How is it that this store (north bay location) knew it was open on Friday June 11th for in-store shopping and still did not have enough staff to cover curb side pick up for customers who have made orders days prior to the store opening. Was actually told today that they could not tell me when the order would be ready and when I said I wanted to cancel it, because it was taking so long, the staff member got short with me. This is not the first time we have had an experience with this store and staff members just not caring or being ignorant. And also I was astounded by the fact that your staff would let a 300$ Online purchase be canceled without trying to fix the problem. I thought keeping a customers business was the name of the game here. Next time I’ll order from Sudbury and have it delivered to my home.

I purchased a new washing machine online before leaving for my holiday - the purchase was on the 20th of March. Delivery was given to be the 28th of March and off I went on holiday. Well it is now the 19th of April and for one foolish reason or another I am still waiting for my machine to be delivered - all the while Home Depot has my money. Beware of their sale tactics and for sure I will never buy another item from Home Depot Canada. I wish I could give them negative stars for a rating!

The WORST shopping experience EVER. Not even worth 1 star. Whatever you do, DO NOT use curbside pick up from Home Depot. Orders take way too long. (It took me over 7 hours for someone from Home Depot to tell me that all I need in my new Ryobi battery operated glue gun was the generic glue sticks that we should purchase from a local craft store.) Do yourself a favor and shop at Home Hardware who are set up the proper way for curb side.

I have bought our pt decking here for 2years. It comes in soaked. Got around 15-20 lifts of it. Nothing but a problem. Mostly great local people working there. BUT I have spent 2 years running around changing our wrapped boards for our customers. . PLACE IS RUN LIKE A USA. BIG BOX STORE. ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. ..ALL I wanted was them to come good for our display dock. AND COULD NOT EVEN CALL ME BACK. I've switched to a CANADIAN STORE AND SAME PRICE BUT 10X THE QUILITY. JUST BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. AND I SPEND 70K A YEAR THERE. N NO CALL BACK. Tried to order $20 fan online but they wanted an additional $21.51 to deliver it 4 blocks! So ordered it online for a friend to pick up as due to health I can't go out. Arranged it over phone giving order# and friends name. Friend was refused to pick it up! Asked to speak with manager but employee could not hear me over loud fork truck. Still waiting for manager to call. At their 1-888 they say due to covid they have large number of calls so hang up and try again! Then on facebook messenger no reply at all. Dealing with ghosts ! Never again.

I enjoy going here for my gardening flowers especially hibiscus. I have to improve on my ???? for this store especially for the former garden centre manager Rob and the present one. These guys are outstanding when it comes to customer service . Since moving to Sudbury, I realized how pleasant the staff in my North Bay Home Depot are. So, I return to this store to buy my stuffs because of the customer service. Especially, my plants. I walked in and immediately, the staff knows the plant Guru has landed. I hate to say it but I refused to go to the home Depot in Sudbury and instead go to Lowe's . One very bad experience was too much for me. Look at what I took home from my North Bay Home Depot yesterday .A magnificent labster claw bird of paradise. The best buy ever. Thank you North Bay Home Depot

I’ve been here many a time. It’s honestly hit and miss as far as the ability to get help from staff. Some staff are absolutely fantastic and are able to help with absolutely anything. Others just seem to take up space and can’t do a thing. I get it, I don’t know everything. They do try though. They usually have stock of most things.

The Home Depot has so many great household items. Everything that you could think of from tiles to paint, blinds, lights, fridges and stoves, just about anything for your home and garden. The layout of the store is good with long isles, big signs and staff everywhere to direct you where you want to go... There are so many items for those do it yourself projects or just sprucing up the home or garden a little. Staff was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Checkout was a little slow but all and all a good shopping experience. Get your d.i.y. on at the Home Depot.

Unimpressed with what I would call piss poor customer service. Asked to get totes down from the highest shelf and was denied because there was a different tote option on the floor. The totes we required were in the store just on the highest shelf which was unreachable. Said 144 in store, could not get one because the store standard associate would not call to get them down from the highest shelf. Can't say I will be back as Canadian Tire has a similar model that I decided to purchase. Increase your store standard associate training, the service recieved was poor.

