Amazing attention to detail and always exceed expectations
Jon and his team were a please to do business with. Responsive and reliable. High quality work. Loving our new driveway!
We had a great experience working with Jon and the Art of Concrete. We have the patio we were hoping for and had it done on time and within budget.
Very professional, attentive and helpful, (thanks for the help John!)
The Art of Concrete refinished the floor in my hair salon and I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out. Jon answered all of my questions at all hours of the day and night and ensured I had exactly what I wanted before they finished the job. I would recommend the this company to anyone! Very professional, efficient, and flexible.
Jon and his staff were a pleasure to work with . The walkways turned out great . Mother Nature threw some curves but Jon’s knowledge and skill of the product and process showed through. Thanks again for the great work.
I rented concrete stamps from Jon and he was very helpful and accomodating for my needs. His expertise was invaluable for me to achieve good results on my first diy concrete stamp project. Very satisfied!
Jon is very personable and easy to work with. His work is outstanding!
Great guy to deal with on stamp rentals, professional and takes care of there things in order for us to provide quality work for our customers, Highly recommend
The Art of Concrete lacks total professionalism!! A representative came to our home and provided us with an estimate to resurface a concrete front porch. We agreed to the price and returned the signed estimate back to the Art of Concrete. In the email, we inquired as to what was their preferred method of payment for the $100 deposit. No response. Wanting to get the job started as soon as possible, we contacted them one more time. The Art of Concrete response was “they would not be doing our project”. We were confused as to if this meant they would not be doing our project now, but rather at a later date. We asked for clarification and was told they would “never” do our job. No explanation as why, was provided. Art of Concrete, here are a few pointers you should take note of when dealing with a potential new customer. First, if you don’t want to do the job, then don’t send a representative out to provide an estimate. Just say “no”, right off the bat. Don’t waste your time and our time with a sham like this. Second, be open with your communications. If you changed your mind and did not want to do the job, for whatever reason, then please tell us and don’t leave us hanging. Hoping we would just forget about it and go away is no way to treat a customer. And finally, have the common decency to tell why you don’t want to do the job. Just do not provide any sort of explanation. That’s just plain rude! I hope you stop and think how you would feel if someone treated you as you treated us. We entered this transaction in good faith. It is too bad you couldn’t do the same in return. To say we are annoyed and frustrated is an understatement. Art of Concrete you need to learn how to treat your customers. Maybe business is booming for you, and you can pick and choose your jobs, but charging over $3000 to resurface a small front porch is nothing to sneeze at. Remember, word of mouth is the best advertisement. I will be telling all my friends and neighbours to stay away from the Art of Concrete. I felt an obligation to write this review to warn others of your unprofessional and untrustworthy actions.
First appointment was cancelled with Covid as an excuse, despite the outdoor nature of the project. When Jon came to see the job he was positive and enthusiastic. Told me a quote would be on the way and work could start in the fall. Two weeks go by, no quote, contact Jon, no response. Contact the office and get a sorry your job is not in the scope of our work! They wasted my time , don't let them waste yours.
Jon was very friendly and had great ideas for our driveway. We didn't have the budget for a full concrete driveway so he designed a wide concrete path as a border and managed all the subcontracting to get asphalt laid as the main driveway. We love how it turned out! Great experience working with Jon.
Jon, is down to earth easy to deal with owner who takes pride in his work.
Amazing job Jon. Thanks for the driveway :)
I rented stamps to do my own stamped concrete project. Jon dropped them off and picked them up. He gave me some important pointers that I did not come across on YouTube, and they proved invaluable. Happy with the results. The most impressive part is there was some complications on my end with the booking and the deposit and Jon was very helpful and reasonable through it all. Good customer service and good experience all around.
