Collin provided a detailed quote up front, gave us great design and component ideas along the way and would always respond to questions very quickly (usually with an hour or two). During construction Mike would start every morning asking if we had any questions which was much appreciated. The on-site workers were courteous, clean and efficient. There were some additional plumbing related repairs that came up (due to the age of our home), but these extra items were always explained well and options provided. Communication was always great. They finished the project on the short side of their estimated time frame and were within the quoted amount (excluding the extra repairs necessary). Would highly recommend Collin and his team!

Westmount Craftsmen did an excellent job gutting and refinishing our ensuite bathroom. Working with a designer, we had an ambitious design to completely reconfigure the bathroom. Westmount effectively handled a few surprises uncovered by the demo, and were responsive to challenges and changes throughout the process, which involved a lot of custom elements from different providers. The onsite staff, led by Mike, and sub-contractors were always professional, courteous, and respectful of our home and schedules, minimizing the disruption. We're extremely happy with the quality of the end result, thanks to everyone at Westmount!

We had Collin and team come in for a major kitchen remodel including relocation of the staircase to the basement. Our project included reframing structural supports, removing walls and building new ones, infilling floor, new hardwood stair, demolition of foundation walls, drywalling, masonry, rewiring electrical with new lighting, new plumbing including running a new gas line, new custom kitchen cabinetry with granite countertops, new flooring throughout the main floor, painting, and more. We are thrilled with the end result, it's like we have moved into a new home. Westmount was very easy to work with from proposal to completion. They were very accommodating to us, open to our preferences and providing appropriate guidance and suggestions for when we were unsure. As a person in a wheelchair who remained living in the home throughout the project, the team was always careful to keep the project site clean and barrier free. Huge shout out to Eric and Arsenio for their knowledge and skill, their attention to detail and high quality workmanship was critical to the finished product. Our project manager, Nathan, was always very responsive and communicative; keeping us informed and included with all aspects of the project. Together, they all made the experience of a home renovation as stress free as possible. We highly recommend considering Westmount Craftsmen and will be looking to bring them back for future projects in our home.

We connected with Collin about a year before our actual renovation started. Every interaction has been professional and positive! We felt no pressure to sign with Westmount for the job, or pressure to start a reno that we were honestly still unsure regarding what we really wanted for our home. All quotes given were detailed and understandable. Communication was always clear and considerate. Once we signed our contract, information on the Buildertrend app clearly outlined the scope of the work, budget and timeframe. During the timeframe of our project, COVID-19 was becoming a serious concern. Everyone involved in the work on our home was consistent in keeping the work and home environments clean and separated, keeping each other safe, considerate of our worries early on and our decision to delay our job start date. The transition between the demolition crew and the rebuild crew was made thoughtfully to the trust built with our demo crew over the first half of our project. All Westmounts subcontractors are top notch and every one was respectful, funny, dedicated and great communicators. We lived in our home during the entire reno with just one weekend away for spray foam insulation to be installed. We were given ample time to prepare for that during the weird days of COVID. Our home was checked on over that weekend and we were given updates with photos on how the insulation went and the smell that goes along with spray foam. On all working days, including the very messy ones with concrete being broken up and water lines being moved or put in, the crew kept all areas being worked in so clean and so safe. Dust doors were put up too and days with extremely loud noise, ie. concrete cutting, we were given warnings ahead of time. Our entire project was incredibly efficient regarding scheduling and coordination of all work and installations. We were never waiting on anyone or any item. Communication, understanding, professional guidance in decision-making, and problem-solving were huge positive factors working with our Westmount team. The great example I can give of this is materials recommended and used - from our floors, to the four new windows installed, to the kitchen cabinets, every one hit our important targets of quality, functionality and budget-savvy choices. 12 to 16 weeks was our original time estimate. Our project wrapped up ahead of schedule despite some big scope creep which was accommodated without issue. In about 50 working days (or approx. 10 weeks) our basement was gutted, spray foam insulation was installed throughout. Then the basement was rebuilt including all new drywall, four new rooms two of which are bathrooms that involved tough concrete work, removal of a gas fireplace, three new windows, all new flooring throughout, a kitchenette, and new doors. Our main floor included the removal of all flooring but the bedrooms and original baths, removing the old kitchen and relocating plumbing and electrics for our new kitchen, new flooring throughout, walling off a walkthrough to the dining room to make the old kitchen a cozy den with a pocket door.. New LED pot lights were installed throughout the renovated spaces. Work that represents the thoroughness and skill of Westmount doing the entire job well was the reinforcing and stabilizing of our stairs and the time invested scribing the baseboards to meet the sometimes uneven concrete floors of our vintage bungalow! The attention to detail, the finishing touches, the thoughtful extra work put in are so plentiful that it’s hard to recount them. Everyone involved, Collin, Kyle and his team (Shane and Trevor), Josh and Roland, our plumbers and electricians, the drywall finisher, the painters…everyone we would be more than happy to have back for any future projects on our home. The job couldn’t have been done better and we couldn’t love the end results more.

