My wife and I had heard numerous horror stories about renovations going over budget and over time, so we were on the fence about having our own project done. Gord Turner Renovations did not let us down. They provided us with detailed planning and 3d visualizations to make sure we completely understood the scope of work. Their project management was meticulous, and their project manager (Dave) was incredibly dedicated. Their entire team always had our best interest at heart. The cost of renovations/labour per square foot is pretty standard across the industry, so what really matters is the quality you get for that square foot. We saved up a long time in order to get our dream kitchen. When we were ready to do so, we interviewed 12, (yes 12!) contractors in the city and surrounding areas. Gord Turner Renovations was the top contender from the start. We had a good feeling from the initial meeting and we really liked the idea of the project binder with all of the budget and breakdown costs listed out for us. Bring a shift worker, another appealing point was the schedule. They had everything laid out, who was going to come when, and very rarely, if at all, strayed from the plan. Throughout the process, we had a lot of questions. But never once did we feel like we were being a bother by asking or clarifying something. The whole team was amazing especially Cody, our project manager. We now have our dream kitchen and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way! I recommend these guys to anyone, a million times over.

From our first meeting with Russ, through our planning with Ben & Kyle, to the execution of the project by Cody & team, every step was thorough, thoughtful and professional. I must say that the design phase of the process was the foundation for our positive experience. The detailed plans took in to account all of our “must haves” combined with their expertise in areas where we welcomed advice regarding options. The extensive detail in the plan established a cost agreement that was bang-on and a scope of work that was VERY specific, leaving no qualms about pressing forward with the project (actually, it was on time and a little under budget in the end!). Thankfully, there were no unexpected surprises during our reno – I believe in large part due to their diligence and detail during the design phase. Their excellent communication skills were key - we felt fully informed at every step and our every question received a prompt reply. The end result exceeded our expectations and we LOVE our new kitchen and living space! Not a single sleepless night or worried thought during the entire reno. If we had to do it all over again we would not change a thing!

Last summer we had Gord Turner Renovations complete a major kitchen reno and main flooring upgrade. They were an excellent team to work with. The designer helped us create a new vision for the kitchen which would provide the ideal space for meal preparation. The more open space also maximized usable space in the adjoining dining and living areas. Next, the team provided a detailed estimate and schedule which they executed to perfection, both on time and under budget. Gord Turner provided the new cabinetry which was meticulously measured and installed by Dan, a true perfectionist. Dan was also able to perfectly match the Kitchen crown moulding to the existing living room moulding. Gord Turner’s team levelled the existing ceramic tile so the new TORLYS flooring could be easily installed on top by Nufloors. Dave the project manager was great in keeping us up to date on the schedule and when the trades were expected to show up. This really helped as we were living in the basement level for the 12 weeks that the renovations were being made. All the sub-contractors used were first class; Allied Electrical, LS Painting and more. We would definitely recommend Gord Turner for any renovation work you may be planning.

I had Gord Turner and his crew do a few renovation projects on my house over the years. Every time Gord was thorough in his contract and fair with his price. Sure makes life a lot less stressful when they show up. I recently hired a different company to do a major renovation because the timeline to get Gord and his crew in was much longer than I had wanted to wait, but, I sure wished I had! I would not only recommend Gord's company but I would also add that they are certainly worth any time you may have to wait! Big lesson learned for me.

We hired Gord Turner Renovations to completely renovate our two bedroom condo. From the first contact to the final finishing touches, all the people they brought to work on it were pleasant, professional and did high quality work. The project was extensive involving moving almost every interior wall, all new plumbing, electrical, doors, windows and lots of custom cabinetry. The design services gave us the confidence we needed to commit to the build and the project managers kept us in the loop at every step to be ready to move in by the promised date. The completed home is comfortable and beautiful... everything we hoped for! We would use Gord Turner Renovations again in a heartbeat.

I called to set up an estimate for some renovations to my new house and after explaining what I was looking for, I got told that they are too big of a company and my renovation request was to small to accomodate. For hearing nothing but good things about this company, I was displeased hearing it was not a "large enough job". That is terrible customer service and I will take my business elsewhere. I do not recommend Gord Turner Renovationa if you have a "small job".
