I've ordered 2 guitars from them so far with more to come I'm sure. The experience has been very good overall and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help. The first guitar i ordered is still delayed due to a production issue with Schecter. As soon as they found out about the issue (which was a few days after i placed the order), I recieved a call to let me know of the production issue and to find out what I wanted to do (wait for it, order something else, cancel the order). I decided to wait for it. I ordered an Epiphone Les Paul modern shortly after. That guitar was at my home in about 2-3 weeks. They requested it be held at the depot for me since i was concerned with porch pirates and they fully insured it to give me peace of mind. They do an inspection and setup on the guitars before they ship them. The setup on my Les Paul was amazing. It played great right out of the box. I'm really looking forward to that Schecter now!

These guys are great. Was in the market for a new 12 string acoustic guitar and they had 7 in stock to try. Amazing. More than any other company I looked at including the big guys. They were very helpful, answered all my questions and allowed me to try them all acousticly and plugged in. They were also very accommodating with my daughter and wife who came with me to help in my search. Even did a quick setup on my newly acquired guitar. Couldn't ask for better service. Thanks guys.

Have done a number of orders with these folks and they are great! Wonderful product selection and really good prices. They have regular sales and include items you want, not just what they are trying to get rid of. Any issues, they contact you quickly and make sure that you are well taken care of. Bought a guitar online, unfortunately, out of the box it needed a truss rod adjustment as the first two frets didn't ring out at all. The fret ends were also protruding quite a bit, requiring a filing down (so this was an extra 40$, and the higher frets still stick out quite a bit). Also, the guitar wasn't exactly as advertised, the model described on the site was a newer version from 2014-2016, the tag on this one was made in late 2012. Overall though, for the price, which was 100$ cheaper than anywhere else, and probably 200-400$ cheaper than the newest model, it's a good sounding guitar. Just a shame it needed the work it did for a brand new guitar. Update- Regarding your update, I don't think you have the right person. I never contacted you guys post sale about the guitar.

I bought a guitar online and everything was fine except that the guitar wasn't adjusted. The people at acclaim did everything they could to help. Unfortunately, it had a defective neck, I have to wait for a new neck. But at least i'll get one for free. Except for that this is a great store, you get your items for a good price, you won't find lowet prices.

Received my Alesis Nitro Mesh kit on friday the 31st, just a week after ordering it. Really quick shipping, considering holiday schedule and Covid delays. It's my first kit, so it took me a while to figure out which piece was which and assemble the whole thing, Still pretty easy to setup. The module operates smoothly. It's easy to adjust sensitivity and other settings to fit the kit to your type of playiing. I'm really glad I went ahead and bought it. Feels like I'll have hours of enjoyment coming up for 2022. Big thanks to the Acclaim sales team. They answered my questions very rapidly! Would definitively buy from them again.

I ordered a Canadian made guitar, hard case and strap from Acclaim Sound and Lighting out of North Bay. When they took the guitar out to prepare for shipping and setup they noticed a small imperfection in the body of the guitar. They phoned me and sent some pictures. The young man on the phone indicated they would do what was required to repair the imperfection. They offer a discount on the guitar. They repaired the imperfection so well that I can’t find it now. More pictures were sent. Each time I was contacted the employees were respectful, factual with what was happening with the order, and made sure I was happy with the transaction. This interaction and purchase was one of the most satisfying I have experienced. I am 66 yrs old and have had many transactions over my life. The positive attitude and respectfulness of this company’s employees is very refreshing, in our time we are never sure who or where we a talking too. It was wonderful to deal with a Canadian company with Canadian products. I received my guitar today and I am thrilled with the guitar and accessories. Thanks again Acclaim!

Originally left a 1 star review but after that the manager contacted me to investigate the cause of the bad review. He did a very detailed investigation of the order and made apologies. I recently wanted a guitar with dual P90 pickups and I came across a Godin Summit at Acclaim Music. I had just read an article about shipping during Covid and this company was not presented in a good light, so I was a little reluctant to deal with them. I decided to reach out to them and see what they had in stock. I dealt with Shawn Moore, their retail sales manager. He let me know they had 2. One at the store and one at the warehouse. I asked him for pictures which I wasn't sure if he would do. He did! He went to the warehouse and sent me a picture of the 2 of them. I made my choice and ordered the guitar. I am 100% happy with how things turned out. No issues, great service. I am not worried about dealing with Acclaim at all. I have since ordered two more items from them.

Of all the music shops, I found their website to be the best to navigate. You can sort, search and everything is clearly marked for it's availability. Exceptional service. I'm totally a fan! I was trying to get ahold of a certain guitar in black for month with other vendors. I ordered through Acclaim, and they were having difficulties getting it in from the manufacturer because of Covid issues that stalled delivery to Acclaim. I got a little impatient with the situation and complained to the staff of Acclaim on the phone. Thy offered me the same guitar in another finish - which I love - and I agreed. I recently was looking for a casio privia px-870. This digital piano wasn't available in most stores so I had to look online. Acclaim Sound & Lighting was one of the few places in Canada that had it in stock. I was hesitant to make the purchase because: 1. I haven't heard of this business before and buying a digital piano isn't exactly cheap. 2. I live in a different province and I wasn't able to go in store so everything had to be done online. I called the store to inquire about shipping, availability and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I decided to make the purchase and I received free shipping on my order and even a small discount with the coupon code I found on their website. My piano arrived in perfect condition and I will happily repurchase from this business in the future!

