Peter did the drywall in our upstairs last year. Some of it refinishing of existing drywall and some rooms were a total replacement. He also redid the ceilings; some rooms just a skim coat and others required a new drywall installation. The point is this: Peter was able to do it all and do it very well. For any future project, as I did for the second one, I won't be calling for a few quotes; I will only call Peter.

I had Peter come out and quote $2000 for something that took him 13 man hours to complete. While I don't begrudge anyone making a decent living (even if it is $153 per hour), I do have a certain expectation at that wage that the job will be done properly and the clean up will be second to none. As the photos clearly show, Peter was asking for payment and this is the condition of the job site as he left it. Although I paid him in full, I will never use or recommend Peter or Custom Drywall EVER again.

I hired Peter to do a large and complicated job which involved almost complete drywalling of a 94 year old red-brick 2&1/2 storey home plus a 350 square foot addition. There was some blending of old plaster with new drywall where I left some plaster walls in place, some plaster repair, and very much finicky taping around exposed collar ties and beams. Peter was not the cheapest quote (though he was only slightly more than the others) but I chose him because of his extensive experience and the fact that he views his trade not just as a job but as an art. He did not disappoint. The job is beautiful and I couldn't be happier.. There was prep work that I had intended to do that I couldn't get to in time - some bulkheads and miscellaneous framing. He discussed these things with me and he completed the tasks for me for reasonable extra charge as they were not included in the original quote. All-in-all I am extremely happy with his work and the price I paid him. I would hire him again.

Peter hung and finished all of the drywall for our third floor renovation. The space contains a stairwell, knee walls and dormers so it was a complicated job full of weird angles and corners. Peter did a great job with the drywall, all of the walls look perfectly flat and the corners look straight. I'm very happy with the end result. Peter was also great to work with; he arrived on time, worked hard and got the job done on schedule. He even made sure to protect the existing hardwood floors while moving materials up multiple sets of stairs. Overall a great experience.
