We had a small job done - an extension of some flooring with hallway and stairs. The flooring itself was done very well and we have no problem with it. However, I would throw caution if you want them to do your stairs. First, they had put the nosings on and then I had to have it removed to put the stair runner casings on. Not knowing much about stairs myself, I feel they should have known that stair casings go on first before the nosings because of cutting to proper size. Second, our nosings are not proper nosings, but make-shift with 2 pieces pieced together (that you normally would use to separate 2 types of flooring). I would have liked the kind of nosings another flooring company did to our back stairs but for some reason, they wouldn't do it and claimed they didn't know where to get them. I was concerned that these make-shift nosings would come loose and come off, but they assured me they are on there good and not going to come off. Between the time of having it all installed, and having them remove them for the stair casings, some of them already came off. When they re-glued them (after I had another company put the casings on) they supposedly used a stronger glue. It was only a few months later, that one by one, the nosings started coming off again! Almost all of them came off. I finally got to gluing all of them back on with a stronger glue that I had used for another project. It has held pretty good so far, but it has only been maybe 4 months since I glued them back on myself. Then a few months later, some more came off that were from the original job. I was somewhat annoyed so I emailed them asking if there was any compensation or if they can do anything, because I can't keep gluing them back on every few months. All I wanted was some kind of acknowledgement, but I did not get a reply AT ALL. Had I gotten at least some kind of reply, I would not have written this review as I have never written a negative one before. It's been a couple of months since my email, and I just got to gluing these ones back on again. I will have to hire someone else to glue on some proper nosings and spend extra money. I shouldn't have to reglue nosings on my stairs every few months!
