Don't waist your money they don't care about follow up or servicing you after they get paid... terrible service ( and yes we have a pool from you and its not under my name its in my wife's name). 2 years ago we called to get some service done they told us they would book us in and would call us back.. we called back a few weeks later they forgot about us... then they said they would get back to us and never did so we contacted another local company. This year same problem exactly and still have not called us back... so please don't waist your money you will regret it, I've talked to a number of people that have had the same problem. we are now using another local pool company and wow talk about great customer service.... Stay away from Southside.... Don't try to lie and say it was our your fault regarding the liner. you left a huge crease in it and said oh well, no big deal ( we are over it, we know you have sub par craftsmanship) ..as per you saying we demanded you fixing the solar panel, in our first few calls that you never would return we said we could wait and were glad to wait and pay, but as to your follow up service you never got back to us, .. we are in sturgeon falls, is that too far 30 km?...your employee called us back after 2 and 1/2 years, and called us liars saying we never called you ( how did she know to call us) and we called her on it, that's when she got angry and started belittling us. since we stared dealing with the other pool company we have found out we are not the only ones complaining about your very bad service... They will lie publicly to try to protect themselves and their terrible service. PLEASE DON'T USE THEM IF YOU VALUE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY THEY ARE TOTALLY USELESS,

they have been looking after three pools for me over the past 20 years, always helpful and knowledgeable. Someone said I should save money and close my own pool...big mistake....called Tim at South Side with a plea of HELP. He is closing it now...their the best

After spending well over $8000.00 a number of years ago to have Skillbuilders come in and replace the pool plumbing, relocate pool filter, pump, remove white top cap off coping, replace parts, new diving board, a brand new solar system and auto controller, drain pool and repair cave in in deep end and reinstall the liner... which they reinstalled with a crease in the bottom and when I looked at it and mentioned it... they said too late. We would have to drain the pool and remove the liner to take the crease out which would cost me more money!!! You made the mistake... needless to say, it was left like that. That liner was only installed the year before by a different pool company by the previous owners. It was only a year old! So definitely not a wear and tear issue. They had to remove and reinstall the liner after completing the work on the cave in in the deep end.. So they did definitely have to remove and install the liner... And we have had ZERO follow up service from South Side! I have placed several calls over the years to request service and repair on the solar panels and they either never returned my calls or simply did not show up after several calls and they said they would be out there in a couple weeks. We finally did a temporary repair as we couldn't wait any longer. We called and spoke to a friend of ours who has been installing pools for years and he told us how to temporarily fix it until they showed up. Well it never happened. The temporary fix held out and lasted the following summer. I called the following summer to have them come out to service the solar panels and to check everything over. Again, never called back. This year, after re opening our pool, we noticed another leak in a different spot. Tried calling them to give them another chance. They told us they would call us by the end of the day.. A week and a half later, they called us. They act like we live hundreds of miles away, when we live in Sturgeon Falls. Didn't mind coming out when I spent thousands but to get follow up care is ridiculous. Upon speaking and getting advice from another other pool company, they actually told us how to fix it ourselves as Skillbuilders wouldn't even do that. But we had to go by the tool required to fix the panels which Skillbuilders didn't leave us the tool that came with the kit when I purchased it and had them install it.. imagine that! If you are not going to do follow up service at least leave the tools that come with the kit. My pool may have been installed many many years ago by god knows who, but they did the work and repairs with no follow up service... No other pool company as touched our pool nor do we use a pool company to open and close our pool. It isn't rocket science, we do that ourselves. We always drain all lines and blow out the lines as we were shown by a qualified pool technician. It is normal for pool equipment to wear out and require repairs over time. That isn't the issue.. the issue is the lack of follow up service and returning calls from this company. We require pool companies to do repairs, which they don't seem to care about. I understand pool companies are busy. but followup care such as returning calls and at least making it back out to service your customers within a few years is not to much to ask.. and Skillbuilders NEVER has come to follow up on anything... EVER! I have all receipts which is how I know the dates and prices I was charged since 2009.. Of course they will deny everything as they have on all negative posts regarding their company instead of attempting to rectify the problem.

Had a wonderful service with the friendly staff here. They are knowledgeable and take their time with me to answer all my questions. Purchased a Marquis hot tub 5 years ago from here and there have been no issues. We definitely recommend them to friends and family!!

Got a pool built by them two years ago. It took them a couple days to set it up and we filled it by water truck. They helped us understand how to keep it clean and what to do for winter. They were helpful and friendly, I highly recommend them.

Worst customer service! Purchase hot tub that had parts falling off. Took 3 months to get parts and they didn't return to put it on but left a message we can pick it up and do it ourselves. Refused services but happy to collect your money. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!!

I've wanted a hot tub for years and finally decided to get one. I shopped around town, and decided to get a marquis spa from Southside pools and spas. It came with a cover and they delivered it right to my deck in my backyard. They were friendly and explained how to keep the water clean and how it works. They also gave me a bunch of products to keep it clean. The best part is my electric bill barely went up at all. I use it all winter and it pretty much takes care of itself. Great spa and a great company.

Me and my wife went to southside pools and spas in the spring looking for a hot tub. They showed us a 5 seater plug-in hot tub and said that we'd save money since it was fully foamed. So far we only pay $15 a month more in hydro, the jet are strong, and its easy to keep clean. We're happy with our purchase.

This is to try and get Google to remove the review from Darin Farquhar. I know of no person by this name. Our company has never sold this person anything. This name does not exist when I look it up locally, and they have no info on their Google page. I suspect that this is a competitor posting a negative review since they have no response to our responses and no valid contact info. It is also clearly Slandering our name. I went in to get pool chemicals explaining I've never had a pool before. I said i thought I needed shock and chlorine. She told me I would need this other product too, then walked away. No other conversation, questions or responses. I found her very unhelpful and rude. I won't return.

So much for follow up service. I understand I live a few miles out of town but completely hanging us out to dry after the poor install and negative attitude during the process is not cool. No return phone calls after many attempts... tub leaks.. thanks for nothing SouthSide... sould be called wrongside spas. very poor service!

I am looking at my swimming pool in my yard and am amazed that it is my yard, it is beautiful. We had Southside Pools and Spas build our pool in July. The guys did such a fantastic job, I didn't realize how much work was involved in building a pool. They were cheerful despite working in the heat. We have had so much fun this summer. We have been in the pool almost every day, our kids thank us all the time for getting the pool. Thank you Southside for our best summer ever.
