months of ridiculous drama and stress the homeowners endured unnecessarily. I would not recommend this company to build a dog house.

A 16 x 24 should not be incomplete going on fifth month. This company has continuously made statements on work progress and fails consistently. I also know of 3 was 4 but they managed to finally get theirs's completed. The other's are in same boat as myself. I will never recommend them to family or friends. I recommend you draft a contract which binds them to a specific time frame once money is exchanged. Keeping both binding to contract. Wish I had. Please share your experiences with this company. Allowing future customers to make an educated choice.DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO CHRISTOPHER GILLIS. Owner of A1 garage and Garage Kings. My husband and I had a small garage built by A1 Garages, the slab is cracked in three places, there is a widening gap in one of the cracks. We hired an independant company to investigate the issue, they drilled some holes and we were told the concrete was only 2 1/2 inches thick in several areas. We are looking at suing but it's almost 18 months since completion. Not impressed!

Do not under any circumstances hire this company!! Do not give them a cent of your hard-earned money. The owner, Chris Gillis, is a professional scam artist and you will be left without your money as well as the service you paid for. I unfortunately had to find this out the hard way. Hopefully this review will save innocent people from having to deal with the heartache he has caused me and my family! Seriously run away from A1 Garages!!!
