At 9:30 A.M., Jon the electrician showed up as promised, having sent an e-mail to advise me of his arrival. He appraised the situation competently and provided an accurate estimate of the work. Jon began work at 10:30 and over the course of five hours, replaced the fluorescent lights, installed a new light in a utility room and replaced two electrical sockets. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, informative and hard-working. The work was done perfectly and I am extremely pleased with his efforts and the price. I needed to add a couple of circuits to my century home that is plaster and lath. Never easy and always dusty. Kirsh gave me a quote and what I paid is exactly what they quote. From the quote process to the billing was the poster child of professionalism. When they were done they followed up with all the paper work that I needed to be code compliant and only then did they bill me. At for dust... they left the house spotless. I would suggest if you want it done RIGHT... call them. :)

had Kirsch Electric come to change our dining room light. Lady who arrived said it was simple...yep hubby hung up hook for chain and did crystals on light. She then wrote me a quote saying it would take 2 hours and be $400. !!! And need 2 people!!!! I said it was straight forward unscrew light detach 2 wires..reattach 2 new wires and screw in cap cover on ceiling. THEN she rewrote the quote for 1 hour for $200. IT TOOK 30 minutes. And she said I will take the light away for you !! I said NO I will sell it! Then she gave us an outrageous quote for over $2000. for basement work. My husband is an electrical technician and he said the quote is NOT clear and makes no sense!! Sorry....the new dining room light is up but I would NOT call this company or recommend them. Yes she had an assistant a young man in training with her and said I had to pay for the price for 2 people to hang the light...I said why? ..hubby here to help!..then she "changed her answer" and said no that was the price for 1 person. Nothing with this company was clear....and personally I think they are a rip off. Flying with highest quote and seeing if customer dumb enough to accept it. Furthermore, if I pay on the spot I would like a paper receipt on the spot. Still forth coming I guess!?? That's wrong! Added note: Thank you for your apology for yesterday; and your refund for work done.

The team at Kirsch Electric was the best service I've had with an electrical contractor in the 10 years I've owned my home. They are excellent communicators, providing clear expectations in their email communications, send helpful text message reminders, and are prompt to reply to questions. The service people were knowledgeable and laid out all the options for our panel and service upgrade. They even tried to get our work done even faster than originally scheduled by advocating on our behalf with the utility company. When they completed the panel upgrade, they worked quickly to map out every circuit breaker and label the panel clearly. They were extremely quick, and did a thorough site cleanup when they had completed the work. I'm giving five stars and I mean each and every one of them. Kirsch & Co. rewired our large house. The crew, which specializes in rewiring, came and finished on time. They were very professional and responsive to our needs. There were 14 spaces (rooms/hallways) that needed rewiring. And even though 7 of these had either wallpaper and/or textured surfaces, the house was rewired with only 2 holes in textured surfaces and 1 in a wallpapered wall. This was an amazing achievement. As expected, there were numerous holes in the smooth surfaces. The holes were well patched, needing just one more patch prior to painting. At the end of each day they left the house in reasonable living condition, and at the end of the job did a nice clean-up job. We whole heartedly recommend Kirsch & Co. if you need your house rewired.

