Ecstatic about my new Noort home. The builders have been very helpful even after purchase.

Couldn't be happier with my Noort home.

I bought a new Noort Home many years ago and still live there today. Right from the get go things were not good with electrical wrongly wired. Over the years I have had to have professionals come in to repair many things and ever one of them shook their heads at the way things were done. All of my fascia boards are rotten well before they should have been because they used the wrong and cheapest wood possible. The deck post is rotten even though it is under the deck for the same reason. It has been one thing after another. I would buy another Noort Home even if they offered me a major discount.

Was very pleased with my new Noort home. They actually follow up on warranty items unlike most other builders I've had experience with.

Our unique home construction project was capably carried out by Noort Homes. A fine builder that I highly recommend.

Although we are happy with many aspects of our house, we are forced to give Noort one star. We became aware of water infiltration problems in our master suite shower after a few years ( a musty smell that wouldn't go away no matter what we did) but when the drywall near the shower started bubbling we realized there was a larger problem. The owner of Noort Homes did come out and make various suggestions to deal with this (all at our expense) but after a couple of years of this we realized the problem wasn't something we could fix, as it was getting worse. We decided the shower needed to come out. We hired another company to do this and the damage was extensive. An incorrect tile had been selected for the shower (unsealed and unglazed, it acted as a wick) and the drywall wasn't the correct type. Noort neither confirmed nor denied this, but refused to help. At six years after construction, we know this might be technically outside the warranty period, but this was their mistake, and a very costly one to fix, requiring a total gut of the bathroom, structural work, mold removal etc. Noort made a small offer towards a portion of the costs, which was insignificant and we rejected it. Our fence is also falling down in areas now (at 10 years after construction), we have noticed other deficiencies, and it is clear that what I have heard from friends in the real estate area is true: Noort was once known for quality construction, but that reputation is no longer deserved. Profit has become their king, not quality.

We live in a Noort Home duplex in North Vancouver that has been built in 2015. Quality of materials and finishes is top notch. They don't cheap out on their product. I have seen many comparisons by different developers but they can't beat my current home.

Quality of work not the greatest at Meadows in Aldergrove. I've had a house built by a different builder 10 years ago that was far more superior than Noort; as well as the overall service dealing with deficiencies was poor. The company is all about cutting corners, saving money vs. keeping customers happy. Agreed to additions, changes during the build - but I had to check in on construction to make sure the site supervisor/lead was completing the changes with his contractors...found things not done to specifications only having them redo work that should have been done right the first time if supervisor the was doing his job right, it wouldn't have been done incorrectly the first time. He was so overwhelmed with this scope of project..I believed not qualified. IE bathroom tiles lifting, carpet bubbling, and more issues that they don't want to fix. Disappointed with Noort...I would choose a different builder in the future.

Purchased our North Vancouver Noort Home in Sept 2015 and have been happily living here since. It was custom built by Fred Noort and his company and we purchased it once on the market. This is our first home, but my family has had homes built in the lower mainland for many years so my review reflects that experience. Overall, we've been very happy with the home. Minor expected issues have arose over the course of 2 years as expected with any construction project (cracked tile grout, creak in floor 2 years out, etc) - we've been most impressed with Fred being very responsive to our issues beyond the "1 year" warranty period. We've not once been ignored even if we had a difference in opinion in the end. The overall quality of the build otherwise is excellent. Not having chosen any of the finishings, we have been very impressed with the quality of materials chosen and attention to "extras" that most spec home builders simply don't put into their homes - sliding floor to ceiling doors, quality shower work, kitchen finishings, etc. Thanks for building us a great home to grow our family in Fred.

Guess what? It is impossible to please everybody!

We hired Noort Homes to build us a custom home. While I have heard many people complain about their experiences with their general contractor in building a custom home, that was NOT our experience with Noort Homes and their team. From the very first day they were professional and took the time to understand our needs and expectations and to clearly understand our budget for the build. We had an external designer that was involved and Noort Homes and their contractors were accommodating with our design ideas, and clearly understood how to bring into reality the vision that we had for our home. Our head contractor was also great at providing design ideas that were cost effective to us (or in recommending that we not pursue a design idea by recognizing that the cost for the idea would not justify the visual return from making it a reality), without taking away from the vision we had for our home. I would strongly recommend Noort Homes and their team for anyone wanting a superior quality build by someone that understands how to make that vision a reality while at the same time recognizing the budget set for the project. We have now lived in the home for three years and are as happy with it today as the day we moved in.
