My elderly parents called Comfort Tech for regular furnace maintenance. The tech found a couple parts needing replacement and did so. Soon after, we noticed the furnace was having intermittent issues starting. Then it failed completely. Smelled gas every time it attempted to ignite. Fan would work, but no heat. Noticed a flashing red light which indicated a failure code. Called Comfort Tech back and spoke to a very nice lady. I explained the situation and stressed that my parents are 83 and 89 and in poor health (especially mom who has raspatory issues) and I not only feared the gas issue, they need the heat working especially at their age. The lady put me on hold so she could try and find a tech to come same-day. And I was disappointed when she came back and said they'd try by end of day, if not, it would be next day. I again firmly stressed this was not acceptable considering the furnace was producing heat before they serviced it the week before. She was understanding and said they'd try. I'm happy to report that my dad called me later in the afternoon to say they came, found the issue and fixed it indicating it was no charge as it was "they're fault". Not sure what that meant exactly. But it makes no difference. They pulled through for us. Took ownership of the problem. And did so in a very professional way. I always say that all businesses make mistakes at times. It's how they handle them that counts the most. Very impressed with Comfort Tech and how they handled this issue. We're very happy! So we decided to take the plunge and upgrade to a ductless heating/cooling system. Right from the start of the project in working with Doug to plan out our needs for this house, to having Zac's crew make it happen, the whole experience was great! Our furnace issue was not properly identified by another company, the furnace was 22 years old, but we found out later thanks to Comfort Tech not in operable shape. What I thought was a faulty smoke detector turned into the realization that we were getting carbon monoxide into the house . We made the decision to go with Comfort Tech after the company we were dealing with who patched up our furnace said they did not know how they would vent a new furnace as they needed a 2 inch pipe vented to the outside and the furnace was not located very bright by the home builder. They told us to wait to Spring when they would come back for a second look, I called Comfort Tech to get a second opinion, not only did Doug serve our needs to replace our furnace, his can do attitude resulted in a very professional installation. Their team had no issue solving the venting plan for the furnace. When they took the old furnace out they sound two large tears in the heat exchanger, we may not have made it til Spring. Today its minus 17 with a windchill to minus 26, coldest day we have seen in the Okanagan in a long time. Comfort Tech has very high ratings as a company, we know why that is. As well as customer service from Fortis gas. There were two installer working on installkng a new furnace, along with new humidifier, and filter system. There were some modifications needed to be done to bring everything up to code. All the work looked very professionally done. I'm happy with my new heating system. Called for an estimate for a complete system for our new to us, 40yr old home. Nick came in to see us on the July 1 stat. Who works on stats? Apparently Nick does, when it comes to looking after new customers with a "repeat job home". Our address has been on Comfort Techs list for almost 15 yrs. So it was reassuring to have someone familiar with our home there. Nick is very personable. He listened to our challenges, and asked a lot of good questions. He did a thorough walk through of the house, made notes on details such as where power was in the house, where the head units would go and so on. We asked questions based on our own research, and from there we were able to make the best decisions for our installation. The next day we made our way to the showroom (still under construction in the new digs btw, but the atmosphere is busy as a beehive) Nick let us look at a unit similar to the one he had spec'd out for us. The brand we went for, Daikin, came with an unbelievable warranty for not just parts and labour, but also the workmanship. And covered longer than any of the other manufacturers. Afterwards, it was a small tour of the facility, and a few quick introductions. We were feeling at ease with our decision to go with CT more and more. The quote was drawn up, we agreed and the parts that weren't in stock, were ordered and arrived promptly. Not even 2 full working days in, their plans went smooth, the subcontracted electrician was in and out, the boys dug in and got the work done. They looked after us very well, with great communication, a clean install and the job done under budget I highly recommend Comfort Tech. And will continue to do so whenever I hear of someone needing services like they provide.

Following service call on furnace for check up with our annual contract and being told the filter was clean we had dust balls blowing out of our heating vents throughout the house ..2 days later when calling to have someone come to check what was creating this new problem we were then informed by Denver that this has nothing to do with the previous service call etc . His attitude was arrogant and impatient and informed me that it would cost $99.00 to have a service tech come out and that he had already been out to see the house and everything looked fine from the outside . When questioned about the response to our new problem he continued to argue on the phone this had nothing to do with Comfort Tech stating he had many great reviews and customers are very pleased with him . Subsequently : We have since cancelled our newly renewed service contract and will be busy finding a new company to deal with existing problem .