I originally ordered an Ibanez ew20asent that arrived with a neck problem. I shipped the guitar back to Acclaim, where the technician examined the guitar and determined that there was an issue with one of the high frets. I asked for credit for the guitar, as they would not do a refund, and decided to order a different model, the Ibanez AEW 40CD-NT. The new guitar I ordered did not have free shipping, but since I had to pay the return shipping on the ew20asent, Acclaim was generous and shipped the new guitar to me with free shipping. Shawn, the sales manager made sure to monitor the situation personally and personally picked out a quality 40CD-NT from their stock to make sure there was no issue with the new guitar. The 40CD-NT looked beautiful on arrival. I've only had it for one night so far, but the guitar sounds great, plays very well and looks great as well. I am happy with how things turned out. Although Acclaim did a good job following up and ensuring that I was happy, I still had to pay for the return freight on the ew20asent. I contacted a local guitar shop and they said that they would have been able to get the 40CD-NT in stock and price match Acclaim's online posted price. If I would have went that route I would have been able to try out the guitar before buying it, and if I was unsatisfied the return would have been free, and a lot less hassle. I would recommend checking if your local guitar shop will price match Acclaim's online prices before you order from them. But if you do have to order your guitar online, I believe you can be assured that Acclaim will deal with any issues in as fair a manner as possible.

We bought a guitar online and unfortuntaly it was damaged during the shipping process, which took a little while to figure out. The manager went out of his was to make things better and we got to go to Ibanez directly to have it looked at, which is normally not possible. Turned out the neck had an issue. Anyhow we exchanged the guitar and the manager delivered it to us personnaly all the way in Montreal. I highly reccomend Acclaim and I also recommend having a guitar shipped in a case to protect it.

Bought an amp first a few months ago and it was great. More recently I bought a guitar from Acclaim. Both times the service was exceptional. Shipping to Quebec was very quick. I made sure to ask about the guitar being set up properly before shipping, because I live in a very rural area of Quebec with no guitar stores or luthiers nearby. They told me every guitar that goes out the door and is shipped is inspected and set up properly. I received my new guitar today and sure enough, it’s obvious they took the time to give the guitar a proper setup. I’m very satisfied with the service. I dealt with Shawn to order an EV EKX-18SP sub and the service from Acclaim was A1. I am now buying 2 x EV ELX-115p speakers to complete the EV set up. Shawn was most informative on a choice of speakers which I was undecided on, whether to go with 12 inch vs 15 inch speakers for my particular set-up. Hearing what I was looking for, Shawn made a recommendation on the 15's and I have ordered them. I bought online an 1800$ electronic drum set. During the shipping to my address, Purolator lost one of the 2 boxes the drum set was packaged in. Because I never received what I bought, I asked for a refund. Here are some of what the owner wrote to me: "Risk of loss and title for items purchased from Acclaim-music.com pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier", which is what you find out after the item and your money is gone! This might, actually, be the case with any online store, I don't know! Next: "As a business, we cannot be expected to absorb a loss of this magnitude... we cannot process a full refund". Another one: "We are as much of a victim of this loss as you are. In fact more of the victim in many ways..." And many more... However, after about a month, Purolator found the lost box. Then, the store gave me the FULL REFUND, which is why I changed my feedback from 1 star to 2 stars. Also, I have to admit, they did not "run away" and answered my emails and phone calls. However, they did not give me the refund on the 2nd of October, as it was promised and agreed with the store's manager. The store'e owner approved the refund on the 16th of October, 2020, only after Purolator found the lost box. Moreover, ever since I did not receive the drum set on the estimated 16th of September, 2020, I was the one proactively involved with the situation writing many emails, making numerous calls, initiating investigation with the Purolator, as well as contacting the store to either fix the situation or give me the refund. Nevertheless, after all of that, in the end, I received the full refund!

Was looking for an upgrade to my current studio monitors. After a phone call with Shawn, he was able to direct me to brands/models that would suit my needs, in my price range. After placing the order , the same day of talking with Shawn, the monitors were shipped promptly and delivered in the same fashion. After receiving my monitors one would not power up and after a phone conversation with Shawn, the one that would not power up, was deemed DOA. Shawn initiated an RMA with the supplier and I had a return/replacement set up within a few days. I received my replacement monitor soon after that as well. All in all I cannot stress enough the highest level of customer service supplied by Shawn and the staff at Acclaim! They have always supplied great products, at great prices with exceptional customer service. Looking forward to my next purchase with Acclaim.
