We had our furnace inspected and found severe cracks in the heat exchanger. Charlton & Hill did an estimate for us that was better than other estimates we had. Over several days we had at least ten different employees dealing with us and working in our home. Every single one of them was friendly, professional and bent over backward to be helpful. They did some extra things that were not in the estimate for no additional cost. The service was exemplary and I would highly recommend this company.

The upgrade to a sinks water supply hoses was completed quickly and the work was of high quality. Service technicians (Don S and Joal ) were friendly, polite, informative, knowledgeable, and left the area very clean. After the work was completed they explained what was done. When they entered the house, they wore plastic covers on their boots and they wore masks following all Covid 19 regulations. I would recommend them to anyone having plumbing issues.

Our furnace died on the 27th of December of 2021 on the 28th we lost water in the kitchen. The temperatures were roughly -30 at night and -25 in the days. Stephan and Austin arrived on the morning of the 29th. They were installing new water tank and a new furnace. LENNOX ELITE c/w HUMIDIFIER and MERV II FILTER. They started working on the install at 8:30 and by noon they had the new furnace in and running and within another hour or so they had the water tank in and running. They brought portable heaters with them to help unthaw the water lines. So by the time they left at 3:30 I had heat and water. They were professional, through and very helpful. Thank you both for making a stressful situation less stressful and panic stricken

Called on Christmas Eve after talking to 6 other companies who wouldn't come out to look at our broken furnace until the end of next week. Receptionist was very helpful and assured me a tech would be out to take a look shortly. Within the hour Keevin showed up at our house. Was very kind and personable and showed my husband what seemed to be the issue. Was out in 30 minutes and the price was about half the estimation from other companies. My frost free exterior tap has been leaking for years, and I never fixed it because the proposed solution was to cut out the drywall inside the house ... but now that my leaky tap was more like a fountain, had to fix it. Don started with changing washers and eventually replaced the inner stem without having to cut any drywall. A mess free job with excellent results. Started with the most economical solution, and although that didn't work the process was clear and the cost was communicated before the work was done.

We are so very impressed by Charlton & Hill’s quality of service. When we called this morning we were pleasantly surprised to have an actual person answer the phone instead of having to leave a message. The office kept us informed on the approximate time someone would be here, ‘she’ was very helpful. Adam, the service technician just left our home; what a friendly helpful guy he was! We were having a problem with our furnace, which fortunately turned out to be a very minor problem. Adam answered all of our questions and even gave us a few helpful hints. We especially liked their offering of a free service call if we donated to a charity of our choice....what a concept! We would highly recommend Charlton & Hill.

Lon from Charlton & Hill came to do a Flood Awareness inspection at my home. He recommended replacing my old water tanks, sump pump and washer hoses. He and Jamie came 2 days later and replaced all of these and installed a new humidifier as well. They were very courteous, checked with me every step of the way, completely cleaned everything that they worked with, hauled every thing away when done. They were friendly and had a great attitude and sense of humours. They also explained everything to me afterwards and were very good about questions. I am very happy with the great service they provided.

On Dec 23 we noticed our furnace was not starting. We called Charton & Hill immediately and they had a service man call us back. Keevin Smith called and said he would come over later that evening but because our two fireplaces were working we said the next morning would be fine. They were very professional in installing this equipment, understood what they needed to do and completed the work on time. It was a lot of work for them as they had to vent the Energy efficient 2 furnaces and hot water tank outside. On Dec. 16 my furnace was having its last breaths. Charlton & Hill (Caroline-the best telephone answerer ever) told me that they would have someone available that afternoon. That was still 3 hours to go. I said I would get back to her right away. I phoned 5 or 6 places and all busy, Phoned Caroline back and she had someone out here within the hour. This guys name was Don. The best trouble shooter ever. He tried for three hours to revive my furnace but alas its 15 year old parts had had enough. Thanks for trying Don. You had to tell us the bad news. You felt bad. Its ok. It is what it is. Then along came Terry and he had to tell us the really bad news. We figured more and the shock was over. Terry (the best salesman ever) answered all our questions and had a furnace in stock. Bless your little heart. Remember Don the trouble shooter? He showed up with 2 great heaters. What a guy. I then talked with a knowledgeable woman -sorry forgot your name- who was the best scheduler ever. We talked various payments and was told my furnace would be there in the morning. I think you might be one of the bosses. You go girl. Promptly at 9 Brian showed up. So polite. Oh my gosh. I heard him working back there till 4. What a diligent and patient man. Was the most horrible experience I've ever had with a company. Was given quotes to have a new roof or repair done. They stated the roof could most likely be just repaired. Went in to pay the 1600.00 dollars they had quoted but found after another rain, water was still coming in through the bedroom ceiling. Called them in and they did come supposedly to fix again but a few weeks later still had water coming through the ceiling. This had gone on for over a year and spoke to the manager of the roofing dept. He said instead of repair I guess they should have just put on a new roof. When asked if they were taking the monies paid from the repair to put on new roofing he responded no. So when asked if the repair was going to be done properly he said they'd have to charge again. From what I've been told the first job by C&H was quite a mess and they'd totally missed where the problem had been. From what I understand this is not the first residential job to be botched. I guess they're too busy with commercial jobs to give a damn.