A recent power surge had put our house's 50 year old fuse panel on its last legs. I called Kirsch Electric and explained the situation to their office person, Suzanne. She managed to send someone the same day to access the situation. A new panel was required and paperwork was immediately started. Luckily there was a cancellation with another customer and it freed up a spot for installation. Within a week a new electrical panel was installed. Here is what I can say about this whole process: Kirsch Office Staff: Courteous and efficient - Suzanne truly cares about the customers she serves. Kirsch Technical Staff: Courteous, efficient, punctual and clean - Henry and Connor did an excellent job with the installation without leaving a mess. This was a great experience and job from start to finish. I had them provide a service upgrade from 100Amp to 200Amp. First, when they came to quote everything was discussed and clear. Then the communication and coordination from Suzanne made everything along the way pleasant. When Kevin showed up on the day of the install, he was professional and incredibly well organized. I was in search of an Electrical Contractor for one of the properties that I own in Hamilton. The job entailed pot lights and outlets but in a historic building .This was going to be a challenge to fish wires and do a professional job. I know many industrial electricians that do work for a company i own but I asked them to ask around who they would hire for residential electrical . We recently purchased an older home and needed to have the wiring/electrical in the entire house upgraded, and also wanted to have a few extras like a larger panel, new outlets, and additional lighting installed. Here are some of the top things we liked: - Kirsch was very prompt to come out for an assessment and provided us with a detailed quote, breaking down and explaining the work involved and the associated costs. - Everyone that we dealt with at the company - administrative staff as well as the technicians - were courteous and professional throughout the process. We asked a lot of questions and they were always very quick to respond and advise us. - They made every effort to accommodate our schedule and to complete the work as quickly as possible, even coming to the house during off-hours. - Most important: The quality and professionalism of the work. It was obvious that they care about the doing a good job. Consideration was taken not to damage walls and ceiling wherever possible, holes were patched up, lighting and fixtures installed properly, old wiring was removed where possible, panel was clearly labelled, etc. Overall we're very happy with the work that was done and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kirsch to family and friends.

I recently hired Kirsch Electric for a small list of tasks required, and I am thrilled to have found such a pleasant professional team who perform safe, solid, and reliable work. I will absolutely be adding them to my “go to” list of household contractors as the only electricians I will ever need. SCOPE OF WORK: • Wire and install two smoke detectors that we got for Christmas • Install three new electrical outlets • Supply and install pot light over kitchen sink • Examine possibility of converting kitchen outlet to GFI receptacle • Examine the possibility of putting stairwell light on 3-way switches • Diagnose ‘strobe lighting’ effect in bathroom when using hairdryer • Add breaker to alleviate double tapped breaker, and label panel. • ESA permit and inspection • Approximate cost: $2500 FIRST IMPRESSIONS: • Suzanne (office) provides “next level” client service, each step of the way. This girl is truly a unicorn; she has great communication skills, and a natural aptitude for aiming to impress (which indicates an employer who supports and values her). • Henry came out to assess and quote on our requirements. He took the time to closely examine how to meet our needs and was honest about determining what we didn’t need. He patiently heard our questions and concerns and replied with clear explanations and advice. His vigilance in identifying where we might encounter safety issues, along with his advice on alternatives, were reassuring that he holds himself and his company to a high standard of professionalism, and that he has my family’s best interests at heart. THE TEAM/THE WORK: • Prompt arrival; Henry showed/explained scope of work to his team. • He left us in the capable hands of Anthony, John and Connor. • Clean/tidy – they used tarps and booties to protect my floors. • They were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. • Typically, people might worry about a house full of contractors feeling invasive, but these guys worked so cohesively and amicably together that it was more fun, rather than nuisance, having them around. (no extra charge for the singing!) • Accountability – Henry came back again partway through the day, to check on how things were going and to be available in case any questions/concerns had arisen. • Minimal cutting! – so surprised and relieved that my drywall wasn’t made into swiss cheese. The minimal cuts they had to make were nicely patched, by them. • Quality of work – everything looks neatly done, functions very reliably afterwards, and I have an ESA certificate of inspection to back up their work. Kirsch also provides a one-year warranty on their parts and labour. Bottom Line: Kirsch Electric has won my confidence (to the extent that I’ve already had them quote me on a couple other jobs, too!), and I will enthusiastically recommend them to anyone I encounter in need of electrical service.

