Van Isle Tile installed the tile on my kitchen floor, and kitchen back splash! They also did my front entrance and downstairs bathroom. I am BEYOND impressed! Everything is picture perfect. All jobs were started when they said they would start and finished when they said they would be! A professional company from start to finish!

In response to Richard’s comments, Van Isle Tile would like to provide our side of things. Response to 1. First Workday: • Shower pan installed and waterproofed Second Workday: • Water Pan tested 48 hours (24 hours only required by code) • Van Isle Tile suggested calling a city inspector to inspect the shower pan. • Suggestion was denied by Richard as he had not used an inspector for any other part of the job • Heated Floor also installed Third Workday: • Water drained out of shower pan • Membrane installed on wall before any tile was installed • Mosaic Tile installed on shower pan • This was done so as to NOT continue to stand on a bare membrane shower pan • Bathroom Floor fully tiled Fourth Workday: • Membrane installed above the 40” on two walls – to 2” from 8ft ceiling. • Third wall was not yet membraned above 40” because soap dish niches were custom and still needed to be cut into the dry wall • Tiling began on walls outside of shower and into the shower, not above the 40” of original membrane Response to 2. • Membrane was put on the shower walls 2” from the 8ft ceiling • The window and the corners of the two membraned walls were not completed after telling Richard repeatedly that the Kerdi Band product still needed to be installed before anything else was tiled • After showing Richard photo evidence that the membrane was indeed installed exactly as indicated, he still insisted that Van Isle Tile remove it all and pay for new tile • This is where our working relationship ended. Response to 3. • The pre-fab shower pan was not big enough for his custom area, so it needed to modified. And yes, was indeed graded properly and sloped to code. If he would call an inspector, he would know this. Response to 4. • All membrane inside the shower area was overlapped by the required 2”. See attached picture showing 2+” overlap. • Outside shower area (past the curb) does not require 2” of overlapping membrane • After providing pictures clearly showing that membrane was applied correctly, Richard removed tile on his own volition, pulling off membrane with it and damaging both the wall tile and mosaic shower pan tile . Response to 5. • With our working relationship ending, we mutually agreed on a payment amount to bring everything to conclusion • However, upon arrival to his house to retrieve tools and collect payment, Richard decided he no longer wanted to pay this amount and tried to pay LESS than the agreed upon price • Does Richard not remember that we have the text messages to prove all of this? • In the end, after being shown repeated photo evidence proving everything was installed correctly, Richard paid the agreed upon amount

Van Isle Tile did an excellent job tiling my shower floor and walls. And I was even more impressed with the bathroom floor tile work. They were professional and wore masks all the time and used hand sanitizer in between when they were tiling. I really appreciated the professionalism. When I'm ready to do our front entrance, I know who I'm calling!
