Edit: They were willing to adjust the price to be more representative of the service provided. I will increase the rating because they worked with me as a customer to find an amicable solution. I needed some survey work done for a proposed addition onto my house and called Sub-Arctic. They quoted me a price of $500-$1000 depending on what I needed done. The request I made was for the bare minimum of 4 posts in the lot corners. They put the nails in the property corners and I received a bill in the mail a few weeks later for over $1000. In the meantime I had also requested a full site survey from IterStar Geomatics who quoted me an exact price over the phone of $700 plus tax. The value that I got for the services rendered between the two companies is staggering. Not only that but the customer service differential and response time was also significant. I had my full survey done and paid for in a few days vs a couple weeks for 4 corner posts with Sub-Arctic. I called Sub-Arctic to discuss why I was being charged 4 hours time to place 4 posts on the property corners and was told it can take anywhere from 2 up to 12 hours depending on the lot. That could mean they are charging up to $3000 to put 4 stakes in the ground. The pricing system they are using is dated and seems to be significantly inflated. Definitely would not be using them in the future for any surveying. I will include the pictures of my receipts from both companies below and you can draw your own conclusions. Sub-Arctic charged 50% more for 4 posts (2 of which were off according to the second survey and when I called to discuss the price Sub-Artic said they spent extra time because their workers couldn't easily get the front 2 posts...so). Sub-Arctic didn't seem willing to be reasonable about the quote and tried to justify 1 hour per post. Switched from Ollerhead to Sub-arctic half way through my project, and will continue to use them in the future due to their great service. Cannot recommend enough.
