Boehm construction is an absolute horrible company, they cut corners in every aspect they can.. like hiding live electrical wires behind drywall. They also like to suck every customer dry to the point where they end their relationship with the clients because they are so far over budget. They have no ticketed carpenters working for them, the skill level their employees have is very poor. Dave Knight the project manager for Boehm Construction who googles how to complete his work that is front of him, Is a thief who has shut down his company is Calgary Alberta due to taking money from customers and never returning, The work that was completed by him is absolutely horrible. Can’t believe someone can do that to people. I worked as a contractor for Boehm Construction for 6 months and was frustrated with the way they dealt business. Constantly having money taken off your pay for no reason, to the point where the total came up to $11,402.00. I’m pursuing small claims court to get my money back, PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID OR THE PEOPLE THAT HIRED THEM. I’ll be posting pictures of everything as well of the shady business of Dave Knight.

I’ll start by saying that we now have a beautiful home and we are happy with the quality and the final cost psf. We worked with the Boehm team following a recommendation from our architect and meetings with Jeff to discuss our design plans and unique material choices. There were choices that we made throughout the process that certainly contributed to an increase in the budget. Building a house is stressful for everyone and if you aren’t anticipating going over budget or over your timeline, you’re probably not ready to commit to building. The Boehm team came up with a number of creative solutions to work with our “sometimes” demanding wants and needs. From the materials used on the stair risers to the solution used to minimise the expansion joint between the first and second storey, we appreciated the guidance and creativity. No large construction project goes 100% to plan, it’s a stressful experience. Boehm made working through our deficiency items simple. We have neighbours who used other builders and they waited 6 months to get fixes to problems on their houses, ours were fixed in a matter of a week or two. To the point, we are happy with our choice. Sure there’s room for improvement, but if I was building again, I would be better prepared with my own expectations as well. I’d give Boehm a 4 .5 just because there's always room to grow, but we’re happy so we’ll round up to 5.
