Very Disappointing Experience with Store, Have sent an email to the Owner/Manager, We will see if they correct the situation, However there should not have been a situation to correct in the first place. I am a Senior and my Wife is Handicapped, We spent months preparing to go away to Jasper Alberta for a Family Wedding. when we arrived in Jasper we realized that we needed a New Camera, We Went to this particular store (Only Camera Store in town) and after browsing and speaking to a sales person we trusted him and bought a Camera, The Camera was a bit overpriced for starters, after purchasing Camera and Memory card I went back to the hotel, took Camera out of box, prepared to go take some photographs, after 3 pictures the Camera started to malfunction, I immediately stopped using the Camera and went back to the store, Firstly the Person I was dealing with when I bought the Camera was not there, instead there was another sales person, now that I was not there to purchase something the experience changed, He was rude, & abrasive , after he looked at it he realized it was defective, It hadn't been damaged or anything, I was not looking to return the Camera or get my Money back, all I wanted was to exchange the Camera for a non defective one, He refused and told me I would have to send the Camera to Canon directly for repair, (I could maybe understand if The camera was over a week old, but we are talking about hours here) I explained that we were from out of town and needed the Camera for the wedding, However He did nothing, So after overpaying for a Camera that was defective I had to have my Son Buy a Cheaper Camera en route to Jasper from Vancouver just to take photos, I feel like I was completely ripped off, I am a Senior, my wife is handicapped, we are on a budget and having to buy another Camera just to take some photos after I spent over $320 on the Camera from this store left me feeling completely taken advantage of. I am Very disappointed and would recommend not Buying Cameras from this store, If you walk out and it doesn't work you are screwed!! To Sell a defective Camera to a customer and refuse to exchange or refund within hours of purchase and knowing the customer is trying to take pictures of a Family event and still refusing is Bad business. I feel that I was taken advantage of and ultimately ripped off. its a shame that this business would treat people this way. I am disappointed and would recommend buying a Camera from a Reputable larger store in the City that honours their returns/exchange policy.
