After going through these reviews I got in touch with this company for a ceiling that I need to replace due to plumbing issue. I requested for someone from their team to come over and give me price estimate so I can budget myself accordingly. They booked me for Friday 9am. And sent me a message at 8:33am to check if I had any covid symptoms. Great going so far. I drove for around 40 min to reach the house at 8:55am and as I am parked outside the house, at 8:58am I received a call that technician can’t make to the appointment. I still understand that sometimes life can throw circumstances at us so I was still fine with it. I requested if they could send another technician anytime soon, the answer was no. I asked if they could call me back with next availability please, lady said yes for sure and it’s been few days now that I have not heard from this company. They are so disrespectful of other person’s time and need. They should have said “no, we are busy” on the first call, that would have been more appropriate for everyone’s time. So disappointed!

Excellent service from Steve and his team. I have hired this company on several occasions to complete tasks in a corporate office. They have removed cubicles, assembled furniture, changed lights, mounted several TV's, removed TV's, painted, etc. I would 100% use them again in the future.

I contacted this company to repair my squeaky floors. A contractor came out to assess and said they would be able to fix them but that he needed to get in touch with a carpet sealer. I waited a month without a word, called to ask what the status of the job was and was told they were still looking for a good carpet sealer. That was a year ago. Haven’t heard a word since and the floors still squeak.

Mike installed our cat door today into our basement door and it looks great! I called on Monday and work was started and completed this afternoon. My daughter and her dog (half beagle/half lab) moved in with me so I needed this job done asap so my 5 month old kitten can hide when she wants too. I definitely recommend this company. Holy moley. I was calling contractors for 2 days trying to get emergency work done and everyone was booking out at least a week. Called Handyman Connection and Lynn had a guy at my door before I even got home. Josh did an amazing job and gave great advice. This company really saves our butts . Will definitely use them again. Handyman Connection was excellent to work with. Lynn was the central contact person who coordinated everything between the handyman and I. She went above and beyond to make the entire repair process simple and stress free. Mike was the handyman who actually came for the quote and completed the repair job. I was very pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of Handyman Connection: the price was fair, the handyman was very competent and a wonderful person to boot, customer service in dealing with the office was excellent and the work itself was done well and left clean. Moreover, I was impressed that they honored their guarantee when I wanted something retouched in a prompt and very satisfactory manner. I am happy to support and recommend a business like this that does things well and with integrity.

Had one of their handymen, Henry, come by to install a shower door in our ensuite. There are a small leak the following week but he came back and sealed it up right away. He did a great job and was very knowledgeable. I will certainly use Henry again for any more work I need to have done in the future.

I cannot say enough about this company and Paul, the gentleman who did the work for me. Not only were they incredibly prompt in coming here to provide the estimate, Paul was able to start, and finish the job within days. They knew I had a very short time frame to get the work done, and they made it happen. From plaster and sanding, to painting, and completing the indoor finishing of where I had a window installed where there had been a door. Being in an older home, Paul was able to use the trim that had been around the door to trim the new window, so it matches the other trim in the room. All at an extremely reasonable price. To Lynn, and Paul, you are both fabulous! I highly recommend Handyman Connection!!

The estimate quoted for the materials was initially higher, and I would have paid it as quoted. But John is an honest man and told me the cost was cheaper than the estimate. So I am very pleased. The gentleman representing Handyman Connection was 1 hour late for the consult. He promised a quote within 24 hours. I had to phone the company and I the manager provided me with a verbal rather than written quote. I booked the work and received confirmation from the Handyman Connection 2 hours before the work was scheduled The employee did not show up I received neither a follow-up phone call or email. I phoned Handyman to complain and the manager's response was "Oh"... A week later I received a survey from the owner of Handyman Connection. Needless to say, I gave them a poor rating and explained my reasons why. No one from Handyman Connection followed up. I am a small business owner with an exceptional team of staff who provide exceptional customer service. Clearly Handyman Connection does not know what customer service is or how to provide it.

If talking for free and wasting your time is enjoyable then please apply. Over the last few weeks I've been trying to start my own network of business in co-operation with handyman connection. The office is incompetent when it comes to trades and have zero experience, false contract security and Promise of work with no deliverence , they take a huge cut off what you SHOULD be making. My advice if your a handy person. Post your own ads and save your self the trouble don't waste you're time Ps. Any job quote you do for them is free on your own time.

Final product was great but I am frustrated I used a middleman instead of connecting directly with a contractor. In the weeks leading up to the work day I went back and forth with the contact at Handyman connection 2-3 times trying to confirm what the craftsman needed us to provide and was not given correct information. I was also never put in contact with the craftsperson themselves despite making that request. I was told to provide some basic elements and the craftsperson would provide the rest. This was not the case at all and resulted in a lot of frustration and significant delay. These communication issues as well as the work day itself being pushed back a full week due to an error on Handyman Connection's part made the whole experience feel very unprofessional. In the end the craftsman did a good job but Handyman Connection's role in the transaction resulted in confusion, frustration and wasted time. I would suggest booking directly with a contractor instead of using this service.

Filled out a their web form to find an electrician for a reno I was planning. Got a call within a few days booking a site visit with the electrician on the following Monday (which I thought was odd, since it was a holiday (Family day)). No matter, was home at the appointed time, but the contractor did not show up. I Followed up with the Handyman connection the following day, and initially left a VM, and placed a second call later the same day (Feb 20, 2018). My second call was answered and I was told there was a problem with way the appointment was booked, as the wrong person was scheduled. I asked when they would reschedule and was told that they were meeting with the electrician that day, and would be in touch shortly. That was 4 weeks ago. No follow up whatsoever. It's fine to refuse work, but it's unfair to leave people hanging. Their lack of follow through and follow up will prevent me from using them in the future.

We have used them several times over the years for minor repairs and interior painting. Workmanship has generally been OK. But they recently completed a bathroom renovation for us and workmanship was very shoddy. The contractor was sloppy and made MANY amateurish mistakes. While he did return, some of his "repairs" only made things worse.

I had a single Ethernet cable run from my main floor to my basement. Took over the initial estimate and then they left the hole in my ceiling that looks terrible. This is the level of job done you get from these guys. Absolutely horrible and would never use them again
