This company is very professional. When I called, the secretary transferred me to a technician so that I could explain what I needed help with. The technician noted all of the necessary information and then transferred me back to the secretary to book an appointment. I received an email with all the details that we had discussed and the appointment date and time. I received an email reminder on the day that they were coming and then they emailed me a detailed bill for the work done. I loved the service.

An electrician from this company came to my home and gave me an estimate that was so high and not matching my needs that it was outrageous. The guy was suggesting I put everything up to code, wanted to drill through ceramic for minor problems, and drill holes all over my kitchen to install two GFI plugs. For five plugs he wanted to charge me $6000. I called another local company who did the job for 10% of what Electrika quoted me and who were blown away by what he had suggested. To install a 60$ electrical panel Electrika wanted to charge me $2000 or more and tried to convince me I needed it for "security" reasons. The other electricians were much more accommodating of the constraints that existed within the home and were honest about what needed or did not need to be done. I will never again call Electrika. I can't believe the guy actually thought he could get away with it. The only credit I can give them is they ended up reimbursing me for the "estimate" that they did - because I had to pay them 100$ for that outrageous quote on top of it all.

After researching several Montreal electricians I decided to hire Electrika for a job on a large loft condo at Place des Arts. The job was complex because it required running power across concrete ceilings with metal conduit and installing large new lighting fixtures in all the main rooms. Most of the smaller electricians I rang were unable to provide this service or could not start the work for several weeks. Electrika sent someone to assess the job the same week and completed the work the following week. They provided a detailed quote for approval and their technicians (Matthew, Mohammed and Mohammed Ali) were very polite, professional and tidy. I would recommend Electrika to anyone who wants the job done right , on time and on budget.

We have used Electrika for years and we have now decided that we will try another electrician. They installed our electricity in our backyard and the following summer it was not working. When we called them we had to spend an addition $450 and they then informed us that if we had installed another piece of equipment the repairs would have been covered by warranty. That is pretty convenient. If we installed a piece of equipment that they never told us about we would have saved $450 dollars! Now they want us to pay the repairs and install the piece of equipment. It seems pretty disingenuous to us. Bye-bye Electrika! We are installing air conditioning and I have not approached them for a quote. Also, my parents have written them off after an equally unsatisfactory experience. Something has changed because they were a terrific company before.

Great service. The electrician arrived on time and fix my problem. The electrician was professional and really careful. I do not five 5 stars because I find the same day service a bit of deceiving. Same day service can be achievable only if you have an emergency and if you pay a hefty amount for the emergency. The company sends the electrician around 3 pm (not late at night) probably paying the normal salary but you end up paying a high prime. Why pay this you will ask? Or why you don't wait? Well, I had an issue with the heaters in winter plus a baby at home. It is a situation that you don't want to prolong. Anyway, my problem was fixed and I was happy (not my bank account)

We chose Electrika for the update of old wiring in our 140 year old home, and are very happy with the choice. Richard did our initial inspection and prepared a very detailed list of work to be done and a quote. He and Kyle carried out the work and despite several surprises after opening the walls of this old house managed to do it all as planned. Along the way they made it a point to ask us if every thing was done to our liking and on the one or two times when we saw something we thought would be done differently they listened and changed it. Our house has original plaster walls and charming plaster molding. While removing the much less charming original wiring, Richard and Kyle were meticulous and careful, and we were left with all new wiring and very minimal plaster to patch up. If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, I would do it.

Booking an appointment took me 3 minutes when I called, costs were explained very clearly during that call and again when the designated Electrician showed up. I got a text an hour before he arrived, a call from Ricardo when he was 30 minutes out and he arrived on time. He explained their payment policy, reviewed what needed to be done, then sat down to write up estimates. Once done, he went over the work to be done and asked how I wanted to proceed. I chose the option I was ready for and he got to work. Whole process took less than 1 hour. Ricardo was pleasant, professional, careful, sanitary (what with Covid and all) and I couldn't be happier with the work and the 12 month warranty that comes with it.

