In recent years and as recently as last month I've hired CGW for both plumbing and heating repairs and each time had a really good, very professional experience with great outcomes.

I have just experienced the absolute worst service from CGW Plumbing. They visited my home on 2 occassions for 1 complaint and not only were they not capable to resolve the issue, they overcharged me for both travel and work time. I attempted to resolve this variance with the secretary, upon which time she unequivically made the choice to not provide a reasonable solution or any acceptable customer service or understanding. I feel like this company are more scam artists than actual plumbers. They purposefully arrive to your property without the required equipment and not 'able to resolve the issue', only so that they can secure the business of a second (and I imagine for some people a third visit) and charge you maximum amounts at the same time providing zero results. I warn you, DO NOT CONTACT OR HIRE CGW Plumbing! FYI...my plumbing issue was solved by the next plumber I called within 1 visit and only a 2 hour invoice, I might as well have flushed the over $400 that I had to pay CGW down the toilet! If the owner of this company actually cares about their business I would hope that they look into the back end operations and properly train the staff to reflect the business vision...if they wish to be successful and realize longevity in a small town. I am extremely dissapointed and dissatisfied and I warn you not to engage with CGW Plumbing!

Here in the Kootenays, answering your phone and showing up means you're better than a lot of the competition and CGW does that. They also do a great job and review options so you're making the most economical decision. When you start calling around for a plumber, I'd recommend you start with CGW.

Hit and miss. First time: weekend drain emergency, Richard responded. Problem solved, 100% satisfied, $650 well spent. Next time: non-emergency, Nadine responded, didn't do the thing, promised follow-up which didn't happen, eventually received invoice for $150. Very polite email exchange clarified exactly what I wanted done, let's try again. Nadine returned, still didn't do the thing because she deemed it unnecessary. More polite email, my feedback was appreciated, then two weeks later an invoice for another $150. Having exceeded my budget for getting nothing done, I gave up. Insist on Richard!

Horrible experience, have major water damage to our floor under sink that went through to the basement ceiling. They took absolutely no accountability for the mistake the young new plumber made. Had a very frustrating conversation with the owner, where he primarily focused on blaming the part we bought and had no intent to fix the serious problem they created.

Had an issue with a pump leak. Called multiple plumbers all extremely busy, but cgw came to the rescue within an hour. Great service and excellent craftsmanship.

CGW installed a water softener system in our home. Their installation caused my wood floors in my kitchen to be flooded and water damage that flowed into the basement damaging drywall downstairs. The owner came to “investigate” and did nothing of the sort. He came to ensure we knew they were not liable for damage caused to my home as they did not know where the leak came from (even though we had video evidence showing where it’s leaking from) he also wanted to ensure we knew they are not responsible for damage cause by a water system we bought and asked for them to install. The owner refused to check the way the tap was inserted and plumbed in and said he would be charging me If I wanted him to figure out what is wrong with what he called a faulty system. He left saying, put a cookie sheet under The sink to catch the water and protect your property. After he left in a huff I investigated and found a bag of parts that came with the water system we supplied to them. These parts were never installed as per the instructions. The instructions clearly indicate these parts are part of the tap installation (where the leak is coming from) that the owner refused to look at while he was in my home. I do not have any confidence this company will fix the damage to my home WILLINGLY after dealing with the owner. We have had CGW to our home several times through the years with no problems. Now we know how the owner deals with problems. The public should be warned.

Prompt response to service request, showed up when scheduled, communicated time frames and completed tasks on schedule. Had issues with previous plumber's installation. Ralph is very knowledgeable and did a superior job of installing a new boiler system and adjusting the previous contractor's work to assist us in having a heating system that works so much better.

stove top gas repair. Best 30’seconds of advice I have ever had. Centre burner has been out of commission for months - Richard asked me to check that gas orifice wasn’t blocked using a tooth pick before he sent over service repair . Voila ! good as new. As they say in medicine - sometimes the best operation is the one you don’t have ..guess it also applies to repair services :) thank you CGW
