We had Field Plumbing and Heating come to our house to look at our furnace as it would not cut in and it was cold in the house. It was after hours, but they were able to come out right away. The service guy comes in the house, checks the filter, pushes the reset button and the furnace kicked in. He then leaves, after being there 10 minutes, and we received a bill for $261 plus tax, total $274.05!
I called to see if they could give us a discount on this bill as he was only there 10 minutes, and I was told very rudely that they charge $261 for after hour calls whether they are there 5 minutes or an hour and there is nothing he can do.
He said he was the general manager, so I am thinking he could do something about the bill. He sternly said that is there policy and he could do nothing for me.
I would NOT recommend Field Plumbing and Heating to anyone, unless you want to deal with a company who will rip you off and say it is just their policy. Very poor customer service. He did not even ask if they were able to fix the furnace, or if we needed to perhaps look into a new furnace. All he cared about was his immediate need of getting his outrageous bill paid. No consideration of future business ( which there will NEVER be) or the consequences of his actions getting spread all over social media so others know how Field Plumbing and Heating take care of there customers. Worst experience ever! I hope this gets out to any person who may be considering them for any work, so they can change there mind before it is too late.
I wish we had found someone better to deal with.
