They took a week to estimate my house, looked at it without even talking to me in person or on the phone (didn't even knock on the door when here) and then declined the job via email. Strange way to do business. I guess the job was too small (minor repairs/maintenance work), but still couldn't hurt to have a chat with the owner for which you are estimating? I guess they only want complete roof replacement type jobs.

Darren McMartin was recommended to us by two neighbours a few years ago. He was punctual, friendly, honest and provided pictures to go with his estimate. About a year later, we had a branch fall on our roof, causing a leak. He answered my call that night, recalled the colour of roofing we had, and was onsite the next morning to repair the damage. We have also had him come and clean the gutters and roof, and inspect for damage seasonally. He cleans up the yard and driveway well afterward, sometimes better than it was! His prices are certainly fair for the service he provides. We would recommend Darren to anyone with roofing needs.

Darren and the team at McMartin Roofing just finished replacing our roof, gutters and downspouts. My husband and I did our due diligence and had a few companies provide us with quotes on getting our roof done. One quote was significantly more, one was significantly less and one was "give or take" the same. We then spent time researching the materials each company offered and McMartin Roofing came out heads and shoulders above their competitors. The works was completed on time and on budget. We just had our roof redone in Langley. Darren was wonderful to deal with from the first time he came out to look at the roof...to coming back after the bin was taken away to clean up and check for any nails that may have been left. Many years ago we had our roof replaced by McMartin Roofing. They did an awesome job and the roof lasted about 17 yrs. Last year we decided that the roof needs to be replaced again. I googled McMartin roofing and discovered that McMartin Jr had taken over the business. We had Darren & a few other roofers give us an estimate. We were so please with our first roof it seemed obvious to go with McMartin again. Once again they did a great job, no issues at all. I would recommend McMartin roofing to anyone.
