Very disappointed with the services. Constant delays and constant rescheduling. Guy who did the work had a very good attitude and produced what was required. Management was not organized. If you have a lot of time to waste getting your project done then go for it, otherwise go elsewhere

But Brent said they would look at it and see if it was something they could do. So Drew came over and was so patient. He had never seen this before but he took the time to explain as he took it apart. He figured out what the problem was and fixed it. What a professional electrician he was. When he was finished my little tree stand was rotating perfectly and I will be able to put up my family Christmas tree. The experience with BPM Electric started off bad and then got worse. We initially communicated with the company owner, Brent, in order to get a quote for the project. The owner gave us a range of $300 to 400 initially and then changed the estimate to $400 to $500 (+ or - ) when scheduling the appointment. BPM’s owner always seemed a bit evasive and didn’t promptly respond to our inquiry to confirm an appointment date and time that he had given us. Instead, late one evening days later, the owner texted us that he could fit us in at 8:00 a.m. the next morning. Only after we agreed did we learn that he wasn’t going to do the work himself, but rather was sending out someone else. The technician arrived late and then immediately asked to use our washroom — Sorry, but as a professional he should have taken care of his personal $@&! prior to arriving. — The technician later left for 30 minutes to acquire some materials including 12 gauge wire and a 240 volt plug. —Now wouldn’t you expect an electrician to carry standard wire in his van or at the least to come prepared with the right wire for the job since he knew the current code requires 12 gauge wire for a 240 volt- 20 amp line? Furthermore, we had texted pictures of the breaker box, installation wall, and wire end of some equipment as well as the spec page from the manual at least three days prior to the date of installation. The technician should have had sufficient time to acquire the necessary materials for that part of the project prior to installation. BPM’s owner had mentioned that GE breakers were hard to find. The technician then during installation brought it up again, claiming that only one retailer in all of BC supposedly was authorized to carry the GE breakers. I’m puzzled by this because I called the City Electric Supply store that is at most 5 minutes from our home, and they had 10 of the GE 20 amp double pole breakers in stock that we needed. When we informed BPM’s owner of this in our complaint, he gave us a song and dance that he doesn’t use City Electric Supply as a supplier. Now, mind you, the technician was only on the premises for 3 hrs 15 minutes. When we complained that the labor charged seemed excessive, BPM’s owner represented that the techician had spent 2 hrs 15 min preparing for the home visit (i.e. calling around to locate the supposedly rare GE breakers that our panel required, for standing in line at the electrical supply store to secure the materials needed for the job while supposedly other electrical contractors were being helped and rung up). As for the bill, it did not itemize the materials installed. Instead, the bill listed three charges only (Total Materials, Total Labor, and Total Due). We didn’t catch the billing mistake at the time. Essentially, the labor charge broke out to 5.5 hours at $89.00 per hour which was well more time than the technician spent on the installation. The total bill came to approximately $850 including taxes. Since we decided to add another 20 amp- 120 volt line at the time of installation, we realized that it was going to cost a bit more than originally estimated. However, with the final price coming to over $850, we felt taken advantage of. BPM deserves zero stars for its appalling business practices including: (1) Charging 2 hr 15 minute prep time for an uncomplicated project is ludicrous. (2) Not being prepared for the installation (lateness, failing to keep personal issues out of business matters, failing to bring the necessary materials, etc). (3) Claiming that the materials were hard to locate when a quick call to the local electric supply store revealed the contrary. (4) Leaving the job site for 30 minutes when Home Depot and City Electric Supply are only 5 minutes away from our home. (5) Complete lack of transparency in the dealing — when asked for a breakdown of costs, the company owner merely offered a range for the total and then qualified the estimate as a “guesstimate” or with plus/minus language. Even the bill failed to spell out the individual material costs.

BPM did a great job fixing our electrical problem in our condo unit. Drew was polite, understanding, professional and thorough. Drew went one step further and checked the remaining switches and outlets and discovers another issue unknown to us. He quickly fixed both issues. The office staff is fantastic and well organized. Brent MURPHY goes out of his way to contact the customer ahead of time if the issue is urgent or gain more info from the client to ensure the service is provided accurately and quickly. I have relied on BPM for several years for my home and income property and never been disappointed with their work/service! Thank you BRENT and your team for excellent service!

BPM replaced a builder-installed and ugly ceiling pendant light fixture for me with a gorgeous new 3-pendant light. They inspected the ceiling box to ensure it was correctly installed and would hold the weight of the new fixture; attached the new and took immense care with adjusting the length of each pendant cable to get it exactly the way I liked, and really went that extra mile (or three!) to make everything perfect. Zach and Drew were both fun and professional, and Brent is very responsive, answering queries and messages in a timely manner. BPM is a FABULOUS team of professionals who know what they're doing. I very highly recommend them to anyone requiring electrical work and am myself planning to hit them up in the near future to install new "smart home" wiring for my condo. For now, I'm back to gazing at my beautiful new perfectly-installed lighting fixture. Thanks, guys!!!