Like other customers experienced, this store is very slow to process orders and wait time is more than 2 hours for small orders. I would not recommend this store to anyone. I have shopped at different HD stores but this is far worse than any other stores. They don't value the customer at all. Go to Home Hardware or Peaway. You will be treated as customer and very efficient service.

Extremely disappointed with the services after a sale. My husband and I bought a new home and walked into Home Depot with cash to buy all new appliances. We started with the Washer and Dryer (We shopped around and HD was the cheapest, this is what got our attention and got us in the store). A week for delivery, only to find out the dryer was badly damaged. The team left without installing the washer and took back the dryer. We called HD immediately to process the return. We were told 7-10 days for shipping of the new dryer. Called back 3 business days later to ask for an update on delivery. I was told it would then take another 24-48 hours to process the return as it hadn't been processed. Called the next business day and was told it would take 10-20 business days to process the return. We have a family of 4, no washer and dryer as of 2 weeks in. During a pandemic, It is not an option to take our things to a laundry mat and sit there for hours!!!!! We could have bought it from Costco for a bit more money and would of had it home the same day!!!! You lost our Business HD not just for the return, but the inconsistencies of your staff's lip service. I'm embarrassed to say HD was my first job out of high school. #ThumbsDOWN!

Drove from out of town to Woodstock Home Depot to get a couple of the husky totes, online stated there were 20 totes available. Checked the front entrance area where they have been before and there were none. After checking a few isles myself my sister asked a staff member and was told to check the back back isle at the other end of the store where I found none. Asked another staff member and was told to check the front and near self- check out. Went back to front of store and nothing, asked a cashier and she showed us to an alcove where they are “normally kept” and there was flooring. Then said again to check the very front entrance area, I told her I had already looked but followed anyways, none. She said she would ask, talked to another cashier who did not know, After standing there I said I would just keep looking. Walked the perimeter of the store and found the lids with no totes. Ended up leaving very frustrated with no totes and a sore back as I am visibly pregnant and walking on cement for that long gets painful. While staff was nice, not one of them went out of their way to actually help me find what I was looking for. Very disappointed.

This was the first experience for me at The Home Depot Woodstock, when I asked for help for a product from staff, he pointed correct aisle to me and left. The Staff seem to be in a hurry. To be honest, I expected better customer service from him. But 4 stars for this place, as I had a really good experience at the cashiers and customer service dept. They explained me about the product I was purchasing. Thanks to the cashier and customer service team!!

Although generally I have no complaints about this store tonight was awful. We went to the electrical area to get conduit and related boxes etc. They had almost nothing we needed in stock. The guy working the department kept scanning and saying they had 10 or 12 more of the thing we needed but that he would never be able to find it. He then disappeared for a bit and came back to say he looked in one cart but it wasn't there and that there were more carts but he couldn't go looking. He suggested we could go to another store. We were in Woodstock so he was suggesting we go to Kitchener or Brantford 40 mins away rather then find the stock they had in their store.

Worst experience ever!!! Ordered online, received the email to come pick up. Arrive 2 hours after email and spent over 2 hours there waiting because the order was not pulled. A customer service representative ( she was nice) call management.. Scott i believe his name was.. gave me every excuse you could think of.." it never happens, computer error, they pulled the wrong color, had to exchange it..." meanwhile I am standing there watching them pull everything because they didn't have it even ready ( as the original lady I went to see stated). I get it mistakes happen, accept it, but don't lie about it and blame everyone one else... will never ever shop at woodstock again!!

I went to check out and the girl says this spot is only for self checkout (I have always checked out at that till mind you in the past and purchase my emt here every month) I said do you mean I can't checkout here and she said no its for self checkout. She grabs my things and just starts scanning them in the self checkout across the lane from where we were standing and then walks away....ummmm what? I'm standing there not knowing how to do this at all while my autistic son is jumping out of the cart and taking off . She proceeds to start taking a regular customer in a checkout lane...not a self checkout! I'm on the verge of tears ease I'm trying to handle my son while figuring out the self checkout process. I'd give less then one star if I could. Myself, I am a young guy, dirty work clothes, and work boots is my usual attire. I had gone into the store around 8:00 pm to buy some new gloves for work the next day. I had used the self check out, and on my way out was chased down by two of the employees requesting to see my receipt, Luckily I had it handy. But the feeling of being treated as a criminal for no reason was there.

