Covid-19 questions, mask, gloves and booties before entering our house makes us feel safe and that they care about us and themselves during this unprecedented global pandemic. Richard's thorough assessment and recommendations and Mikey's attention to detail and meticulous installation are highly appreciated. Our 25 year old furnace was due for replacement and we ended up with the Dave Lennox Signature furnace that is 99% energy efficient, so quiet we think the furnace is not running and the heat so even. They even suggested upgrades to our gas meter etc. which should have been done when another HVAC company installed our on-demand hot water system. Now, all our gas appliances work like they are meant to work and not struggling to come on. Thank you, Gandy!!

My old furnace was making a bit of noise and there was a burning oder coming from the vents so I called Gandy to have a technician come out and take a look at it. After diagnosing the problem, the technician laid out several options as to what I could do. I decided to retire my old furnace and purchased a new Lennox high efficiency furnace and thermostat. The sales person was low pressure and very patient in answering my questions. Again, he laid out the various options and gave me the time to consider the pros and cons of each option. The sales person even suggested adding a vent to deal with a cool basement. Major bonus! On the day of installation, the technicians from Gandy were absolutely fabulous. They were very professional, explained everything they were doing, and extremely friendly. The company also sent out the documentation that I would need in order to submit the rebate application (which was being offered by Fortis at the time). Gandy was recommended to me and I would certainly recommend them to others as well.

The Gandy dispatcher called me back within the hour and told us they would try send someone out the next day. At 8am on Sunday, Taylor B was on our doorstep. Great responsiveness, my furnace stopped working and they came that day to fix it. It was during a cold snap and I think they moved some things around so we could have heat again which was a real blessing as I have two little kids. Technicians were knowledgable and friendly and were able to get my furnace up and running in a couple hours, they stock parts on their trucks so they don't have to run back etc. the whole process was seamless and I was really grateful for the work they did. The technician was efficient & communicated well, explaining the issues and replaced the thermostat. We showed him that some vents blew cool air and some warm air for which he offered explanations. He suggested duct cleaning to try and resolve the issue of 2 vents not moving air. In retrospect, I'm surprised that their own service was not recommended. Hundreds of dollars later, I still have a heating problem!

We are most delighted with Gandy Installations. They installed a new Lennox furnace, Wi-Fi smart thermostat and Navien tank less water heater. Rob, our salesman answered all my questions and made suggestions to improve the duct system. He was professional, knowledgeable and promptly provided a detailed quote. The crew of Mickey, Mike and David did a top notch job installing the systems and ensured maximum useable room in our small furnace room. They were prompt, efficient, careful and paid attention to details including finding a good solution for running the thermostat wire. The first thing they did was to roll out 2 red carpets to protect my new garage floor - impressive. They did a good clean up as well. Mike is credited with waiting behind to make sure the thermostat was registered with Lennox and instructed how to use it. Our home is so much more comfortable and quiet. Gandy exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them for HVAC work. They are the best in the business. Just had our first service done on our Lennox furnace and Navien tankless water heater serviced. Gandy responded to my concern about covid-19 and they sent a double vaccinated service tech to my home. He was friendly, patient and very competent. Seeing the complexity of the work performed and the skill and care that Lorenzo displayed, I am still very happy that I chose Gandy Installations. I still highly recommended this firm for all HVAC work and give them 5 STARS.

First class service! Our air conditioning system broke down. Gandy AC technicians came quickly, and not only did a thorough assessment and fixed the problem, but explained what they were doing each step of the way. I had a lot of questions. They found some better options than we were originally told. All the work was done in a day. AC works great but haven’t had much use for the furnace yet.

I employed Gandy to do a gas fireplace service after a recommendation from someone who used them for furnace service and duct cleaning. They were the first company that actually would book me in as constantly told by other companies they aren't doing fireplace servicing so THANK YOU GANDY. The service technician called ahead of time to let me know he was on the way, arrived on time, listened to my concerns about the fireplace, was speedy yet efficient, explained everything he'd done and demonstrated how to relight the pilot if it ever went out. He gave me suggestions on improvements without being a pushy salesman, such as installing a thermostat instead of an on/off switch. I think the cost was reasonable and worth the service provided. Great service all round and I would recommend them.

