We worked with Mark Ashton on a pretty intricate old house partial renovation where we finished our basement, replaced all plumbing right out to the street, rerouted and expanded HVAC, completely rebuilt an upstairs washroom and added another in the basement, and added an island and dishwasher on the main floor of our tiny kitchen. This project was complex with a lot of dependencies and we were living in the house throughout, so it presented a lot of challenges. Mark and his team & network did an amazing job of getting things exactly the way we wanted, and though the project took longer than expected due to some surprises discovered along the way, we knew that there was always a focus on quality work. When certain subcontractors messed up (it happens), the problem was always corrected to get it right, with no extra costs - they stand by their work which is important. Having their experience and suppliers to draw from was an asset, and led us to a better end result than we had initially imagined. We're happy with the result, and our house is much more liveable now, thanks Ashton Renovations!

Five stars (more if I could give them) for Ashton Renovations. I adore my bathroom! I had a one-of-a-kind ceramic sink that I wanted to install, and their design was perfect. A tiny condo bathroom now has a luxe, individual look. Mark returns calls and emails promptly. Every person he sent (plumber, painter, electrician) was competent and friendly. The stone companies he works with, Charisma stone, had beautiful materials. When I had a last-minute change of mind on one of the choices, Mark rolled with it. Kind, mellow and competent. What more can you ask of renovators coming into your small condo space? If you want a cookie-cutter fast job, this isn’t for you. But if you want something individual, that will take time but please your whole soul, Ashton Renovations is the best.

Complete Basement Finishing Ashton Renovations finished our basement, which included adding a bedroom, living room, full bathroom, storage room and hobby shop. We were extremely pleased with the results - in fact, the renovation quality was better than the rest of our newly built home. Ashton Renovations (Mark and Chris) did such a great job with our Kitchen and Dining room renovation. We have, and we will continue to, recommend Ashton Renovations to family and friends. We had a newborn and a 3 year old, and, for some reason, we thought it a good time to renovate! Mark and Chris took great care in making sure everything went smoothly and managed our demands to move quickly, where possible. Mark offered us great design advice along the way and took the time to carefully explain our budget and how each decision would affect our budget plan. Chris was always on hand to make sure the quality of work matched their high standards for safety and craftsmanship. On every job, there is always some unexpected turns (in our case, a decade old exterior wall leak), and while there were tense times, we always trusted their judgement and commitment to doing the job right, the first time. We plan to invite Ashton Renovations back for a quote on our garage/secondary suite design, if they are interested (and we get the permits ;))

We worked with Mark and his team at Ashton Renovations on a total upgrade to our downtown condo. The project involved taking the walls down to the studs, raising the ceiling, adding a den and installing a stylish modern kitchen and bathroom. We started the project early in the COVID lockdown so things took longer than anticipated but Mark, Chris and the rest of the team were very professional in keeping us updated and adjusting the work plans to meet the various restrictions. After working with other contractors and being frustrated by the lack of organization and communication, we found Ashton Renovations to renovate our main floor, including kitchen and living room. We chose them after speaking with Mark who provided a clear outline. We also appreciated that Ashton is a family run business and they advertise that they provide a clear and transparent process. Mark, Chris and the whole team were wonderful to work with. We began all of the planning through zoom meetings, since it was mid lockdown, and appreciated the 3D renderings of the plans as we went along. Mark was always responsive to our questions or concerns along a way. Our living room and kitchen is beautiful and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Ashton Renovations and would choose them again for any renovation we have. They follow through and provide a clear and transparent process, as well as excellent, high quality work!

