While customer service was quick and friendly, it was ultimately not helpful. Would definitely not recommend Avonlea if you decide to live on the Coulee. We have had our siding damaged 10 times in the 3 years we have lived in our new home. Currently at over $10,000 in damages and now are required to redo all the siding on our home for $30,000. They will only warranty their siding for one year and say that any damages beyond that (even the significant amount we've experienced) are not their responsibility. Our neighbors have not had damage like this with their Vinyl siding.

I've been waiting for almost two weeks for someone (anyone!) to get back to me with information about a condo. I have emailed multiple times, tried to visit showhomes during the advertised available hours, and have yet to even speak to a representative. Nothing has been posted about a change in showhome hours, or the temporary lack of a representative, and I cannot find an alternative way to contact anyone. It's not just terrible customer service, it is a complete lack of customer service. Zero initiative to build relationships with future buyers. If there was anyone interested in buying a home from this company, plan on the process taking a VERY long time.

Great company to deal with! Sorry for the lengthy review. After going through all the builders in Lethbridge we decided to build with Avonlea, a big part of our decision was Janae our sales lady. We found her to be far less pushy and way more helpful then some of the other sales reps we had talked to from other builders. That meant a lot to us as we felt that she really was putting our thoughts and ideas ahead of anything else, and making sure we got exactly what we wanted for what we were willing to spend. Throughout the build process we changed a lot of things with the home, Janae and the Avonlea team couldn't have been more patient and accommodating, we changed the layout of our mudroom and entry way and there drafter came up with every possible out come for us so we had all kinds of options to choose from. Once we were happy with everything we made our interior selections with Hayley, she was also great to deal with. She was full of great ideas and any decisions we had trouble making she would give her honest and professional opinion. Her experience helped us a lot and we couldn't have been more happy with how everything looks. Once we took possession we started to work with Ron who was also great, he was very accommodating with our schedule and very thorough with our walk through (actually picked up on a lot of stuff we wouldn't have noticed) and any little things that needed to be addressed once we moved in were repaired immediately. That leads me to Marinko, he was the one who came in and fixed everything, hes very easy to get along with and did a really good job on everything and had the repairs completed quickly. We couldn't be more happy with how everything turned out and want to thank everyone who was in on the build, this is the third new home company I have built with and by far my favorite. If anyone tells you anything different about Avonlea then they clearly haven't built with them. Thank you, Justin and Kendra

Poor Customer Service. Once the year is up with your new home you can expect to never see Avonlea again. On year one we had concrete issues in both garage and driveway. The solution in the garage was to epoxy at a shared cost...That is fine and was told to just keep watching the driveway. Fast forward to year three. It took eleven months for Avonlea to look at my driveway and have zero communication back to me. This is not just a one off problem as there are multiple home owners with the same problem. I would suggest if you have multiple issues with the same item you should address as an organization as I would tell anyone to go build with someone else that actually stands behind their products not only in year one but many years thereafter such as Galko or Signature Homes.

Overall, Avonlea Homes went beyond my expectations for service and quality. The employees were very helpful, responsive and took my concerns seriously. I was a first time home builder and knew nothing about the building process which made it really daunting, but the salesman and designer were very helpful and patient with me which I really appreciated. If I were to do it again I would definitely build with Avonlea!
