Absolutely fantastic service! Enbridge cut my gas off due to our furnace being unsafe. Called Jenn at the office. She was super friendly and helpful. I called a lot of places that day, she was the only one I felt I wasn't inconvenience with my phone call. The guys were here withing 15 minutes to take a look. As I had suspected, the furnace had reached the end of its life. I had a quote within an hour on a newer and bigger furnace. They were the only ones that provided me with quote on a bigger furnace and the cost was still under there competitors. They took into account the size of my house and my 2 young children. Installation took a full day. I don't think they even stopped for lunch! The finished work is fantastic! Extremely happy with the new furnace.

I purchased a brand new furnace from Ferns in October and it was the best decision I ever made. This is a class A business. They treated my family and my home with respect and the 2 men that came to my home for the installation were absolutely fantastic! They made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. If you go with Ferns you will never have a problem. These guys have been in the business for years and they treat their customers like gold. These guys are great! I highly recommend them, and I don't say that very often.

- Came to my home to service my furnace, said it was not worth repairing, quoted a new furnace $4000-6000. - I called the manufacturer of the furnace, it was still under warranty for the issue it had. I was also told that out of warranty repair for my Issue was under $1000. * over all, came to my home, charged me $400 for nothing and poor service.

Horrible staff to deal with. We called asking for help, and wanted to know how much for the service call... we apparently got the answering service as they didn't know what the charge would be. Some guy showed up, walked through our house to the back yard to view our failed AC unit and then he finally replied to my wife that it was $90. She asked him to leave immediately. He came back with a bill for my wife to sign, which she didn't. But Fern is still requesting payment for doing NOTHING. Will not be dealing with Fern's again!

Do not use Fern's! We have a Lennox product and they are a Lennox dealer. Had to continuely call back for 2 months only to find that they would not service in our area. Can't imagine how long it would have taken if we waited for them to return calls. We could have had a product purchased and installed in the time it took to receive an answer from them. In venting our frustration to family and friends, many others have had similar problems where they will not come to service even though they are the designated service provider. Save yourself time and frustration and use another business.

Had a problem with the blower unit at the house, just wasn't working well. Called up and asked for a service call when available. The tech called me back 15 minutes later and said he could be over to the house within the hour. Came by had a look at the blower and found the problem; was able to fix it that day and we were up and running. The tech was a great guy, very friendly and everything is working well. Thanks guys for the great response to service, will be calling in the fall for a 'tune up' before the winter sets in.

Oil furnace broke down and had Fern's install a propane furnace and tankless water heater. Excellent workmanship and very clean. They suggested calling my insurance to advise of the switch to propane and it went down by $400 a year!

We have purchased and renovated multiple houses in Northern Ontario and rely on Claude to give us a fair quote and quality work. One time our whole system started to freeze up on a very cold winter night. We called Fern's and they showed up in the middle of the night to crawl around in our crawl space to thaw out a few pipes. If we left it till morning all of our pipes would have been busted. Thanks Claude for saving our system!

Awesome service and very knowledgeable. It was our first time using Fern’s since moving to the North Bay area. We had a furnace, ac unit, and hot water tank installed. From the technicians to the office staff, everyone was very friendly, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. The technicians gave us great advice and were able to install additional air drops in our basement to help make the heating/ac system work properly in our home. In my experience Fern's Heating is completely unresponsive to clients' request for help. I booked a furnace service, in preparation for winter, on 15 September 2014 and was told by the office staff that they were very busy and couldn't accommodate me until at least November. Although they added my name to their schedule, they have still not contacted me. It is now 08 December 2014. This is the second time in four years that Fern's Home Heating has ignored my request for service; they just don't care! Although their service staff was friendly and efficient when hired in the past, the office staff is unfriendly, unresponsive and seems to be incompetent. I will no longer deal with Fern's Home Heating. Stay away from this business.

My furnace was blowing cold air 2 days ago 26. Of course it happened after business hours. I called Ferns Heating an answering service took my information and what was wrong. Within 15 minutes I received a call from Gilles. We went thru some steps over the phone. We were able to get the furnace running but I knew it was on its last legs. And Jan 27 it was forecasted to be in the minus 24 range. I had asked Gilles to quote a new furnace. I got a call back on the morning of the 27 from the office. They asked if they could send out a tech to see what was needed for the install before they could quote it. They came out around 1pm. Jenn in the office called me back with the price and said they could do it that afternoon. So after finding out what options I had to pay for it. I chose one and it was approved. They were concerned because of the cold night ahead. That my old furnace would not make it though the night. They came over that afternoon and installed the new furnace and thermostat. Gilles and another tech stayed until the job was done well past their quitting time. I will recommend Ferns to anybody needing heating and ac work. We had an emergency situation on two occasions. Once in the winter related to our hot water on demand and just recently for our air conditioning unit. Both times Ferns Heating came out to Powassan and did an amazing job. They were professional throughout each incident and responded quickly. I would highly recommend this company. 5 Stars!!!!
