We had our entire basement completely rebuilt through Westside and we are extremely happy (old 1950's house, 1000+ sqft basement). Included sound-proofing, plumbing, floor leveling, a complete bathroom and staircase. They did a tremendous job within deadline, in the middle of winter. Bruno, Dave, and Armando were patient, responsive, responsible and very respectful. Extremely easy to talk to, to bring up any concerns. Competitive pricing as well! Highly recommended. You'll have peace of mind when dealing with Westside.

This is an unusual and long review but please bear with me. For context, our house was built in 1960 and we have lived in it for 30 years. At the front of our house we had a step crack which extended from the sill to a foundation crack directly beneath . Over several years the crack worsened. During this time we contacted 2 reputable foundation experts. The first one said it was just a parge crack and covered it with cement. Shortly after the crack reappeared. A couple of years later we called a different popular west island foundation expert who reassured us it was a parge crack. Summer 2018 we are still very concerned since the brick above is now bulging as is the parge and again we are reassured that it is not a foundation problem. In late January 2019 we spring a basement leak from the " parge crack" which is now a suspected foundation crack. Not confident in our previous foundation experts, we call a third who repairs the foundation crack. In 30 years this was our first basement water infiltration. Confidant the foundation crack is finally repaired we are now looking to hire a builder to repair the brick, replace siding and install new windows. We contact 3 builders. First up is Bruno who took one look at the front of the house and told us we had a problem with the front exterior wall which was bent. The bend was subtle and hidden by a few cedars as well as many large plants yet Bruno's keen eyes spotted it immediately. He then carefully inspected our exterior as well as the basement.and strongly suggested we have our foundation dug up , new French drains installed, membrane applied and move our open sump pump pit (in the crawl space), as our pump wasn't working. He insisted we do not remodel the exterior until the foundation work is done since the bent wall would ruin any new renovation. The 2 other builders didn't see a problem and were happy to renovate our exterior. At this point we weren't sure who to believe so we hired a building inspector who is also a building engineer. The building inspector didn't seem to know why the wall was bent or concerned it was a problem. He didn't think we had a serious foundation issue but did recommend the french drains ,etc be done given the age of the house. We had the foundation work done in July 2019 by a relatively new foundation expert (not one of the previous 3). The perimeter of the house was excavated to the footing and a serious structural issue was discovered: a horizontal crack from the front exterior wall straight through the entire foundation of a false wall. A tree root was pushing through the crack thereby pushing the top part of the wall away from the bottom and bending our front exterior wall.(see photos). This was a very serious problem which we caught just in time because of Bruno. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! BRUNO! After having a half dozen experts look at our house Bruno was the only one who correctly identified the problem and offered suggestions on how to proceed. This is a a testament to his competence and integrity. We will definitely be hiring Bruno for all of our future renovations.

We hired Bruno and the Westside team to finish our basement. This was the largest renovation project that we had ever done, so we were naturally nervous. After meeting several contractors, we met Bruno and knew right away that he was the guy for the job! What makes Bruno special is that he treats you like you are the most important customer in the world. He is always there to answer your questions, to guide you and to keep you up-to date on progress. He also has great attention to detail and often fixes issues that you are not even aware of. His team was very professional and he really made us feel at ease with the entire process. He respected the timeline and made constantly gave us an update on the progress. We are extremely happy with the work done by Bruno and his team and we will be recommending him to our friends and family. It's no wonder why everybody we called only had great things to say about Bruno and his Westside team. This was our first project with Westside and they were really fantastic. The project was to add a floor to a split level house and Bruno made sure we had everything we needed on time, including the plans and supporting us through the permit process. During the work we were consistently impressed with how fast they were and how clean. Everyday we would visit the house and the site was always cleared and clean. Throughout the project Bruno kept us informed, provided recommendations and really worked with us to help realize our vision. Bruno's team have been amazing. They are always on time, and so open to answering all of our questions and making sure we feel good about the progress and outcome. We want to call out Armando and Sothy especially as they were on our project the longest and were really awesome to work with and everything looks beautiful. We needed to have a new kitchen and decided at the same time to remove walls between three of the rooms in the house to form an open plan concept for the main floor of the house. Bruno and his team were more than up for the job! Bruno showed his expertise in the design of the kitchen as well as the structural and ascetic concept for the open space. The design included a 12-foot wide sliding door to the outside deck providing sunlight to the living area all day. Bruno adjusted his work schedule to meet our requirements and managed to complete the work with minimal disruption of our life. I would definitely recommend Westside to anyone contemplating renovations to their home.

I recently had the opportunity to work with Westside Renovations on a complete home renovation project which included an extension. I did a lot of research and met with 3 General Contractors before meeting Bruno. From the moment I met Bruno, I knew that Westside was right for the job. Bruno understood exactly what we wanted and was very much at ease with the large scale of our project. The crew, (Dave, Armando and Justin) were amazing and able to handle anything that came up during the renovation; and as anyone who has ever undergone a major renovation knows, inevitable surprises always come up. Amongst other things, Westside provided new hardwood flooring; new staircase, new lighting, new windows, new doors and new paint throughout the whole house. In short, Westside turned a large split level which was in need of many updates into a stunning open concept, state of the art home. We couldn’t be more pleased with Westside and recommend them highly.

Westside helped us summer 2018 with a major extension, kitchen, bathroom and whole house renovation. Undertaking a large extension and renovation project, especially in Montreal, is a daunting task. Although it was an 8 month project from planning to completion every stage went very smoothly exactly as promised.....no headaches, a safe pair of professional hands. We did a second story addition with Westside, as well as interior renos. It was a complex project, but from the start Bruno was on the ball to identify next steps and took the time to explain and address any issues that came up. From the start we told Bruno that the exterior look of the house was important for us and we needed him to find the brick that would match with the existing 30 year old brick. To our pleasant surprise, he found the exact brick and delivered on his promise. Unlike other contractors where projects can be months overdue, we were very happy that Westside stuck to the project timelines and completed the job on time.