For anyone reading my review, you'll be able to see that I'm a real person with a strong online presence. You are welcome to follow up with me on my amazing experience with Westmount Craftsmen, which I will detail below. Westmount Craftsmen, led by Collin Beaumont, just completed a living room and bathroom renovation for me and exceeded every expectation I had. After collecting quotes from four different renovation companies in town, I went with Westmount Craftsmen because of the quick turnaround time and affordable budget. I have never worked with a home contractor who actually finished the job the day they told me they would. In fact, Collin and Westmount Craftsmen actually finished one week before the deadline. They extended their preferred contractor rates to me on premium materials, and went above and beyond to make me happy. I have already hired them for additional work at my home, and at my rental property. I will never work with another renovation company again. As I mentioned above, I am happy to give a reference for Westmount Craftsmen as a very satisfied customer.

Just want to give buyers a head up about getting quotes. I wanted both my bathrooms done for my rental property. They came in gave me quote of 25,000 for two washrooms and only one had a shower. Called up a company I used prior that did amazing on another property of mine they came in at 15,500. Buyers be ware. They seem to over charge.

Don't be fooled by the fancy trucks! We recently had our bathroom completely gutted and renovated by Westmount Craftsmen. We chose them based on their great reviews and Steve seeming knowledgeable and professional when he quoted the job. We were told the Reno would take 2-3 weeks, plus a few days extra for the custom shower glass we wanted. They were off to a great start, the demo was done within a day. During the drywall phase things started to slow down and we realized that the crew assigned to our job was pretty inexperienced and spent more time fixing mistakes, than getting ahead.|There appeared to be a general lack of guidance. After the tiling had been completed, we noticed chipped tiles, crooked tiles, and a shower base with a squeek...Steve promptly had them re-build the whole thing and handled it well, although we believe that this was a mistake that just should not have happened when you hire a professional contractor. It took another 3 times to finally fix all the issues with the crooked tiles, and Collin, called my husband "picky". We have waited 20 years for this Reno, and we spent over 35000 dollars, so yes, we wanted things done right. (Their electrical and plumbing sub-contractors were outstanding) We found that the Westmount workers were mostly working unsupervised and Steve stopped in only occasionally, usually when there were things to be fixed. Even when the final coats of paint were being applied, they were still fixing drywall faux-pas. They use a lot of caulking and filler, instead of precision. In the end, we have learned a lot about choosing a contractor, what questions to ask, and what to get in writing. The job ended up taking a full 6 weeks, with another weeks' wait for the glass. Steve offered a walk-through and touch-ups, but we politely declined, knowing we could do the minor touch-ups better ourselves. Finesse and craftsmanship is not their strength. We are planning to renovate our kitchen in the future and would not choose Westmount Craftsmen again, or recommend them to anyone else looking for high quality work.

