We were totally inexperienced in renovation projects, yet we bought a house built in the 1700's that needed a total restoration! We met and hired Will from McCutcheon Contracting...which turned out to be the smartest decision we made. There was an incredible amount of work to do and Will's many skills, patience, communication and high standards made this project go well beyond our expectations. Every time he'd tear out an old wall or floor, there'd be “another surprise" hidden behind it that needed attention. Will would discuss options and costs, come up with a solid solution, then complete the "fix" quickly and skillfully so we could continue to the next challenge. We hired numerous tradespeople to help us on this massive project, but even with our inexperience and vulnerability...with Will directing them and checking their work we never felt taken advantage of. He was always there for us and never let us down. Every single person who has come through the house since it was completed has been in awe. It is frankly stunning, while maintaining it's cool heritage. Of all the things Will did for us, our favorite room is the upstairs bathroom that he had to demo down to the studs, and then rebuild something “modern and outstanding”. Below you can see the before and after pictures (doesn't do the room justice but you get the idea) We couldn't be more thrilled, and HIGHLY recommend you call Will and McCutcheon Contracting for literally ANY job. First let me start off by saying that I never write reviews but after hiring Will/McCutcheon Contracting, there is absolutely no way we could not… My mother recently moved in with us and in an effort to give more light in to her in-law suite we met with several different companies and received several quotes to have a full brick knock out take place and a window installed (where one was not yet existing) And while most companies price ranges were somewhat similar, we can say that the deciding factor beyond a doubt was Will himself! Will was highly engaging, professional, meticulous and not only completed the job on time, it was actually under budget! We were kept completely in the loop through the entire process and could not have possibly felt more trusting in him nor have possibly been happier with the work he performed. For us it was all about having trust and he 1000% did not disappoint! So much so that all 3 of our children were actually disappointed once the job was completed as even they enjoyed coming home at the end of the day to converse with him. lol We will continue to ALWAYS use Will and his company for anything we do in the future and beyond a shadow of a doubt, I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him to anyone! My wife and I were wanting to redo our ensuite bathroom so we started asking friends if they knew a contractor who was experienced in such work. A friend of my wife said she recently had her bathroom done so we went to see it, and were very impressed. So we called Will and he stopped by to give us an estimate a couple days later. Best call we ever made. We talked to some other guys but didn't have a good feeling about them. Will seemed very honest an knowledgeable, and he turned out to be exactly that. We are very happy with the work he did for us, especially the tile work. And we really liked how when he said he was going to show up or do something, he did! I highly recommend Will and his company, McCutcheon Contracting.