While debating what to do with our unseemly porch we came across The Art of Concrete ad. One email was all it took to get the things started, and in no time it was done. Not only were our expectations met, they were exceeded! Thank you Jon and The Art of Concrete, Jovanovs
We had Jon redo our front porch and walkway about 4 years ago. He seemed very personable and confident about the job. We were told a date the work would start and the date came and went and we heard nothing from him. After several calls we were put off almost another 5 weeks. They finally came and did the job. We were initially pleased but after a year the surface was spalling and peeling and one section was really bad. It took a long time to connect but to his credit Jon did offer to come and replace that piece. Unfortunately the front porch and walkway has continued to deteriorate and now looks terrible with cracks and flaking, peeling and chipping. We have just contracted another company to completely redo it. We were told the concrete was poor quality and a bad install. Choose this company at your own risk. We feel we wasted over $5000.
Though John wasn’t able to help me directly he provided me contacts to help with my projects at home.
I would not recommend dealing with this company to anyone. Simply put, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in dealing with any business in my life. My wife and I ordered a number of pieces of concrete furniture from Jon and provided him with a significant deposit (down payment) on the furniture in April of last year. These items were supposed to have been completed and delivered to us in approximately 4-6 weeks. After many deadlines for delivery of these items had passed, the furniture has still never been delivered to us. When we had initially tried to contact him about the delays, he became elusive, difficult to reach, and gave us a number of excuses as to why the items had been delayed. In September of this year, after giving Jon many extensions and opportunities to make things right and deliver the items that he had promised us, we were forced to let him know that we were no longer interested in them and let him know that we would like our deposit returned to us in full. Since then, he has failed to respond to all of our attempts to reach him by phone and through email, and has yet to provide us with the refund that we have asked for. Unfortunately, at this point we are not optimistic that he will provide us with our money back and can only conclude that he has intentionally misled us and has taken our deposit from us with no intention of returning it to us in good faith.
We loved everything about our experience with Art of Concrete. We hired Art of Concrete to replace our old front steps with new concrete stairs and place a border around our garden. It couldn't have turned out more beautiful. Jon did an amazing job and the completed project was beyond our expectations. Jon offers exceptional customer service and he takes a lot of pride in his work. Jon really listens to his customers and goes above and beyond to make sure the outcome is excellent. Thank you, Jon, for making the front of our home so beautiful.
I contacted Jon after a very bad contractor painted the front step of a property I was preparing to list. The situation was so bad that nobody wanted to help us, it was a very tough job to do and required a lot of work. Jon answered my message asking for help and he was with us along the way, suggesting products and techniques. My colleague and I ended up removing the paint but it was Jon who saved the day and painted this stamped concrete step in the right way. We could have saved so much time and money if we just contacted him from the begining. Thank you Jon!
I contacted Jon to create custom concrete diamond shaped ring holders for my clients in the fine jewellery industry. He made them just like the original image I sent while adding his own creative touches. Each one is unique. The Art of Concrete was a pleasure to work with.
We had a previous contractor to complete our stamped driveway who later cancelled last minute and returned our deposit. He recommended Jon whom I contacted immediately. We were fortunate that Jon could make the time within his schedule. Jon was extremely attentive to our situation and needs. We had a large driveway with front entrance and a pathway to the back which included another patio. I had asked for some special attention to water troughs and downspouts into piping under the new walkway. All of this was taken care of while I had to be away, out of town. Jon took care of everything as I requested. Communicating with me with photos and live videos as he progressed. In the end I couldn't be happier. I did not know Jon and only relied on the recommendation of another contractor who baled on me. It's is only when I find I can trust a contractor in their integrity and skill does the relationship work out. With Jon, from day one he accomplished this with me. Thank you Jon!
Completely lacking in communication and dependability.
Jon & his crew recently re-did our front porch and connected sidewalk. Our house was built in the 1940's and we wanted to do something that would refresh the look of the house while still preserving its classic feel. Jon hit those objectives perfectly! We landed on increasing the length and width of the stairs to open up the porch and give a more modern feel, but stuck with brushed concrete to keep a classic look at the same time. Jon also did a beautiful job of shaping the stairs to provide a unique and custom appearance. We couldn't be happier with the end-result! In addition to doing beautiful work, Jon's team was quick, efficient, and professional. We would definitely recommend The Art of Concrete.
