We just recently tore down our fireplace and built a new one. We were so pleased with Kia and his crew. Kia and the crew were polite, they kept us apprized of each step along the project and Kia was so patient with all our questions. The one thing we really liked was they were so respectful with our home. At the very beginning, they put the floor coverings from the front door to the project site and they covered all the furniture. I was so pleased with Kia that they're doing some more work for us in the next couple months. Kia, thanks for all your help and walking us through this huge project. Miki, Kia and Mike finished a kitchen and small bath reno recently. I loved working with them. They have integrity, great communications skills and are flexible and easy to work with. Their quote was right on, we added as we wished to upgrade and the finished rooms are beautiful. We are thrilled. They said 6 weeks and it was six weeks. Sub-contractors were always available when needed, highly professional, personable and capable. I loved how Platinum regularly took garbage offsite and out of the way. Right on top of everything. I had planned on starting a renovation for a while, did research on 3 different companies as well. I found Platinum was very reasonable with their pricing and their great customer service and reviews. They were very professional, listened to my needs, went out of their way to accommodate my needs. Made renovation a very good & enjoyable experience for me. They were fun to work with. Being that I was responsible for my own finishing fixtures, I was unsure where to start. They made it very easy from the initial starting point of my project; putting me in contact with their suppliers, aiding me through the entire process from start to finish making what is normally a stressful process (so I have heard!) fun and easy! They took all of my requests into consideration and also provided their expertise when necessary which has resulted in a beautiful end product which I am extremely happy with! I have had numerous neighbors within the building provide many compliments on the beautiful bathrooms and the unique fixtures recommended by Platinum. This was a big job for us and we are so glad we chose them to do it. This team puts the customer first and will ensure that we are satisfied with the results. We contact Kia at Platinum because they were recommended by our cabinet maker. We were just beginning to consider a to-the-walls gut and redesign of our kitchen. Now that the project is complete, I can absolutely recommend Platinum to anyone. They were attentive to details, responsive to texts and emails with questions. And in the few instances where we wanted adjustments to various installs, Kia went above and beyond in terms of making sure we had good outcomes. We didn't have a lot of experience going into this project, which lasted over a month. But we consider the work that Kia oversaw to have been handled with professionalism and excellence. They did an excellent job, and made the whole renovation process as easy as can be (if you have lived through a reno then you will be able to relate!) I am writing this review from a different perspective then the typical post but equally as important when contemplating who to contact for general contracting. I have worked with a variety of contractors all over the lower mainland for 10+ years, first in the home automation field and in recent years the gas and wood burning fireplace industry. One issue that is a common occurrence working with trades is communication and time management. Platinum Renovations has done an amazing job insuring these issues never occur. Kia has been my primary contact with the company over a handful of projects in 2018-2019 and he has been a pleasure to deal with. Always immediate or same day communication, , supplies quotes in a timely matter, facilitates client timeline requirements and meets quality of work expectations. Highly recommend.