The electrical wires coming into our house were damaged during a windstorm and hydro had to cut our power until all the repairs were made. Electrika was able to send out someone right away despite the fact that they were very busy. Communication was very efficient as they sent notification along with the picture of the electrician who was coming. Kyle the electrician also called to say what time he expected to arrive at our house. He did an excellent and thorough job. It was not cheap but was worth it. He even contacted Hydro to tell them the repairs were done and that they could come reconnect the line.

I strongly urge you to STAY AWAY from this company. I recently booked a first-time appointment. Aside from a 98$ tech travel charge (fair enough), they offer various 'Diagnostic' plans that start at 190$. The electrician was here for no more than 1 hour, literally did not repair a thing, and left us with a 300$ +tx bill (paid before he actually gives his diagnosis). The actual work would have cost another 925$. I asked if he could at least change a dimmer switch for us. He said it would cost another 40$ if he used mine or a little more if he used one of his. We are 2 self-employed workers with variable incomes. I cannot help but feel SCAMMED. Follow up work: After the a/m initial visit, John, the owner called rather quickly to discuss and address our dissatisfaction. He ended up coming over to see the work for himself. He listened and then made us an acceptable and fair revised offer to fulfill the work. He sincerely cares about offering professional service and in satisfying the client's issues. We are happy with the outcome and to recommend.

So I called John at Electrika, a CAA-approved residential supplier we have relied on for 15 years, and scheduled a home electric inspection. A few days later, Kyle, an electrician with a permanent smile, and Dylan, his apprentice, arrived at the scheduled time and introduced themselves in a professional yet friendly manner. The dynamic duo then covered their footwear to protect our newly finished floors and got down to the business at hand. While Kyle conducted a thorough inspection of the service panel, corrected breaker safety issues and disconnected unused circuits, Dylan braved the cold to inspect and restore the exterior outlets. Dylan then came inside and connected and set up a thermostat while Kyle installed a cooktop, both of which are working just fine. Kyle returned the following week to install a couple of GFCI breakers. During both visits Kyle was happy to answer all my questions and concerns, and volunteer helpful suggestions to protect our home and family for many years to come. We hired Electrika to fix two malfunctioning dimmers in our home. On initial phone call with the company, I was advised of the $100 travel fee, but was not given any more info with regards to a quote. On arrival, the electrician explained the diagnostic package would cost $250 and that we would only be charged extra if the job ended up being more complicated. This seemed reasonable and we decided to go ahead with the impression that if the fix was simple, that would be our full cost. It took him 15 minutes to figure out that it was simply the dimmer switch that needed changing (our previous dimmers were cracked). At this time, he revealed that it would cost an additional $80 per switch to wire, even though we provided the new dimmers ourselves. The total job took about 1 hour of his time and cost us $600 after tax, an exorbitant fee to change two light switches. This company seems professional and reliable, but the way the quotes are provided is extremely not transparent and even misleading at times. I would not hire them again for this reason. Edit: after leaving a bad customer review, I received a call from a manager who reviewed the file and confirmed that we were overcharged by the electrician. They ended up refunding $200 of the $600 bill.

Nice gentlemen came this morning, they are charging 100$ for an estimate, never received an invoice ( was supposed to receive it by email) for that cash payment, was supposed to receive an estimate ( never did). I've had so many problems finding reliable contractors that I got fed up waiting for call-backs & sudden job cancellations (without any notice), that I decided to go with ELECTRIKA. Within days of booking my appointment, a team showed up exactly as scheduled. I should mention that the receptionist advised me before hand that the travel fee would be $98.00 & did I still want to confirm. So yes, it's a costly fee, but at least I was forewarned & knew what to expect (unlike some other companies that were not upfront about their travel fees). Mohammed & Dylan came to change 2 thermostats & install a new base for a pull-cord light switch. They were professional, thorough & respectful. In addition, I was glad to see that they put on shoe coverings at the entrance, in addition to wearing, masks. I paid a little more to save a lot of aggravation. This alone was well worth the price! To conclude, my experience with this company was positive from beginning to end.