We love our new sidewalk and front stairs that Jon put in. We have a slope at the side of the house going to the backyard and Jon created beautiful big stairs. He is super easy going and friendly, I would totally recommend.
As a concrete supplier for The Art of Concrete, Jon is easy to deal with and pays his bills promptly.
Terrible workmanship stay away!! I have seen people first attempts better then the quality of his work. Do not use him!
I had been searching/getting quotes for concrete driveway for 2 years when I found The Art of Concrete in 2019.Andre Lopes was very upfront with the cost and timeline with a tentative schedule for Sep. 19 or else Spring 20.He also correctly advised not to do my new flower bed layout till the driveway was done.Thankfully he overdelivered by completing in Aug 2019 (imagine spring 20 with covid) and the beautiful (see photo) exposed driveway complements and enhances my flower bed.I am very happy with their work and would highly recommend their service.
The service we received from John was exceptional. I can't comment on the quality of his work, as we only rented concrete stamps, but I have no doubt he is dedicated and committed to his costumers. John took his time and spoke with me over the phone, he was very informative and answered all of our questions. He went out of his way to meet me off the 401 for pick up and drop off of the stamps(we were 2.5 hours away). John also offered to speak with our contractor if they had any questions. Thank you John for your time and for going the extra mile, it was greatly appreciated.
We had our front steps and walkway put in to align with our existing driveway. Jon provided great customer service, very responsive and did follow up calls to ensure the concrete was settling fine with the hot weather we had following the installation. Quality of work was great as well.
While Jon is a personable, nice guy.. his product is terrible. I spent over $2000 4 years ago and just paid twice that again to replace it.The Stamped Concrete may look great but it doesn't last ,and sadly neither does Jon''s customer service.I rarely do a poor review ,as I also am in business, but I cannot recommend this company.
Jon is a professional, polite, reliable and easy to talk to from the first time of calling him until he had finished doing the job. I consider ourselves fortunate to have chosen him to do the job of sealing our driveway. I strongly recommend him.
A very positive experience with the Art of Concrete. Initial meetings at the house with our very specific details led to a great final product of exactly what we wanted. Jon was easy to work with, and paid attention to detail.
THE ART OF CONCRETE did a fantastic and professional job adding a RV pad and new driveway for my boat. It really adds to the beautification of our home getting rid of the ugly dirt and gravel. Thanks Larry looks great.
I spoke with John today, he was extremely helpful on giving me the insight and advise I needed for my home project free of charge. He knew he wasn't gonna be able to do the job but he took the time to help me figure out the cheapest most efficient way to get the job done. I would recommend this company to anyone, I would be happy to work with John and his team any day on any of my future projects. Thank you so much for your help John! KRG
Jon has been super easy to work with. He is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable! He was also very accommodating with his stamp rentals. Looking forward to future dealings!
John was very professional and easy to work with. We had our stamped concrete walkway resealed and due to the fact that it is 24 years old and very worn it didn’t withstand the first sealing. Upon notifying him of this he came back a second time to put another coat on. We are very pleased and would recommend use his services again.
If you want concrete work done well and done right, the Art of Concrete should be your choice. We received a written quote detailing work to be done along with a payment schedule. We therefore knew what work was to be done each day. They did the work when they said they would and everything was done on time. No short cuts were taken; they even ended up doing some extra cement repair work for us, no charge. Jon and his staff are very pleasant, well mannered and out to please the customer. We were very impressed and would highly recommend them. Annette & Doug Kuhn
Although Jon is personable, and got the job done in a short time the quality of the job fell short of Art. From far away the job looks beautiful however at close inspection it lacks quality. It looks like a first timer did the edging so my artful project leaves much to be desired. I have let Jon know my disappointment. City sidewalks have neater edging. So now what do I do
Very good service, quality stamps and they accommodate to your schedule. Always very helpful and they are always ready to answer the phone in case you need anything. If you are looking to rent concrete stamps, they are the place to go.
