General Concrete was wonderful to work with. My husband and I had a vision for the our backyard for sometime but we were having a challenging time finding a company that would make our vision a reality. I reached out to Dan, after seeing their work at a neighbours place. I knew it was a lot of work as we needed to remove a deck, a tree, concrete and level the yard. Dan came by the next day, looked at the yard and answered all my questions. We were provided with a quote a day later. Once the company began the work, things went very quick. The employees were friendly and did their thing outside. Nate was on site often and kept us updated on the progress and next steps on a daily basis. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. The employees were friendly and honest. I have to add, Ben found a couple of dollars in the back yard and gave it to me. I wouldn’t have known other wise but I sincerely appreciate his honestly and ethics. General Concrete is a wonderful company to work with. They made out vision come to life and gave us a backyard that we can finally enjoy for years to come. I would highly recommend them and would provide a personal reference!

General Concrete did a large patio project for me that involved excavating the site, levelling the ground, forming the job and pouring and finishing the patio. It was a tricky job that involved matching up to several existing features and the result was fantastic. They were fast, professional and delivered a great result for a very fair price. We've been doing a full house renovation and therefore we've had many different contractors working on various parts of my house. Needless to say, General Concrete Ltd. was our best contractor of them all. Nate and his team were very detailed to make sure everything was perfect. It took me awhile to write this review as I did not want to say it too simple that General Concrete company is great and I recommend it. I wanted to find write about my experience with General Concrete in comparison with all other contactors whom I had hired over the years to work on my properties. From my first interaction with Nate I felt that this company Is different from anyone else. Nate came to my place to measure and assess the work. He provided me with his recommendation on the work on my property. Unlike other contactors he was not pushing me into the decision to hire his company or to do more extensive work that was required. He even stated that I may choose to replace my whole driveway and back yard concrete; however, it would be a waste to replace some of the parts as they were still good. I definitely did not expect this as from my previous experience, the contractors usually want to charge you more pushing you into the decision to do more than needed. When General Concrete crew came to do my concrete replacement this again impressed me as they were always on time and very respectful. They really work hard and at the end of the day still were very pleasant and had smiles on their face. The work they did is amazing. Demolition was relatively clean, no rocks flying or extra damage to the property. Everything seems to be contained and under control. Preparation for the concrete was tedious. Lots of measuring, putting forms in a straight line and amazingly bending wood forms to make rounded areas. This was another wow for me. Another great work was meticulously placing metal rods and fixing them into the house. I know for sure no more thinking will happen with this type of work. Pouring the concrete was very quick and again very clean. I asked for 2 different types of finish: brush finish and rock finish to match my front driveway. Both ended up great. Not to forget, the front stairs, When demolition was done I notices that my old front stirs were build on mostly sand and therefore they cracked and sank over the years. When General concrete re-do my front stairs they used a lot of rocks and forms and at the end the stairs looks amazing. All different neighbors come everyday to give their complements on my driveway and the sidewalk. Thank you very much General Concrete for all you do.

Workers were always on time particularly when it came time to pour. Workers were friendly and left no mess behind. Cant believe we waited this long to get the job done. Got a few quotes when shopping around for driveway and foot path wrapping around the house. Nate's quote was the most reasonable. In addition he always replied to my concerns and questions in a timely manner (both before and after deal was struck). The price was transparent and you could see how adding/excluding various components affected the quote. The project was completed on time and on budget. So far, so good.

I usually don’t write reviews but have to say that this is one such company (General Concrete Ltd) that is worthy of a great review because it’s hard to find a company that delivers on its promises and goes out of their way to accommodate your requests. Before hiring General Concrete Ltd, I had approached several other companies for my concrete patio and driveway extension and the feeling was not good right from the start - as the old adage goes, once bitten, twice shy. However, with General Concrete Ltd it was different. Nathan showed up on time to discuss the project and right after that I received an estimate with a breakdown of each item and what it would include - no hidden fees, no gimmicks, no nonsense. I had tons of follow-up questions and changes to my project almost every day which were promptly answered. Best of all I never felt pressured. Despite his busy schedule Nathan was always available on SMS, phone and email and his team was excellent throughout and have been delightful to work with. Not only they did an exceptional job, but they also took the time to clean and tidy up the whole back and front yard including power washing the section of the street off the driveway. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend General Concrete to anyone looking for any sort of concrete work.

General Concrete did a hillside driveway replacement and an addition to our parking area beside our house. They also suggested a replacement of a brick pathway into cement, which was a great idea. We had an Allan Block curb replaced with a cement curb. They had good ideas on how to improve my design. They were ON TIME and ON BUDGET! They did good work and a good cleanup. There were no surprises.

From our initial contact to the final product this company was fantastic to deal with. By far one of the most reliable and professional contractors we’ve had contact with. There was no pushy sales tactics and I could tell they knew what they were doing when I ask a few questions.Nate was always available by email or phone and addressed all of our questions and concerns in a timely manner, even on weekends. We had to ask them to push the start date back a week because we were out of town and they did it no problem. We also requested a few changes once the framing was in and Chance who my husband dealt with was extremely kind and professional about the changes and assured us it was no problem. General Concrete did an excellent job at removing our old concrete driveway, steps, and walkway and replacing them with new. They were well coordinated and did the job with only a small delay due to a perimeter drain problem discovered during demolition. They arranged to have it fixed, and we were completely satisfied with the end result. We highly recommend this company.

It was a pleasure working with General Concrete Ltd. on replacing my patio and driveway. I was impressed with the professionalism of Nate and his team and the care they took in removing the previous concrete/asphalt and providing a quality base for the new concrete patio and driveway. The team made a strong effort to ensure my design requests for the curved patio were respected along with the need to install a new sump and drain tile and to also create a level platform for a future small garden shed. Nate answered my many questions patiently and competently, and provided regular updates on the timing of various stages of the project. Dan came early May 29th and removed all the old concrete with a backhoe. Then his crew came later, putting all the forms and rebar in and waited for the concrete truck to arrive. As the concrete was being poured, the crew got to work and finished 2 driveways and a sidewalk, which was stamped with a brick effect. This was all completed in 1 day. Dan and his crew were very professional. If you want the best, call them. A few months later there was an issue with drainage. I called Nate. He came by the next day and cut a small grove by the drain pipe which remedied the problem. Best of all.... NO CHARGE. These guys are the best.