I recently completed a master bathroom full renovation with Ashton Renovations and could not be happier with it! Mark, Chris and team were professional, courteous and experts in their fields. Everything was completed to the highest quality and the pride they all take in their work is evident. Communication was also good, getting the right balance of getting my input where needed/appropriate and just getting on with moving the job along. Unavoidable covid-related delays did result in the job taking a bit longer than originally thought, but Mark kept me updated and everyone did their best to expedite things. I even had a plumber show up on a Saturday to ensure near the end that all could be finished. I would definitely recommend Ashton Renovations and would use them again. After meeting with several contractors, we hired Ashton Renovations to do an extensive renovation on our house, including designing and renovating our kitchen, turning our unfinished basement into a family room and creating a new three-piece bathroom. From the start, we were impressed with Mark’s consultative approach. This was our first home renovation and throughout the process Mark was always responsive to our questions and promptly returned our calls. His crew and tradespeople were respectful and friendly, and always keep the job site clean. The team’s attention to detail and craftsmanship are impressive. The pandemic significantly delayed our project, but Mark kept us informed throughout. When it was safe to resume work, the COVID-19 safety protocols that he put in place left us feeling reassured about allowing the trades back into our house to finish the job. We are so pleased with all aspects of our renovation and would highly recommend Mark and his team.

Worked with Ashton Renovations over a year long process to fully renovated a large downtown condo kitchen and two bathrooms. During the process Ashton was always realistic with budgets and expectations. They were very good at assisting and building on our ideas to make each room better and more functional. The Ashton team was exceptionally good dealing with our condo building staff and management. They were always aware of keeping the work area and building common areas clean. Hi, We just completed our home renovation and it turned out great. Ashton Renovations had their team install marble heated floors in the kitchen powered by digital thermostat. We can control it remotely from our phones. Kitchen looks great with ceaserstone, new glass staircase, plank flooring, coffered ceilings. We raised the roof in master bedroom and installed custom closet with an island for jewelry storage. Overall, the project was a little stressful on the architectural front but came on budget and only 3 days late! We are very pleased and will use Ashton Renovations again!

We recently finished a renovation of our main floor. Ashton was a responsive GC even before we started the project when applying for permits before he even had our commitment. Their quote was very fair and detailed which we appreciated. They was honest with his feedback and trustworthy with your investment. The trades people that worked on the project did an excellent job we passed all permit inspection on the first review. The project took longer than originally expected but this is to be expected when you gut a 120 year old house. Even when we faced delays Ashton would share their communication to the trades so we knew what the plan was and what was involved with all the supplies and scheduling. We didn't feel left in the dark he was very responsive. I am not an easy person to please and I would hire ashton again for future jobs and recommend him to friends and family.

We worked with Ashton Renovations (Mark, Chris and their network of professionals) to renovate our 2.5 bathrooms and other miscellaneous repairs around the house. We bought our house last year and we were new to renovations (prior condo dwellers). Initially, we just wanted to renovate two outdated bathrooms, and as the renovations progressed each day, we increasingly felt our powder room (not included in the original renovation plan) was more than just an eyesore, we then asked Mark to add the powder room on the list as well. Mark always communicated well and updated us the renovation status timely, he always tried to think from a client’s perspective such as what is necessary and what is nice but costly and unnecessary, so clients have options to choose whatever fits into their needs and budget. Everyone on Mark’s team is highly professional, respectful, and friendly, and they focused a lot on the details. We are very happy with our bathrooms and other minor repairs! Since we are new to home renovations, we had lots of questions for Mark and Chris, including things that were completely out of scope of bathroom renovations. They were always patient and explained things to us in detail, and they made practical recommendations to us, we also learned some painting techniques from them. We would recommend Ashton Renovations. To us, Mark, Chris and the team are not just transactional contractors, they are partners who helped us fixed our house from the beginning (literally before we even moved in), and will help us with maintenance and fixes in the future.

We had Ashton renovation complete an extensive kitchen and bathroom renovation on our 100 year old Toronto home. After considering several home renovation companies across the city, it was their thoughtful, organized and thorough design and build plan that sold us. The Ashton Renovation team was incredibly collaborative, professional, and responsive and they exceeded our every expectation. Our renovation included knocking out an exterior brick wall to create an open concept kitchen, enlarging and completely overhauling our upstairs bathroom, brand new plumbing and electrical, as well as updating our front entry and basement.
