Bought 24 8ft x 8 in pine shiplap boards charged .72cents per linear ft, had 3 boards that were warped we were not allowed to check boards as they were being loaded, didn't notice until after wife paint washed(stained) individual boards in different colors and we were installing, returned 4 days later for more told them about the warped boards and unable to use them, initially they were not going to do anything and the guy at the counter was rude about it, until husband said fine I'll go elsewhere from now on...woman came out of office and said she would credit us for the 3 boards and only charge us for 7 8ft x 8 in boards...... My daughter and her husband also had same experience with warped tongue and groove they bought to do floors. The quality is poor esp compared to the mill up north where we bought cottage grade not premium which needed no sanding and was never warped and we only paid .50 cents per foot. Not overly impressed with customer service today or quality of shiplap and tongue and groove, lMy advice no matter how much you buy check all product before you leave no matter what!!!

Chisholm has the best lumber around. Even their framing lumber is incredible. We build our cabin with almost entirely Chisholm sourced wood, from sheet goods and framing to large timbers, siding, flooring and decking. Amazing products and really great service. My first stop for any lumber needs. Heck we even got firewood there.

Great selection and prices just wish they would extend their hours on weekends. They close at 12pm Saturday and aren’t open Sunday... makes it hard for anyone who works a 9-5 job weekdays to make it in. That’s the only reason I didn’t leave a 5 star review.

I own a 30 year old Confederation Log Home. This past year I experienced some water damage around the foundaiton which was covered in tongue and groove pine. Couldn't find it anywhere near Ottawa (where I live). Confederation sent me to Chisholm and I couldn't have been happier. Tyson was exceptional in helping me understand what I needed to do the repair and how much wood I needed to source. Thanks so much for the superior service.

Just moved to Belleville from the GTA and heard about Chisolm's from 2 of our contractors, so we went out there and met Ed who made us our custom mantle that is probably one of the nicest things we have ever owned. Loved picking out our mantle from a wood pile and returning to a gorgeous custom made piece just weeks later! We plan on having a few pieces made by Ed, what a super nice and incredibly talented guy! As a first time buyer of hardwood I was somewhat at a loss of exactly what I needed and how to calculate the costs, I'll admit I was a little intimidated. I had arrived with certain woods in mind and unfortunately discovered they didn't have those available in the sizes I needed and was surprised when the associate helped me out answering my questions and giving advice. After changing over to Tigerwood and Mahogany they helped me cut the wood to size (and get it so it fit in my car). Overall they made my first experience extremely easy and their expertise was very helpful. I recommend completely and will be returning for more wood on my next project!
