Jesse from Service Experts came out and performed routine AC maintenance on our AC unit. In addition to scheduled maintenance, the system stopped cooling properly a short time ago, and Jesse was able to diagnose the issue almost immediately: a busted capacitor. He had the replacement part in the van and got the system back up and running quickly. Jesse also cleaned both the outdoor unit and the indoor condensate pump during his routine maintenance checks. Jesse was patient with my many questions and provided clear answers. I will definitely continue using Service Experts for future HVAC needs.

Dan Mitchell has been servicing our Lennox air conditioner and furnace for the past several years, and he conducted annual maintenance on the ac unit earlier this week. My wife and I have come to trust Dan to protect both our heating and cooling equipment and our best interests. He is a master of the technical details of the equipment, and very experienced and practical in his approach to maintenance (e.g., last year, he saved me many hundreds of dollars by assisting me to level the air conditioning unit without having to disconnect it). He has never tried to sell us anything we do not need. He remembers us and our preferences for service scheduling. Dan's approach to customer care is the primary reason we continue to deal with Service Experts.

I have used Service Experts 3 times recently & I have been very satisfied on each occasion. Today Chris installed a new fan in my gas fireplace. He explained how the flame could be turned down for cost saving. & he reprogrammed the thermostat for me. He also did routine maintenance on my tankless water heater which also supplies hot water for the baseboard radiators. He took the time to demonstrate how to clean the “fins” on the rads to improve heat efficiency. I have had 2 other technicians from Service Experts, Dan & Rob in the recent past & they were equally knowledgeable & helpful. I highly recommend Service Experts!!

Since moving to our new home in Kingston in 2016, we've had Dan Chambers from Service Experts come service our furnace, gas fireplace, HRV, and most recently our air conditioner. Dan was very friendly and professional. He let me tag along to watch everything he was doing and answered all of my 'dumb' questions with patience. He was super informative/helpful in giving me tips on how to best set things up in terms of maintenance and general use of the equipment. Very happy with his service and experience! The only negative about Service Experts Kingston is that they're very busy. So depending on the time of year, they can only book you 4+ weeks away.

Terry Hamlyn is the man! He arrived and got straight to business. He identified the root of the problem instead of just fixing the part which had broken. I have used other companies in the area before who incorrectly programmed my fan speed which caused my AC unit to fail. Terry worked quickly and went above and beyond by installing additional cost saving measures. He also advised on the recommended settings for my AC to get the best results. Dan did a thorough assessment of my older furnace and provided me with some options. Once I decided on replacing the furnace, Brendan took measurements and also took his time answering all my questions (including follow-up questions by phone!). I feel happy with the Lennox unit I purchased. A few days later, Nate and Spencer came to install the furnace. They arrived on time, were very professional and worked for hours to install the new furnace. I highly recommend Service Experts, who installed my AC and furnace in late August. The "team" was courteous and friendly, knowledgeable, skillful, and helpful. My concerns were addressed and they showed me what I needed to know and do. They had good communication and organization with each other, as well, and kept on schedule. The technician, Dan (if I recall his name correctly), arrived promptly. He was courteous. He looked at every aspect of the problem, offered causes, resolutions, and information, and left the decision to me. That is, he wasn't pushy. The Residential Sales Consultant, Toby, impressed me with his confidence, know-how, and understanding. He explained, thoroughly, the ins and outs of the HVAC, and everything else of which I needed to be aware. He was friendly and so helpful. Service technicians, Eric and Jesse (hope I have their names right), were friendly, too. They did a great, non-stop job! Also, they showed me how everything worked... and all is working great! I believe that Service Experts is an honest and reliable company with skilled workers. They truly know their field. With that said, they have a good "bedside manner" and sense of humour, too! I didn't give five stars because nothing is perfect, LOL, but four stars say a lot. :)

We had our yearly service for our gas fireplace and furnace today, January 26, 2016. Terry Hamlyn was our technician. He discovered there was a problem with our humidifier. He figured out what was wrong and fixed it. He also gave us some good info on what type of filters to use in our furnace to improve the efficiency. Our old water heater stopped working. Called Monday, Service Experts had a replacement in stock. Salesperson Darren came to the house a couple of hours after our call. Originally scheduled installation on Wednesday but received a call back saying they could move up installation to Tuesday. Nate and Spencer arrived on time. They were courteous and professional. Buyers beware, if their installers fail to seal the AC system properly - leading to refrigerant leaks, increasing your utility costs while your system performance degrades, my experience suggests they will not cover the full cost of repairs, and refrigerant is quite expensive - but I did learn that the new synthetic stuff is safe when it leaks in your home so there's that. I paid on the higher end for a better system - hoping that implied a reliable system / quality install - just a couple years ago yet I found myself on the hook to fix problems from the install. They did cover some of the costs, (leak search), but the original call out and refrigerant related costs still set me back an additional ~500 dollars from an install less than 2 years prior - and a few weeks of discomfort leading up to the call-out. Thanks Svc Experts for quasi standing behind your work :/

