Ravenwood did an amazing job on our siding and gutter reno, tearing off old stucco and putting up new Hardie. The house looks amazing, things have held up perfectly almost a year later, they kept to their quoted price, and they were lovely people to work with. The owner, Greg, was very responsive by phone or email, both in doing the quote and throughout the job. He stopped by a number of times to check on how things were going. In instances where the cost went above the detailed quote, Ravenwood stuck to the quote (eg ended up needing 2 disposal bins but charged me for the 1 they’d quoted). In cases where additional work was required (eg rot under the siding that they’d warned me was there but couldn’t quote on until they’d taken the old siding off to see how bad it was), the crew onsite showed me the problem and explained the different options for what could be done. Knowing we were trying to keep costs down, they also did an amazing job sourcing some materials (eg finding a gorgeous window on clearance). I never felt talked down to by any of the crew, even when I had questions I knew were basic or when I didn’t even know the right words to ask the questions. Greg and Josh were excellent at explaining the work they were doing, what my different choices were, and making suggestions when I wasn’t sure what would look good. They were unfailingly careful and kind with my young kids and answered their many questions as well. The job Rob did installing the siding was perfect. Because of my kids’ interest, we watched a fair bit of the work happening, and he did a meticulous job measuring and levelling, down to things like touching up any nicks on the siding or sealing edges… the craftsmanship is amazing. Because it was a renovation to a 40 year old house, there were a couple places where he had to get creative to work with the existing structure, but he did a completely seamless job and even smoothed out some odd choices from the original build. I never imagined this house could look this good. They were extremely conscientious about keeping dust down when I explained that our kid has asthma. After tearing off the old stucco, I’m pretty sure they vacuumed our window screens or something – they were cleaner than when the job started. This is just one example of many where they just did a really careful and thorough job. They kept the job site very tidy and hazard-free for kids the entire time they were working. I would recommend this company to any friend, and would absolutely use them again.

We just had the vinyl siding replaced on our home here in Port Alberni. The people that Greg sent us did a magnificent job replacing the old siding and bring it up to code, as the house is 39 years old and so was the siding. Not only did these fine men do an impressive job with meticulous detail taken, but they worked at a steady pace to complete the work. The quality of their work is impressive and so is their workmanship. In a world of not being sure who to trust, these people went above and beyond to make a difference. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased. You are in good hands with Josh and his team. Michel, who installed the siding also deserves a shout out. He's meticulous and has a great sense of humour. It's not often that a company exceeds our expectations in every area. We hired Ravenwood to do the Hardy siding and T&G pine soffits of our 6600 ft2 custom house build. The job was priced fairly and the owner was very easy to talk to about the different ideas we had. There was a lot of detail and forethought put into our job while the crew worked on the house. The crew went over and above in their detail around taps, doorbells, and fixtures and the soffit angles. Josh, the crew supervisor, put a lot of forethought into every challenge and knew the building code well. He was a good listener and considered our input in every aspect. He made suggestions but had no problem if we didn’t take them. The whole crew was friendly, polite and respectful of our property and cleaned up each evening. As far as the job went, they did an AMAZING job and the attention to detail is what you would expect only of finishing carpenters. Very high- end, custom work! I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Although our job was small in comparison to the majority of Ravenwoods' projects, they still treated it equally as important as the larger ones. The Tech. that was sent (can't recall his name) was very friendly, knowledgeable and did an exceptional job. We would definitely use Ravenwood Exteriors again if the need arises.