On behalf of my wife and I, we would like to take to take this opportunity to give a big shout out to Gandy's Installations with a huge thanks! As a family business, the many positive reviews for this company and a highly recommended referral from my brother, they CAN be indeed trusted to come thru for you. I say this because after the unprecedented rains, they were worried about getting one of their journeyman plumbers out to to home not until next week. But I was surprised to get a call from Max at Gandy Installations to say one of their expert plumber, Mikey would be dispatched the following morning at 9am to replace our 11 year old hot water tank with a new replacement model. Mikey not only installed the new unit, but moved our expansion tank so that it did not interfere with our access to our furnace. He further followed up with his professional work ethics with post installation cleanup and overall stated timeliness. Finally, we are very happy and thankful to Gandy Installations (Langley), Max (residential installations manager) and Mikey for their prompt responses/followup to our concerns. We definitely will not hesitate to use this great family business as they care greatly about your family comfort. I will be sure to refer this company on my Nextdoor app, to my family and co-workers. AC intermittently not working. System was inspected and cleaned but nothing wrong could be found. He suggested it was likely the thermostat or wiring based on the symptoms, which is what it turned out to be. I was also shown how to use and maintain the AC and fireplace, which were new to us and no manuals were left behind by the previous owner. Very happy with the technician who attended.

Justin Bennett was the technician. He was on time, diagnosed the problem (lack of hot water) promptly, and went for a replacement Navien check valve. He returned in a couple of hours and replaced the valve and checked to ensure hot water had been restored. He also took the time to go up on the roof (twice) and re-caulked the roof vent for the furnace that had been installed by Gandy in 2012 because the rainwater was collecting in a pail in the furnace room. We have had this problem for many years, and he did not hesitate to attempt to solve it. That was greatly appreciated!

I first used Gandy Installations over 30 years ago and continue to use them and recommend them highly. This week my furnace failed and within a few hours of calling a tech was at my house and confirmed my suspicions that I needed a new furnace. As he was leaving my place a home heating adviser called and was at my place 2 hours later to go over my options. By early that afternoon a furnace had been chosen and located and the ducting requirements given to the tin guys. Yesterday was my installation and besides doing a neat and tidy job of replacing the furnace they left everything spotless...nothing changes...If you want a professional job done ..hire professionals

Do not buy a Lennox furnace my furnace was damaged in the flood. They were too busy which was understandable so I had another furnace guy come and it needed a part from Lenox. Lenox will only let certain guys that are Lennox furnace guys to get the part though, it was pretty weird that during all the flooding and stuff that the guy on the phone basically hung up on me and didn’t care. I called Gandhi and ordered and waited for their service guy I sent them the part number pictures and a video of exactly what was wrong all it was was a simple part to replace on my furnace I then booked a time then they did not show up and gave me a text an hour after they were supposed to be here iPhoned there and they did not care and just kept saying they had to check the furnace first before the part and didn’t acknowledge any of my emails or info that I provided not a very professional company will never use them again

Our furnace finally gave out after a number of years, and we called the company that we had used previously for maintenance, which were very slow to respond with a quote or any info. We got tired of waiting and needed heat in the house so checked online and found Gandy Installations! Called them and got Rob Dolinsek who within a matter of hours showed up and gave us a quote on the spot and gave us a reasonable date for install. His customer service was amazing and all contact with Gandy was professional and dealt with in a timely matter. The installers that came, unfortunately I don’t have their names, but were so respectful and polite and did such a great job. They cleaned up after themselves and were very helpful with info on our new thermostat. Would highly recommend this company!

Edit: Salesman called me promptly this morning after my review. Arranged for a prompt quote this afternoon. Am satisfied with follow up as things happen. I was mostly taken back a bit by the original info supplied by reception that someone would get in touch within "48 hrs" to set up an appointment. Obviously "no heats" need to get handled on a priority but your system should be able to arrange a call back and set up an appointment time quicker than 2 days even if that appointment time needs to be much later because of workload. Potential clients can end up waiting 2 days the whole time not knowing if an appointment time will be a day later or two weeks later. Original: Called them last Wednesday. Was told someone would call me within 48 hrs. Seemed like a long time but okay. Still waiting for call back to set up an initial appointment.