Very helpful staff! I've gone in several times with odd projects and they walked me through the store to help me. One time they were out of a specific item I wanted 30 min before closing and a staff member helped me track down something similar. Another time I called the garden center for a curbside pick up and they were super helpful and asked additional questions which led me to learn it was open and I didn't have to wait for curbside! If they didn't try to understand my question I would have still been waiting. I love that it is organized and clean and I can find the exact aisle for the item online.

When I returned some Vinyl planks took them over 45 min to complete the transaction and it was a huge headache. They were insisting in paying $56 dollars less than what I originally had paid. After all that I didn't even get an apology. Way to go, you just lost a loyal customer. To think I spent over $8000 back in 2018 in the Woodstock location makes me sick. Lowe's is now my store for renovations.

They have all you can ask for when you are fixing your home inside or out. We bought wood stain for our deck in a deep blue. Everyone that drives by slows down to check it out. Some have made sure to tell us how beautiful it looked. We also stained the busker a light blue and the railing so long the top is white. The his of those stain colors is fabulous. A few neighbours sent pics to their friends Quality products are hard to find these days so we were happy for the great stain and all the advice get gave us with picking paint or stain and how to make sure it lasts We went to buy other products there and I told them that another store had them cheaper. Well they gave the product for the cheaper price. That is great in my books.

Selling junk - we purchased a Frigidaire Model number FFRU17B2QWD and after 17-months it stopped cooling. Apparently it has a high side leak and unrepairable - action from Home Depot "its out of one-year warranty so not our problem" - Buyers beware this is a piece of JUNK and not recommended.

My only complaint is against company policy. During severe weather, hot or cold, customers should be allowed to bring pet companions into the store, of course under proper control. Traveling an hour past Home Depot to the cottage, drop my dog off, then an hour back to buy new flooring for the cottage, then an hour back to the cottage. Ridiculous!

The Home Depot is a typical big box store. I have found it difficult to find helpful staff on the floor and have been shuffled off with the "It's not my department" routine. Customer service at cash and returns is top notch. The store has most of what you will need for any task. Pricing is typical with few sales and pricing which makes you wonder if you could have pieced together sales from other stores like Rona or Home Hardware. You can't beat the convenience of finding what you need under one roof.

Told to find own cart although none in corrals or in store, by two staff. Price charged at checkout was more than marked on shelf.Then told by cashier I would have to take patio door back. I told her to call gentleman in the door dept as he picked door and checked pricing while I was in that section. The young lady by the name of Cydney was very polite, friendly n helpful, even though it was so closed to closing time. She even try to help us by Googling some mechanics for us in the even we needed one. The Store Manager (Assistant?) was very nice and friendly too as was the staffs there. Had a very good experience. I called the North Bay store today and spoke to a female associate in appliances. There was a dishwasher on clearance that I wanted to buy for my daughter for Christmas and we would pick it up at the store right after Christmas. She said no we had to get it out of the store within 48 hours. I told her that I bought all new appliances at home depot in ottawa and that store stored them for a couple months until I moved in. She said they must have been in a warehouse. I replied no I had bought a clearance fridge which they stored in the back of the store. She said north bay only has a small back storage area and they can't do that. Very poor customer service and different rules for different stores.

(Order placed over a month ago and still unresolved) The issue was not caused by the store but the staff at this location were fantastic in handling my concerns. They were patient and professional. Every time I need help, I either can't find someone or the person I do find will simply point me in the direction instead of showing me where it is. They are also horrible for keeping stock in supply. Last year I waited 3 months for pine tongue and groove boards (ended up buying elsewhere) and I bought all of their 1/4-20 threaded inserts 2 weeks ago and they STILL have not stocked any more as of yesterday. I also do a lot of wood working and EVERY time I've gone for sheet goods in the rack of half sheets of plywood and mdf etc. I've left pissed off every time due to going through entire piles of wood to find every piece is so warped bent and twisted they aren't useable for anything and they don't sell and sit on the shelf forever, making that entire rack as almost useless unuseable wood. This is all based on my own personal experiences and u may have a better time with them, but I don't shop there unless I absolutely have to. I even order things online before I go there.