Top notch service from the Service Experts. We moved into our new home in December, knowing it didn't have central air, and knowing this is a must for us. The first company we decided to call was the Service Experts (partly because of all of the amazing Google reviews, not going to lie) Brendan Rake came over to give us a quote on an air conditioner. He was very honest in quoting which level of air conditioner we needed, the pricing and knowledgeable of the brand. We had called a few other companies to get more quotes, but none of them were as appealing as the quote Brendan had given us so we decided to go with the Service Experts. I made appointment for installation, and to my surprise, they called me back the following day and were able to get me in five days sooner than the scheduled install appointment, which was much appreciated. Eric and Geoff came to do the install and they were wonderful. Both came in with positive attitudes and were very respectful. While they were installing the air conditioner, Eric informed me that we had a crack in our heat exchanger in our furnace, which is not good at all. We knew it was coming though, as the furnace was close to the end of it's life expectancy. Brendan called me later that afternoon to talk about options for a furnace. He spoke to his boss and was able to get us a combination deal which included the air conditioner that we had just purchased and the furnace for a very good price. My husband and I were very pleased with this and wanted to proceed. Brendan came over to give me the contract to sign and left it with me until my husband got home from work to sign it, then he came back to pick it up at 7:00pm that night. I received a phone call the following morning saying that the furnace would be installed that very day. Once again, Eric and Geoff did the install and they did an amazing job. All that to say, trust the reviews. The staff at Service Experts are wonderful and we highly recommend them.

We want to commend Service Experts on a job well done. From Darren's explanation of the system to be installed and the Costco process, to Al and his crew on installation day, we are more than pleased with our new furnace and air conditioner. This job was not an easy one as our furnace is located in a four foot high crawl space. The crew were friendly, polite, respectful and knowledgeable. After they left you would hardly know they had been in the house, except for the new thermostat on the wall. We had anticipated a huge mess in the house and I was ready to lay drop sheets, etc., but they looked after all of this. A very light vacuum in the traffic area after they left was all that was required. We received by email the day after installation a copy of the warranty and information about the government rebate. I had a couple of questions so I called the office and spoke to Lisa who had immediate answers and was friendly and accommodating. We are very impressed and we highly recommend!

We called Service Experts as part of three quotes for a complete furnace and AC replacement due to a broken AC unit which was not worth fixing. The sales person was amazing and not pushy. He laid out our options and price levels. The price was the best and the service matched (which doesn't usually happen with most things lol). I really like the follow up calls and email appointment confirmations. I would give them 6 stars if I could!

They were well-prepared for the job, and the weather, and they adapted to the challenges of a small workspace, quirks of an old home, and a very old water heater (heavy with sediment, ~40 years in the making). They took the time to assess their best course of action and proceeded to accomplish every step with care and attention to detail- the old heater stayed intact and the new one was installed with no leaks or damage- I'm very pleased with the result. Update 26 July 2019. During scheduled air conditioner maintenance, the technician (Jesse Handy) discovered a faulty capacitor, explained the problem and it's impact on system efficiency, and quickly replaced the faulty part. He also discovered a potential coolant leak. Within two hours, a second technician (Dan Mitchell) further investigated and resolved the problem. Great technicians. Great service. This a brief review to state that Service Experts Kingston responded immediately and impressively at the end of the day to a fault with my home air conditioner. Within 20 minutes of arriving, the technician (Dan Chambers) diagnosed the problem as a faulty connector and replaced the part. Throughout, he was courteous and very informative, responding to general and specific questions about my air conditioning system. Furthermore, he provided helpful hints on how to improve system performance and longevity. I have been very satisfied with Service Experts Kingston ever since the company installed my furnace and air conditioner in 2010. I highly recommend Service Experts and the maintenance program.

I had to rent a furnace following a basement flood in january. I have since tried to start my A/c and it was not working. I called for service and the technician was rude, telling me I hadn't bought the a/c coverage package, without knowing my story. I requested assistance Thursday evening and it is now Monday 7 pm with no show. I called twice today and the same girl told me I was on the list. Tried to speak to a manager and was just put on hold, no response. This is terrible service, once you sign up you are treated poorly and no service.

