I went here when they hosted Cirque du Soleil - Volta. It was a well organized event from the washroom placement to the refreshments area. Great location, lots of restaurants nearby, and it's along the water. You can easily drive and bike to this location.

Unfortunate that they are going ahead with this development when there is a lot of opposition from within the Algonquin First Nations communities who want to protect this sacred site for better things than condos / retail / offices.

This PARTICULAR area is of special interest and a focal point for the Algonquin. We have taken EVERYTHING from them but you feel that one of the most important pieces of land they have should feature a condo development when we now have a chance to make ammends??? Why are you going DIRECTLY AGAINST THE WISHES of the native people and many of us in the local community? Also have you not realized by now that your project name "Zibi" has been and IS an absolute insult to the local natives? The bottom line is you want MONEY, regardless of what anyone's objections are and are prepared to fight in court and go behind peoples backs to get it. Ideally this area will be cleaned up sans condos. And then perhaps we can restore some dignity to this area as well as strengthen the relationship between native and non-native folks, otherwise the opposite will occur... obviously. Make sense?

Excited to see a different kind of neighbourhood in Ottawa/Gatineau! It's definitely going to be a cool place to live or work, or just to hang out. The sales centre was pretty cool too. I really liked the interactive virtual bike tour.