The reason we decided to use them a second time was because of their professionalism, quality, dependability and understanding. After recently purchasing a new property, my fiancée and I wanted to redo the ensuite bathroom and finish the basement bathroom. As this was our first remodeling project, we selected Westmount Craftsmen based on Google reviews. Though we called up a few companies for a quote, none were as responsive as Westmount. Collin was excellent in explaining the process and was very attentive. He always explains the pros and cons with each of your options and never pushes you to make a certain choice so you feel good knowing that you're making a well informed decision. Once everything was decided, our contractor Mike was in to start the work. Mike is extremely hard working and is an absolute professional. He was very easy and fun to work with and would always make sure that we are happy with everything he has done. The level of communication, logistics, professionalism and workmanship that Westmount Crafstmen provides is stellar. There is no other company I would recommend and can easily say that they will be the first and only company I would call going into the future. I've seen some reviews that say they're "pricey" but keep in mind that they set very healthy allowances for all your selections and by the end of everything, we came in under the quoted price by quite a bit. Not to mention, you can sleep with ease at night knowing certified, licensed professionals have done the work. Worst company in the area. Do not use. Was charged a ridiculous amount of money to investigate a leaky hot water heater. Not only did they not stop the leak (I did), they charged 3 hours for an assessment that should have taken 15 minutes at the most. Then, they have the nerve to send a quote for more work, which has no fixed cost attached. The assessment amount was not discounted from the quote. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

Westmount Craftsmen has fully renovated our 1980's bathroom... turning it into a spa like get away. Their employees were always on time, delivered a quality product and great service, never leaving a mess behind. Collin is easy to work with, accurate in his quotation and clearly wants his customers to be happy. We encountered a problem with the faucet leaking and Colling was there the same day to diagnose... turns out it was a faulty faucet that we purchased from Home Depot. Even though it wasn't a Westmount Craftsment issue he stayed at the house quite a while to figure it out and gave us guideance on how to deal with the manufacturer... and he didn't charge us for this extra call. He just wanted us to be pleased with our new bathroom. Westmount Craftsmen also painted our main floor, stairwell and upstairs hallway. It is a difficult space to paint as the room is mostly two stories and there are a lot of unusual angles and corners. His estimate was lower than anticipated, but, the quality was great, just as we have come to expect from them. We will call on Collin and Westmount Craftsmen again when we have future work to be done... their great pricing and service has generated them a return customer!

Steve and his team at Westmount Craftsmen just finished a complete kitchen reno from the floor up! Including opening up a wall to the dining room and moving a heat duct in the way of the new opening. Cannot say enough about the service and workmanship it was outstanding!! Site was cleaned daily, they were on time and right on budget we are over the moon happy with our new kitchen! They had to come back a month later to install our wall ovens and were here the next day when I called Steve to let him know they were here. Super happy! Westmount Craftsmen were recommended to us and we are super happy we went with them. Our 6 week renovation was on time and on budget. We worked with a designer and Westmount was the construction company we hired. The renovation included the kitchen and main living area, master bedroom and ensuite, new flooring and new paint. What we think sets Westmount Craftsmen apart are their employees who are reliable, great communicators, pleasant, knowledgeable, respectful and trustworthy. Collin was our main point of contact throughout the process and Michael was the main lead on the project and at the house most of the time. Michael was an amazing lead, was organized, easy to have a conversation with, knowledgeable, accomodating and reliable and a really nice person to top it off! I personally have worked on a number of renovation projects (commercial) and there are always issues that show up. To me, the sign of a great company is how they handle the issues and deal with them right away to your satisfaction. We had very few (and I mean very few) small issues and they were dealt with right away and made right. Would highly recommend!

Job: Windows installation in the basement; Jan 2018. Steve and his team from Westmount Craftsmen were incredible! To begin with, Steve came in to do a quote to replace my basement windows. He was very professional, personable and most importantly provided a very competitive price for the work involved. His team was absolutely great. They were timely, efficient, nice and clean. Within two days my nightmare windows were replaced. The gentleman who did the final step (seal from the outside) was particularly nice about having to crawl underneath my porch! I recently contracted Westmount Craftsman to complete a bathroom in my basement and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. The entire team, including Sefa, Blake, Nathan and Collin, as well as the trades that worked on the plumbing, electrical and tile installation were great to deal with. I could always count on Sefa and Blake showing up on time with smiles on their faces and they made sure things were cleaned up before leaving each day. The attention to detail was so impressive and I really valued their advice on things like the sight line of the shower tile and going with a white paint for the built in shelving unit which I originally wanted the same as the wall colour but white was definitely the right choice! As with any project, there were a couple touch ups that I needed to have Sefa back for but he always came with that incredibly positive attitude. I would not hesitate to have the team from Westmount back to do future renovation projects!