Our experience with Service Experts was exceptional. Of course something happens to our furnace on the only couple of days this year dipped below -25. Called a couple of companies with 24hr emergency services and both companies didn’t have anyone available to come to our house. Started to stress! Next Company was Service experts. She made it clear what it would cost me for him to come after hrs answered all my questions before service man (Terry) called within half hour. Hi. My Ac stoped working last week, and i am not a tech guy so panicked a bit and had 2 very hot days inside the house. I called one of the major service companies in Kingston and they sent in a guy ... after 5 min of checking the furnace and the backyard fan he told me that the circuit board and a component in the backyard fan both are dead. $850 was the estimate and 2 days to have the items delivered in Kingston. Just to get a second opinion i called Service Experts Kingston and Dan Mitchell came the same day and checked everything for 1 hour. then he said the circuit board is fine, and the component in the backyard fan is optional so no need to change it (just removed it). Dan only changed the contactor in the back yard and then the AC works just fine. Thanks Dan! You saved me more than $500 and the AC worked the same day!

Sunday morning, 5 above, and no heat during the rainiest, dampest weeks on record. Called Service Experts and spoke with a very polite and helpful call taker who told me to expect a call from a technician asap. Within 15 minutes I received a call from Dan Mitchell who has serviced my furnace before as well as my AC and gas fireplace. I have always found Dan to be very personal, thorough, polite, professional, with astounding product knowledge. He recognized my name and address right off so he knew what furnace unit he was dealing with. I explained how the furnace was cycling but not igniting. Dan asked some straightforward questions and started working backwards with me for a possible reason. Due to the significant rainfall (1st week of May 2017) Dan first asked if the exhaust and intake vents outside the house were unobstructed. They were. Next, following his logical thinking that the excessive rain may have something to do with the situation, he asked if the plastic drain hose from the furnace to the sump basin was clear. I told him I had removed the lid to better view how well the pump was working removing the water and that I had set the hose up and to the side. This is where exceptional 1) product knowledge 2) diagnostic expertise, and 3) customer service come into play. Dan explained that I had likely plugged the line with water from the normal operation of the furnace and told me to put the hose back in place. Sure enough a quantity of water ran from the hose! Dan then asked me to turn the furnace back on at the main switch and see what happens. Yep, the furnace cycled, fired up, and heat soon followed! Outstanding! Now that is "customer first" service! Thank you Service Experts for ensuring your customers continue to use your business and will recommend you to others ... and in no small part it's because you have interested people like Dan Mitchell taking care of your customers!

I have used Service Experts the last two times I've done a furnace and air conditioner tune up and I have been happy with the service on both occasions. I have used other companies in the past 10 years and Service Experts is probably the first company that I have used more than once. The first time was with Dan (older gentleman with 30+ years of experience!) and this time with Jesse H. Both were there for about 2 hours which is longer than other companies and seemed to be very thorough in their process. They were both very patient in answering all my questions and explaining the process. Also in providing little tips to improve performance tailored to my needs. They also both did not try to pressure me into their maintenance plans. Service Experts are also good about providing promotions of their services so keep an eye out for them! It was further noted that both technicians did not try to sell any unnecessary expensive repairs despite my systems being quite old. It was also pretty fast to book an appointment and they offer times that worked for my schedule (after work hours). I also noticed this year that Jesse was diligent in wearing his mask and also wearing slippers on his shoes. He also took away my old furnace filter which was very nice of him!

Horrible service. Called them at approximately 5 pm as per their web page. Told me a service rep would be in touch the next day. After not hearing anything at 1 pm the following day, called again and was told was in the list but could not offer a time when tech would come only repeated that he would call when he was on the way. Called them again at 4 pm. Told them not to bother. 20 minutes later tech calls and said he would be here in an hour told me he didn’t get the requisition. Told him not to bother. 24 hours later. Horrible. Tell the truth if you can’t make the call say so.

The technician told us to buy a maintenance plan to get the furnace tuned when he was here to look at a different issue. He opened the furnace on Thursday and said there is too much CO near the furnace. He cut opened the ducting and then said we need a new heat exchanger and then red tagged and shut down the furnace. Told us heat exchanger would be here on Monday/Tuesday. It is Tuesday today and we have no update from customer service. Now they are saying it may come later this week but not guaranteed. We have a kid at home and with temp going below freezing there is no follow up or response from customer service as to when they would be able to resolve the issue. My furnace was working perfectly fine. The technician just happened to find an issue that my CO detector in the basement didn’t even detect They left us out in the cold.

The installers for my new furnace arrived four days after I signed the contract for a new unit. Nathan, Spencer and Terry were all very efficient, polite and professional. They worked quickly so that we were without air conditioning for little more than half the day. Plastic tubing, sealing tape, valves and pumps needing replacement after sixteen years of use were all renewed as needed. They kept me well informed as they carried on with the installation. The explanation of how to use the new thermostat was very helpful. At the end of the job, they cleaned up their working area perfectly. The new Lennox unit runs much quieter than than the previous system.
