We've been working with Century Group for the better part of a year now and they are incredibly professional. Everything from their overall planning, and everyday communication, the folks at Century Group are a pleasure to work with!

Visited this company to complete GST rebate form. Was met by Robin, the marketing executive and served well. Got the rebate and am thankful for the kind support and service. 5 star for Robin. PS Dec 2019. After more than 1 year of living at CG built complex, we found that the level of quality and service provided by CG staff is much lower than what we expect from a quality builder. Especially the so called heating and cooling system never work in the first one year. Out of 7 channel of colling/heating, only 3 are delivering those. Numerous complaints sent to CG and its related companies were not even acknowledged. Our strata council has to employ HVAC engineers to solve the problem. This created hardship and pamjor health problems for many owner/tenants in this building. CG committed to 22 degree in suite temperature but during the winter of 2018, our suite temperature is mostly 15. During summer it can be more than 30. So the committed temp of 22 is seldom except when outside temp is around 20, which negate the need of the building cooling/heating system - why install such an expensive system when it cannot deliver the promised 22 degree? Now we are paying several hundred dollars per month for this "grey" elephant. NO Star for the cooling/heating system and those who built and maintain this system

Never have I been so disappointed with a reality vs. the grandiose expectation set by this company. Buckle up as I hope I can save one soul from signing a deal with this devil. I've kept my concerns private for several years but I've reached a breaking point. I live in a "flagship" building in Surrey which they still flaunt on the homepage of their website captioned with "We build better communities and relationships built on trust." I welcome those individuals beyond the employees, their friends and family who trust this organization to enlighten me. From day 1, the promises they've broken are plentiful: - Completion date Spring 2016 (actual Summer 2018) - Quality of materials and construction - Innovative and efficient heating and cooling - Access to a rooftop patio for all residents - A say in the shared costs budget - The lowest strata fees in the area I've seen their boilerplate responses to reviews asking to contact a generic inbox to address complaints. I along with peers in the building have had several opportunities to send complaints to generic inboxes. CG loves to provide canned responses with technicalities and generic or vague language. They appear to only keep employees who are willing to subscribe to this methodology and exhibit time and time again a total lack of respect or empathy for the people who give them hundreds of thousands of dollars. I truly believe they count on owners being unable to coordinate a real response and hope the noise goes away. My wife so eloquently and diplomatically captured our experience in a letter dated December 27th, 2017. Due to character limits, I'll refrain from sharing but I feel it sums up our attempts to collaborate with an organization that supposedly builds "relationships based on trust." She did receive a call from the President, which was appreciated at the time, but we saw no material change in the way we continued to be served. In fact, upon receiving another amendment which, for the first time, quoted an estimated completion date past the "outside" date on our original contract, I decided to write a more stern "bad cop" response. We were informed our only option was to agree to the new date or terminate the contract and walk away. The lack of empathy should have been telling then but we persevered with optimism that delays were only delays and that we'd soon be in our home. Possession day did eventually come in the summer of 2018. We received our keys and entered our unit to find a leak in our ceiling and a puddle on the floor. We spent a few days in the hotel, with which we share a lobby and the developer owns, while the leak was addressed and the damage was repaired. The hotel shares the same "cooling" system we were promised in the residences which needed to be supplemented by 2 fans. We moved back into our unit to discover we could not be home from 2 to 7 PM in the peak of summer because of the inadequacy of our thermostat's maximum setting of "cooler". Imagine that through the heat wave of 2021 and needless to say we paid CG big time for cooling, even in October, for an ineffective system. I've stopped receiving responses to my complaints about the price of my monthly utility bill because the system is "operating as designed." 30+ degree indoor temperatures costing me $92 in cooling alone must only be poor design then. The hotel has beefed up the cooling in the rooms because it's so bad. In our time since possession, we've fired our original property management company, Barbican, a division of CG due to countless mistakes. Access to the rooftop patio was revoked. We've seen CG terminate a contract with the company who operated the heating/cooling system in our building after their leader started to share too much about the shortfalls of the system and CG absorbed operation and revenue. We've seen countless "surprise" invoices from CG who makes unilateral decisions on our shared costs to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars. We've had horrible interactions and feel treated like 2nd class citizens in our own homes. Sigh.

I cannot express how frustrating it is to be a neighbour living near the Century Group Development called Southlands in Boundary Bay. 5 years has passed and we are still looking at a WW1 battlefield. I have never witnessed such slow progress with no regard to local residents. I fully expect the Southlands development reviews to be exactly like the below reviews for their latest project in Surrey. They now want a 30000+ sq ft Brew Pub with a height of 51ft, I'm waiting for the Hotel application or casino next. Anything to annoy the residents. Please do us all a favour and sell this project to a developer that knows what they are doing before you create an even bigger mess than you already have. We the local residents don't want to live in a construction zone for the next 10 to 15 years. ***April 2019 Thankfully the brewpub application proposal was rejected by Mayor George Harvie and council. The Boundary Bay residents wait with anticipation for Century Groups next hair brained scheme.

Very disappointing. They offer you the prestigious life with community rules (which is great for those who are willing to pay more to live in a peaceful environment) but don't be fooled... They don't even reinforce their own guidelines. At the end, you pay more to be stuck with disrespectful neighbors.

Waited 5 years for my condo and when closing date came instead of apology, we get 100% increase in condo fee. Then when we enter the condo complex we realized it is not ready... Despite the 5 year period spent building it

Words cannot express how bad of an experience century group has been. They are terrible communicators and do not fulfill their promises. Their president has no respect for his clients and spoke to me in a degrating way. Do NOT buy into any new development with Century Group ...unless you have a lot of patience for nothing, no desire for quality products and lots and lots of money to waste. In response to your comment below, I have already done so multiple times with no positive results. The CEO, Sean was involved and acted in a demeaning, arrogant way. I know of about 100 very upset owners who bought into one of your projects. If it were only let down promises, I wouldn't be as upset. Your business practices are unethical. To have to fight to get our place completely renovated... when it is a new build... and live in the construction zone for one year ... is not acceptable.

Buyer beware, they are masters of bait and switch. With the housing market so hot, this developer doesn’t have an incentive to be moral. They promised us wonderful amenities and affordable innovative heating system on top of normal stuff like visitor parking and a gym. We got none of that: No access to the gym or pool without paying additional $100/month, no visitor parking, heating for 1 bedroom is ~$100/month and doesn’t work for many units etc. Not to mention there are plenty of defects in our units I’m a normal person, who just made the biggest purchase of my life, eager to move in - they completed two years past their promised date. Days before closing they sent us amendments and we had to sign or forfeit our purchase. I should have walked away. Years later, the iron clad legalese would give strata an uphill battle. Our strata fees and heating are the most expensive in the area and we don’t even have amenities! We get slapped in the face by Century Group constantly. Our lobby that we pay to maintain gets rented out for filming by the developer. So we last minute lose access to it and don’t even receive revenue from it!

Anything I have needed repaired has been handled quickly and efficiently. I love living in a Century building. I have left all my worries behind. I can count on them.

Edit: I love how all the 5 stars reviews are from their employees and people they work with but not their customers. Someone is desperate for good reviews... lol. I've recently purchased a condo from them .. The whole experience has been and continues to be a disaster. Worst customer service ever! They have no idea what they're doing. They changed the entire presale contract days before closing, with fishy new conditions. They hide behind loop holes in the law. Extremely unethical and unprofessional. dealing with them has been an absolute nightmare. I do NOT recommend them at all. They lie, don't care and don't deliver what's promised. It's sad they even call themselves a developer... I'm not impressed!
