They were great. Sent someone right away to show me how to use their programmable thermostat. There are many tutorials for other brands but nothing for theirs. They showed me how to use it, help me set it and did an inspection of the furnace before leaving.

The Lifebreath HVR unit in our home needed a repair. Set up an appointment for furnace maintenance service and a check of the HVR system. Furnace was tuned and parts ordered to repair the HVR unit. Repair was done in a timely manner. Jarvis did an excellent job. Once they give you a repair date and time, they call you on that day and let you know exactly when the technician will arrive. Friendly and respectful service. I highly recommend this company, will use them again and recommend their service to family and friends.

My furnace broke and they came in same day to look at it. Unfortunately it was a Friday, coldest weekend in February and it required replacement of the whole furnace. We got a quick quote (from Curtis) with a reasonable price and he made himself available for any questions or concerns I had. All information was clearly communicated and they made me very comfortable about the process, warranty, etc. They provided us with a couple of portable heaters so we would not freezer to death given this was the coldest weekend in February. They came in first thing Monday to install the new furnace and it was a quick install, we had it up and running and heating the house back up at around noon. Michael did a great job rearranging the pipes and cables and set it up in a way that it took less space in the furnace room. Very good job!

We had 5 different companies come in and give quotes for a new furnace, AC and tankless water heater. We finally decided to go with Builders Choice. Curtis was the only one that went through all of our options in great detail, even giving us information about how to obtain rebates. Once our install date arrived, the two guys that came were skilled, knowledgeable and very informative as to what was happening. They completed the job in 2 days in what I consider to be a very professional manner. Of course, there were a couple hiccups along the way because let's be honest - nothing ever goes as planned. Builders First more likely--small jobs left behind. Contacted Jason D for basement reno hvac work. All done as promised, Jeremy was both professional and courteous. Added a humidifier to the job and was a mess from there on. Wrong unit ordered/supplied not once but twice. It was very hard to get Jason on the phone let alone any call back to update the situation. Finally got information from the receptionist on the planned install date. Be careful when giving your credit card; was charged 2 times without my consent. Very frustrating experience.

Great service. My furnace stopped working on a snowy Saturday. I call them in the morning and their technician returned my call in less than 10 mins. He walked through the troubleshooting process with me on the phone and identified the possible cause. I followed it and the furnace is back and the house is warm again. If you're like me, you are a little unsure about which of the many HVAC contractors to call and it may come down to these reviews to nudge you one way or the other. I always read the best and worst to get a feel for the trends, and decide from there. In my case they were the only one I noticed where people mentioned fair pricing. After booking them in person at their shop (which they opened early to accommodate me!) to the quick response at my house (within the hour) to evaluate my needs, we setup a crew to come and replace my old furnace (my decision) Not once was there any attempt to "upsell" me, and in fact they went out of their way to keep the costs as low as possible and even discounted me for components that I didn't need to replace (thermostat, condensate pump, exhaust venting) Every person I came in contact with was professional and polite, and went out of their way to make the experience surprisingly pleasant. In the end, I got a great product at a fair price from an honest company with fantastic people! what else could you ask for. I would definitely recommend them and they are now my "go-to" company for any future needs.

The furnace at my parents wasn't working and I called builders choice over 10 times and left voice-mails, I was forced to call Reliance, Reliance came out that day and fixed the problem at no charge. We were having excessive heat issues with our gas fireplace. Jason made some suggestions for us and then supplied and installed a set of fans to resolve our issue. Also, our fireplace was turning itself on by itself and Jason removed the remote control and wired up a wall switch for us. He was very helpful, professional and we feel very comfortable with his work. UPDATE: Additional work done on March 23, 2021 We decided to add a humidifier to our HVAC system. Jason M. once again provided excellent service. He wore a face mask (Covid-19 precautions), was on time for our appointment and completed the work in the amount of time we expected. The installation of the humidifier/Water Savor was clean, neat and well organized. Jason took the time to go through the installation and answer all of our questions (I had many questions!). Our gas fireplace glass broke into a million pieces. We contacted Builder's choice as they installed the fireplace when our house was built. I received an email back the same day arranging for new glass to be ordered and someone out to make the replacement. Our technician Travis arrived on time and was very happy to help. He helped to remove what was left of the broken glass, made sure our fireplace was running properly and replaced the glass. My builder recommended Builder'sChoice to install some duct work in my basement. Curtis was very nice, came to my house and gave me an estimate which was reasonable. Andrew and his colleague came to install the vents. Andrew is very knowledgeable and made some very creative decisions which allowed us to keep our bulkheads as small as possible. They are experts at what they do and very pleasant to deal with. They will come up with ways you may not have thought about to run the ducts. My advice: Use Builder'sChoice, I am sure you will be happy with the results. If you dont trust me, look at the reviews, People love them!

