Excellent quality, professionalism and warranty program. The best in the region for a renovation hands down. We were involved in a full kitchen/main floor reno, master bathroom and upstairs reno. Jen (our designer) and Nathan (the lead carpenter) were incredibly professional and responsive to every need. Highly reliable and trustworthy. Thank you for allowing us to fall in love with out home all over again :)

Initial meeting with their architect was great but in the end I was not able to work with them for our house renovation project. The most basic cost estimate for the work we wanted done was essentially a random number thrown in the air, and well beyond what was sensible for the house. They were not willing to make any kind of alternate proposal about what they could or could not do to keep the project within a smaller budget. Overall, disappointed in the experience for a place that seems to be so great on the outside.

Had my basement renovated by Pioneer Craftsmen in 2013, plus new windows in the whole house. I really loved working with them. Top notch renovators who don't cut corners and do great work. The best thing was the open communication with them. They were able to pivot on projects if half-way through, I wanted some changes or additions to the project. Always super friendly. The final result was fantastic. I recently moved and will be doing another renovation project and will be calling Pioneer Craftsmen again for sure.

When we first started thinking about our whole house reno, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We had never done a reno before and we didn’t know what exactly we wanted out of it except that the house we had lived in and loved for more than a decade was no longer suitable for our university age children and us. As everyone suggests, we started the process by contacting three reputable contractors in KW. The decision was easy after that. One contractor had a grand vision for our reno that didn’t address our real needs, and another listened to our concerns but provided no ideas of his own as to how to address them. In contrast, Paul’s keen attentiveness and patience in listening to our multiple concerns combined with his creative ideas about how to resolve some of our space issues convinced us to go with Pioneer. By actively listening to us and suggesting neat possibilities, Paul helped us to distill what changes we really needed to have as opposed to the “nice to haves”. Amazingly, Paul worked with us for a few months before we all agreed on a plan that perfectly met our needs and fit with our budget. Plus, we got quite a few “nice to haves”! Open, frequent and helpful communication with the entire team at Pioneer was crucial, especially since we lived in our home during the reno and especially as the pandemic hit right in the middle of the work. Everyone from the entire Pioneer team was respectful of our need to treat our home like our sanctuary and to ensure our health and safety while making sure the job proceeded as quickly as possible. Any time that issues or concerns arose, we discussed things with them and went back and forth, if needed, until everyone was satisfied. It’s been a year now since our renovation was completed. Despite all four of us adults working remotely from home because of the pandemic, we all love being in our beautiful, bright and revitalized space. We are so grateful to Paul, Grant, Jen, Brian and all the apprentices for their care and consideration of our whole house reno. In retrospect, the easiest and best decision that we made was to go with Pioneer Craftsmen.

Years ago they did a family room renovation which was really quite well done. This past year we requested a quote for our basement - completely taking it back to the studs, insulation, moving walls and then putting it all together again. They did contact us and asked lots of questions and then said they'd get the design team in touch with us. Never heard a word back. Guess business is too good? Even if that was the case, a return call to say they didn't have time would have been good business etiquette. Needless to say we won't bother calling them for quotes on any future renovations.

We recently had our kitchen and family room renovated by Pioneer and were extremely pleased with the planning, design and high level of attention to detail and quality of work that they provided throughout the process. They were able to accommodate our budget while still providing us with us with superior products. We can not say enough good things about Nathan, our lead carpenter, who tackled a number of unexpected issues without question, and Jennifer our designer, who was indispensable in helping with design, colours and finishes, eliminating all the stress of decision making. All of the support staff, suppliers and subs who worked on our project were fabulous. Each and every one is to be highly commended for their commitment to excellence in completing our renovation and we are absolutely thrilled with the finished product!

We initially contacted Pioneer Craftsmen for renovations to our home. We were very happy with the quality of the work and the professionalism of their staff. Jennifer was there with me through all stages of the renovation from concept to design to completion. We then went to Pioneer for renovations of a commercial property. Pioneer did an exceptional job transforming the building into my husband's law office. The law office is now not only functional but an attractive work space.

This was my first renovation, so I felt in over my head. That said, the team at Pioneer Craftsmen was really great at listening to my questions and concerns and modifying the design / providing solutions. In retrospect, I feel like they were advocating for me in the areas where I was lacking knowledge = there are lots of little touches that I really appreciate. Paul Meier was fantastic to work with. I am quite honestly blown away by the design of the roof, and how wonderful the space functions. In addition, Paul navigated an on-again, off-again project (due to Covid) with compassion, which I really appreciate. Sydney was generous with her time, patient with my questions and great with design suggestions. I understand Lee was the master genius behind the exceptional framing, Bryan kept it all moving ahead, and most importantly Sean oversaw all the details on site and was who I saw most often. What a great person to have as a representative of the company. Thank you all for accommodating correspondence with my partner well.

We brought Pioneer in to plan, manage and execute a renovation of our new-to-us home prior to our move, on short notice in the depths of Covid. Paul Meier and his team were phenomenal - full kitchen reno, space re-allocation, new finishes, all with some changes thrown in for good measure and helping us make good informed choices. They cleaned up after themselves all the time, and dealt with the Covid complications very well. We are delighted with the outcome, so are certain to bring them back as we need more work done.
