Purchased 3 Heat pumps from the dealer, with the option to have them all controlled remotely via Wi-Fi, got them installed. but Taff doesn't know how to operate it nor connect it, So now l have no access to use the WiFi option to adjust temperature as I wish remotely. I called them couple times on regards the issue and still haven't heard back from them. It has been already 6 months ... So overall get your machines installed but don't expect a decent after-sale service.

So they installed my heat pump last yea saying 5 years labour warranty and parts warranty. No this year I asked them to do do maintenance and cleaning they said they need $200 for that which was covered at the time of sale!!! And I can’t clean it by myself if I do warranty will go so basically to keep warranty pay them 200 every year. Honestly for me it’s rip off and robbery as after sale service. Please stop this and give every information before you instal unit and keep at least customer record. They even didn’t have my record of sale until I provide them proof. Just wana say be careful everyone.

Our boiler mechanic, Jason Greek, was great! He explained the way our oil boiler functioned, since we just purchased this home, and why it is important to leave the boiler on, even in the summer months. Once he opened the boiler, he brought us down to show us the terrible mess that was in it, since it had not been maintained since 2012! He worked very hard for 4 hours and I trust he did a wonderful job on it. We really appreciate his expertise in bringing our major heat source back to what it should be! Thanks Jason!

In the middle of a major cold spell in January, the draft fan on our wood furnace stopped working causing major smoke issues in our house. Thanfulky, Jason G., the multi professionally talented technician from Rhyno’s and Langille from Bridgewater in Nova Scotia assessed and fixed the issue very rapidly and took the time to also check our furnace for a major noise issue that he quickly fixed in no time. I have rarely met such a friendly, dedicated and exceptionally experienced technician n a long time. Thank you!

I phoned Rhyno's yesterday regarding a overheating safety question about the Benjamin wood-oil furnace installed by Jason Greek in April 2021. I was wondering if the furnace had an overheating safety control that would shut the wood draft and cut power to the oil burner if the furnace got too hot and if it did, I wanted him to see if it was working properly. Some of my wood fires get pretty hot so I wanted to be sure there was the safety override. He was very knowledgeable and said the furnace had the safety system and then he checked to see if it was working properly. I can now be confident my furnace will not overheat. We also had a great discussion about my experience with the furnace since I purchased it. He came quickly, had a patient and professional attitude and checked over a few other things and gave a great review of everything he had said back when he first installed it. It is one thing to sell and install a product and another to know the product and stand behind it and for all of this 10 out of 10! Also, this is a very efficient and well designed product that keeps heat in the house and not out the chimney.

Worst service I've ever experienced. Assured by office staff that they could provide a service that they were not authorized to service. Technician couldn't even execute a proper diagnostic. "Fixed" what he ASSUMED was the problem, and the unit still doesn't work. Company refuses to take any responsibility and we now need another company to come finish the job.

I am the Building Manager at Empress Gardens located at 461 Larry Uteck Boulevard in Halifax. We recently contracted Rhynos to service our 76 heat pumps on the property. All initiatives that necessitate contact with our residents in the building requires that the technician has the communication skills necessary to deal with such a diverse group of people. Andrew was the perfect person for the job. Not only was Andrew consistently pleasant and polite, but he also went the distance on each call. He carefully helped the seniors move and replace the furniture and was patient even happy to share his knowledge when curious residents wanted to learn about the heat pumps. He informed them on what they needed to do to keep the unit working well (clean the filters) and even went as far as to replace batteries in remotes for the seniors who couldn’t figure out how to turn the heat pump on. When he found units that needed repair, he was diligent to ensure that the repair would be done in a timely manner so residents would not be without cold air during this very humid summer. As his partner in this endeavor, I was impressed by his professionalism. Andrew arrived on time every day armed with all the supplies he needed and always with a smile on his face. If some calls where more difficult than others, I didn’t know about it throughout the day because he knew that I too was very busy, and he didn’t want to put more on my plate. During our briefing at the end of each day, he would let me know how things went helping me to gather the information needed to build an assessment of our needs going forward. Andrew is smart, conscientious, takes true pride in a job well done and most of all, he really cares about people. Mr Shawn Heisler came to our home to investigate a hole in the basement floor with water. After a thorough inspection of the “hole” and other drains, Mr Shawn recommended we put the camera in sewer access point to check the condition of the pipe. He confirmed the pipes are in good condition, determined the “hole” was no longer in use. He did a great job was very polite knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you for letting us know the status of the drain and sealing the hole with an plug. Great work we are VERY satisfied. This was a plumbing service call.

I had a corroded 'T' on the chimney of my furnace and could not find an "off-the-shelf" replacement so I decided to call Rhyno's to find out if they would make the part to my specifications. My request was directed to a technician by the friendly reception staff. I emailed some photos and drawings with measurements and within hours I had my replacement made and ready for pickup. It fit perfectly. The cost was definitely appropriate considering that of any comparable parts available at a hardware store and especially that it was custom-made. Thank you to all involved.

Commercial refrigerator not working/keeping up to temperature. Matt came to diagnose and was at the time unable to do the permanent repair but not due to lack of knowledge. He knows what needs to be done but circumstances did not allow it at the time. However he was able to do a temporary fix and that has the fridge up and running presently. Had a site visit with a salesman on August 30th. The salesman was very nice and let me know we'd get a quote after I sent over some additional information. I sent extra info that night didn't hear back, after a few days I reached out again, still nothing. I waited a few more days and tried once more, still nothing. A week later I contacted their sales team rather than the individual and have still not heard back from them. It's been 24 days. I'm clearly not going to choose this company for anything. Imagine if you purchased a unit from them and it was having issues and they just decide, nah I won't reply to them. Really unprofessional.
