Great store, lots of variety of musical instruments. Hey what's the deal with the weird dog at the back of the store who kept asking me if I was going to "Use the violin the way it was designed"? 4 stars because even though my artistic method is different I still ended up with a great new set of drumsticks. anyways I'm an adult baby, don't trust your cat!

I went to see about drum sets in February 2017 and found the store was closed until March 7th 2017. When I returned around 12:30 pm on March 7th, the lights were on but the door was locked. I then tried calling to see if the store was to re-open and got no answer on any of my attempts. I suspect that the 2 good reviews were made by employees or the owner

Went to the store and stood there for 10 mins. Nobody was behind the counter. Nobody came to ask if I needed help. Saw an older man in the back as I was leaving. He didn't seem to care that I was there. Was likely going to purchase from there but I will spend my money elsewhere.

I was in Midland for a visit, and came across a one-of-a-kind quirky but beautifully made violin at Johnstone's. Steve was friendly, helpful, and patient while I tried it out.