They showed up on time and provided a diagnostic for the stated price. The tech was friendly and appeared knowledgeable and the diagnostic appears to have been correct. (Update: it does not appear the diagnostic was correct). The company answered phones quickly when I called. Despite these good things there is little value for what they quoted for the repair. The quote for the repair to my boiler seemed excessively high. It was close to $1000 including labour and the part (which can be bought for $200). I did not get them to do the work. It was a 20 minute job to replace the board. Seems like a steep hourly price to me. I understand there is driving time, overhead, fuel costs etc., but it was still way too high. Good service but terrible value. I also had made a call after the diagnostic to clarify what the required replacement part number was but never got a return phone call. I would consider them for diagnostic service calls but would seek out quotes from other companies for repairs.

Gandy installed our Lennox furnace 8 years ago. When we had it serviced in late November of last year, it was discovered that our heat exchanger was failing and needed to be replaced. Our Gandy service man instructed us to buy a second CO detector to ensure our safety should it fail completely while they were waiting for the new part to arrive. Due to extreme shortages of parts and the fact that our failing heat exchanger was causing the furnace to trip and shut off for safety, Gandy successfully worked on getting Lennox to provide us with a completely new furnace at no additional cost (only paid for installation). I had a furnace issue Nov 7. It was diagnosed on Nov 8 by my plumber as an issue that had warranty coverage through the manufacturer. I called Gandy Nov 9 as they were an authorized dealer for Carrier. Talked to a tech who confirmed the part and some labor would be covered. He said I would owe for the balance, likely 8 hours - maybe a 1000$. This tech said their usual diagnostic fee might be waived as the issue had already been diagnosed by my tech. I spoke to the main office Nov 10 who scheduled my repair for Nov 26. At this time I was not told they operated based on flat fees - I assumed they like most plumbing and heating companies billed by the hour. During this call I was told it could be two guys for a day. Nov 13 I received an email quote. It was for a large sum, parts and labor, and a diagnostic fee, despite the fact no Gandy tech had been onsite. I replied that the quote was incorrect - parts and some labor were supposed to be covered. Also I wasn’t expecting a diagnostic fee. I received a revised quote Nov 16 which showed parts covered but still no mention of the included labour. There was a large amount quoted for labor but I assumed that was in the eventuality it did take two guys a day. The diagnostic fee was still there but in the invoice notes it said the diagnostic fee wasn’t included so I assumed that would be adjusted later. I asked Gandy to go ahead. Nov 20 I get a call from Gandy saying the parts had to come from the US and it could take a month. Did I want to pay for expedited shipping? As I had been without heat now for 12 days I reluctantly agreed. We had to reschedule then as the parts wouldn’t arrive in time for the 26th. Parts came finally and the repair was done Dec 4. Final invoice was a total rip off. The repair only took 2.5 hours for one guy. There was some prep in the shop ahead of time assembling the heat exchanger. So I expected my bill would be for a few hours plus shipping. Instead they charged me a flat fee of 1350 for labor. This plus the warranty monies for labor (370$) amount to 1720$ in labor for 4-6 hours work. (287-430$ an hour). And they still included a diagnostic fee. I called the office but was blown off. I contacted the GM who responded quickly and in detail but in the end still stood by the bill. Also they would not provide a shipping invoice to prove the shipping cost. Would not recommend. They may be competent techs but their flat rate billing is a predatory billing practice. Gross overcharging.

I've used Gandy before. A while ago, my furnace was not working. I called the company who installed it and after inspection I was advised that I needed a new furnace! I had only replaced the furnace a few years before! I decided to call Gandy on the recommendation of a friend and all that was needed was a new heat exchanger! Recently the furnace was making an odd noise and I again called Gandy and a young man came and took care of it. I was advised at the time he was coming and he also called me to advise that he was on his way which I appreciated. He put on special coverings over his boots which was great. I had Gandy come to do a duct cleaning and a tune up. 2 separate crews came, one for duct cleaning and one for furnace and A/C. Both were very professional, took the time to explain what they were doing and why they were doing it and were polite and friendly. There was a part on my A/C that was apparently on it's last legs and the tech checked and it was still under warranty. I wasn't too sure how my thermostat worked in all the different modes but they took the time to figure it out even though they weren't too familiar with it themselves, and made suggestions on what modes I should run to save money. I don't know how much longer I will be in this house but I will definitely use Gandy again based on today's interactions with both crews.