Worst HomeDepot ever - so much for shopping local. Went there to get supplies after waiting for Covid-19 to allow stores to open and they only had a few pieces of various sizes of pine lumber. All they had were about a dozen pieces of broken, crooked , well picked over on empty shelves. Another person also wanted some straighter pieces and since there were numerous employees wandering aimlessly, I asked if they had any more and he said they were "hard to get due to Covid-19" and better take what they had even though it was just garbage. Both of us walked away. On the way out, I picked up some paint, stain and polyurathane and checked out at the self check-out which was the only available way. As usual at this store , one of the items was checked out at a higher price than advertised and so I contacted an employee who said that I have to go to courtesy desk to get straightened out. I stood at courtesy desk for at least 10 minutes while watching an employee argue with at least 2 phone callers while 4 other employees behind the desk just stood around talking and laughing. Finally she got off the phone and instead of refunding me the overcharge, I had to get back a credit (store policy according to her) and go back to shelf and pick up another can and go check out which had still the wrong price and after finally getting real upset and telling them where to shove this stain, they finally adjusted price to the proper sale price. The final insult is that the Home Hardware had no shortage of lumber and 1 week later, I have 2 charges for stain on my credit card and the credit is not shown even though I have a receipt for it. Now I have to call the credit card and Home Depot to straighten this out. I have learned my lesson - stay away from this unprofessional, poorly run store.

I wish i could give less than one star. If you order ONLINE FOR CURBSIDE..... be prepared for a minimum 2hr wait. I only ordered a furnace filter. They had 52 in stock and it took 3 days to process the order and 2 hrs to waiting to pick it up. NEVER GO HERE!!

Terrible service and overall experience. I came in yesterday looking for a product that should have been in stock according to the website. I found the empty shelf and when I asked an associate for help in finding the item he shrugged and said he guessed it was out of stock. He didn't even check the computer or look to see if there were more being stored on a higher shelf. He suggested buying it online. Instead of using the computer to check to see if that was possible, I had to then use my phone to check for myself. The item is only available in store. I guess he was too busy surfing the internet to care whether or not customers were being helped to find the items they were looking for. I guess I will be shopping elsewhere and this Home Depot won't be getting my business.

Large clean store, always has great sales and usually a couple clearance sections. Staff are never anywhere to be found but greeters and cashiers always super friendly.

I made an online order but as I was ordering my items were sold in-store. I promptly got a call to inform me of the issue. Shortly afterwards I received an email from their services team informing me that they had an alternative item from a different brand that they set on hold for me until I had a chance to call. I was able to pick up an equal part. When I went to the store Brandon was very cordial and helpful. Thank you for the great service!

While doing a curb side pick up of lumber and plywood, by myself. The employees brought me the three carts my stuff was on and walked away, no offer to help load it. When confronted about there poor lack of service, was told whoops, isolated incident. Blamed it on Covid. 45 days later visiting same store and watched as customer after customer helped a 6month pregnant lady loaded her cart full of lumber, no employee willing to help her. As the lady went thru the checkout there were at least 4 employees standing shoulder to shoulder un willing to help the pregnant lady with getting it loaded into her car, I loaded it in for her and she was grateful. Shame on Home depot, bad customer service, bad Covid 19 ethics.

Will never order anything from here again, spent over $8,000 on appliances and delivery was over 3 hours past the 4 hour window just to be called by the driver and told he would be there within the hour and was still a full hour after that ! Ridiculous waste of my entire day waiting! How hard is it to call and be within an hour?! Never again.

It's a big box store. What can I say? Mostly friendly knowledgeable staff. Not a frequent customer anymore. Prices just aren't what they used to be. Their competitors at HH and the big R really have been keeping up on meeting or beating prices. Less walking elsewhere. And I'm tired of loading a cart. Rather pull up and load my pickup than handle it multiple times!

Horrible experience with delivery. Wasted two days to wait for merchandise that wasn't on the truck. When I insisted, stuff was delivered in a rush. New fridge has a dent. Never had this much stress with a purchase EVER. When I get irate a manager acts as if they were doing me a favour because they matched the price on one item purchased. It is SUPPOSED TO BE THE POLICY of Home Depot. No favours there. One delivery fee waived because HD could not deliver all the appliances at the same time. Not doing me a favour. I wanted all at the same time. Don't treat me like I am an idiot. I do my research. I ask questions relevant to my purchase. I should have done more research regarding customer service. Would assign less than on star if I could.
