Thomas has done work for us - large projects and small - for 10 years. His first project was gutting and completely re-building the downstairs floor of our 1950s-era home, as well as renovating the kitchen and making significant changes to the back exterior wall of our house. We are still in the same home and his work has stood up well over the course of the past decade. He has also been more than willing to make any repairs needed to the original work, however minor. He has built relationships with skilled people in every trade, who have also proven to be reliable and hard working. Thomas and his team were very thorough with their work and the end results look fantastic. We recently bought an old house(1890's) and Thomas found many of the same areas of concern that lined up with what our inspector had found, he had them fixed up in no time. When they took down the drywall in the basement they found quite the rat infestation. They boarded up and sealed all of the entry holes. I dont think those buggers will be coming back any time soon. Our soil was right up against our house without any protective barrier and the windows(ground level) were completely rotted, Thomas shopped around and found a great deal on new windows. While they were being matched up to our old windows they built a little rock moat around the front of our house to separate the soil from the house. We are very happy that they considered all preventative measures and presented the options to us with cost rundowns. The team was honest, hard working, flexible and professional. Would hire again, and probably will at some point considering the age of this house.

We are SOO happy with the work that Markley Construction did for our warehouse! We needed a few jobs done: custom change rooms, swinging doors for our cash desk and encasing to cover up hideous exposed a/c piping that another company had installed. All 3 jobs were done to PERFECTION! We couldn't be more thrilled with the quality of everything they did for us. 5+ stars for Markley Construction. We will definitely be using them again in the future!!

We loved what they did, and as our side garden had rotting wood and we wanted to expand it, we asked Thomas if he could come to our house and redo our side garden. He and his crew came on the date we agreed to and worked hard to complete a wonderful side garden. We are so glad we decided to hire Markley Construction to do our project. We purchased an apartment in New Westminster with the intention of renovating it entirely. Our plan was to choose a contractor for the ensuite bathroom, and if the renovation went well, we would continue working together on the rest of our projects. This was my first time selecting a contractor. New Westminster has unique requirements for renovations which must be understood by both parties. Many contractors we interviewed were oblivious to these requirements or were simply not interested in working under these strict guidelines. Thomas Markley was the best candidate by a large margin and made our decision easy. We had done a fair bit of research however there were several steps we missed and some good advice that came from the interview. We also had some issues of our own that would complicate the process. We had busy lives and difficult schedules and a protective Rottweiler at home. Thomas assured us this would not be a problem for him, and that he could make himself available to work around our schedules. As this was our first time planning a renovation, we needed all the help we could get. We had already chosen many of our suppliers before selecting a contractor. But after nothing but headaches we consulted Thomas. We ended up using every supplier Thomas suggested and abandoned our previous choices. All of Thomas’ preferred suppliers were cheaper, with a much higher quality, and gave us the perfect amount of direction without being pushy. Thomas is very good at scheduling his time. The only delays in construction were ones that I created through poor planning on my end and delivery delays. If I had planned effectively the entire renovation would have been completed in around 10 business days. Lessons were learned and our next renovations will go far smoother, as we will make Thomas a bigger part of the planning process. During the renovation, Thomas identified several points where we could create more value out of his work, and we ended up using all of them. With his guidance and the expertise of his subcontractors we were able to create a bathroom beyond that which we imagined. Thomas Markley is a true craftsman and an expert in his field. We are delighted with his work and plan to continue our relationship for all our renovations. P.S. He also gained the trust of our Rottweiler and is one of few that can enter our home without an escort.

We hired Markley Construction to replace our old outsideWe deck and they did an excellent job and were great to work with. The contract for the job was very professional, laid out scope of the job, payment terms, WCB & liability coverage. Everything in our contract was done exactly to our satisfaction and expectation. From the initial meeting, Thomas provided good suggestions, shared our vision on the deck layout and design and worked within our budget. Thomas was amendable to add-ons we asked for once the job was underway and was upfront and honest with us about everything they encountered as the job progressed. Thomas was onsite daily and the whole Crew (Mike, Brandon, Josh & Rick) were personable, professional, had a great attention to detail and gave us excellent ideas “big & small” on other components of our deck & house. If they ran into unexpected problems they were quick to resolve all to our satisfaction. They arrived early everyday, put in extra time as was needed and to balance off the rainy days. They cleaned up daily, with minimal disruption. We certainly made the right decision by hiring Markley Construction and we would not hesitate to hire them again for other projects or recommend them to family and friends. Our new deck is everything we wanted and more.