Hello, I don't normally post reviews but the reason I picked this company was because of the reviews which helped me so maybe I can help someone else. It was my birthday on Sat Jan 16 2021 of all days, and we had just gone out to pick out a birthday cake and about 10 mins after coming in the door this terrible noise was coming from the furnace. I called one company who was polite but not willing to help us because of the brand of our furnace. I then called Builders Choice based on their reviews I felt I was making a good choice. My husband jumped on line and found out what the name of the part was since you could hear it and feel how raging hot the motor was. When Jason called us back which took around 15 mins he was able to instruct my husband over the phone where to look on the furnace for the info he needed and my husband told him it was the exhaust motor by looking online. Jason was able to order our part without him coming out twice. He had to get the part from someone else and called us when he was on his way. Jason was here in 15 mins and had that baby purring like a kitten in no time at all. The cost being on a wknd and having to get it from the only supplier available put the price up quite a bit, but we knew with it being an emergency call it would, so that was not a problem, we were just thankful we could pay the bill when during covid money is tighter for so many. Jason was so polite courteous and professional and apologized a few times for the cost but under the circumstances we were just so thankful for him coming out and having everything all wrapped up in time for us to still have time to order take out and celebrate my birthday! All the while keeping us and our three pets warm in the middle of winter, thats alot to be thankful for right? We will definitely call them first if we have any other concerns and not be afraid, like I am to use other companies that have some terrible reviews.

We have always had a great experience in our dealings with these folks. Today we had a problem with a water leak in our A/C unit. Travis was here when they promised. He was courteous and professional and got us all fixed up. In the past we have dealt with Curtis and Jayson with problems with our furnace and other A/C problems (neither of which we had originally purchased from Builder's) and they were again handled efficiently. We are really satisfied with the gas fireplace that they supplied and installed for us. it is great to deal with people who know their business and are good at it. Thanks to all of you. June 2020 An update to the above - we just needed another service call and once again received exceptional service from everyone at Builder's. After 30 years we are replacing our old furnace and A/C units with new ones from Amana and Builder's Choice. October 2020 We just had an issue with our remote control for our fireplace...the great service staff had it working properly again with a simple suggestion over the phone. Thanks to Jay, Debora and Curtis. January 2022 We just purchased a new gas range and needed someone to disconnect our 20 year old unit and and install the new one. My first thought was Builders even though I was unsure if they did that type of service. I checked with Builders and sure enough - they came through again for us. All of the folks in the office, the service department and the technicians who did the installation were great to deal with. Kudos to Dave, Jay, Jay and the entire team again!

We called Builders Choice based on reviews. The reviews are accurate. We had no heat and young children; based on that BC sent a tech within two hours to assess. With a 45 year old furnace, we knew we were due. Met with Curtis from sales that day, had a new furnace 3 days later (they offered 2 days!). As a customer, I complete my due diligence. I cannot say enough good things about Builders Choice!!! If I could give you guys ten starts I would!!! Our furnace quit working late last Friday afternoon and our builder told me to call Builders Choice. When I called they said someone would be out at some point that evening and Travis showed up to see if he could fix the unit. He informed us that he couldn't because he didn't have those parts on his truck but he was kind enough to make sure our gas fireplace was working properly so we would have some kind of heat. Travis is not only a great service tech but he cares about the customers -he even took the time to call me back Saturday afternoon to check in and let me know they wouldn't be getting the part until Monday or Tuesday.