We can’t thank them enough. For the past 2 years this has been our go to company when it comes to electrical needs. And we have always been more than satisfied with their work. It was the hottest summer in my memory; July of 2019. Temperatures were hitting 38 degrees and with my luck, my AC stopped working. I contacted the company I lease my HVAC system with and they said it would be 2 days before they could come up ... I was distressed about that because of our cats that have to stay inside all day while my wife and I were at work. The HVAC tech showed up 2 days later (on a Friday) at about 1:30PM. At this point I was starting to feel like I was getting a heat stroke and all I wanted was my AC to get up and running. After running some tests, the HVAC tech told me it was not the AC unit but an issue at my electrical panel; he left as he said he was not covered to look at that issue. I was in total dismay because it was about 2:30 Pm on a Friday and I didn't think I could find an electrician to come out to my place. I took a chance with Kirsch, as they had a 5 star rating. I called in and spoke to Suzanne, who informed me she may have someone to be able to come up, but she'd need to check. Within 5 minutes, she called back and said that she'd have a technician at my place within 20 minutes! We have an old cartridge type fuse box and I was concerned about them not having the correct parts to fix my unit. The technician showed up on time and was sympathetic and very courteous. He didn't berate me for not having a newer fuse box, but nicely recommended that I contact a licensed electrician to replace it ... he didn't try to sell one or even his company to me, he was just concerned about future issues I may have with this 50 year old box. He had the panel back fixed and my AC back up and running within 1/2 hour ... I was thrilled to be out of the heat ... I'm sure my cats were too! For the above and beyond service I received, I am now receiving a quote from Kirsch Electrical to have a new electrical panel put in. 5 Stars is not enough to give them!

My biggest fear working with contractors is always having the project take so much longer than the timeline they give you/ not being reliable. This is definitely not the case with Kirsch. They completed the rewire by the date they told me it would be done and communicated with me every step of the way. Both their work and customer service are outstanding and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them!

We were renovating our main bath and needed some electrical work done. New install for bathroom fan with separate switch, two new pot lights one in shower and one by vanity, add an extra GFI receptacle and a heated floor with programmable thermostat. Since we were acting as the general contractor on the job various trades had to coordinate. unfortunately one problem affects everyone else. Kirsch did the ruff in for the electrical and worked with us through the problems and the result is a beautiful new bathroom that they helped us accomplish. We initially called them because of the excellent reviews and that they were close to us and were not disappointed.

This is my second review for Kirsch Electric Contracting and I’m giving them a 5 star as I did in my previous review. Handing out 5 stars or positive reviews is not something I readily do; the product or work would have to earn it. From the beginning talks about replacing our electrical panel and upgrading to a 200 amp service to the end result was painless and required no effort on my part. All I needed to do was to be home and have the door open. While they were busy doing all the work, I did little chores that I had put off. At times I wasn’t even sure anybody was working because they were so quite. The point I’m making is that the job was handled quickly and professionally with no inconvenience (besides the power being out) to me at all. From the foot coverings they wore, to the sheets they laid down to protect the floor to the polite and well mannered way I was dealt with, was the very picture of the “old fashioned” way business used to be handled. I have had many contractors come to my home with other projects we have had done, and most conducted business in a “millennial” way. What I mean by that is that communication was sparse, the contractors seemed more at home on their mobile phone than speaking to me directly. They did the jobs well, but there was always something lacking about the experience. The work was done according to the schedule provided to me and it was done exceptionally well. All the wires that led to our older box looked like a jumble of confusion; after the work was done on the new box, it was all nice and neat, which visually puts your mind at ease, not to mention it looks aesthetically pleasing. All my outlets, connections and lights were checked to make sure thy were working and the box was labeled accordingly … what a weight off my shoulders! We will be adding a couple of additions to our home and you can bet your last dollar (well, Looney) that I’ll be contacting Kirsch Electrical Contracting to do the job. Not our first experience with Kirsch Electric, likely not our last! []=]= (This is our 10 mth old son's input - lol) Personnel (admin staff and field staff) were pleasant to deal with, communication was great. In today's time, it seems communication is not valued as much by some businesses. But, they were on top of things. Work was done very well and thoroughly (Cheryl, this job) and we are satisfied. Cost for services very reasonable and competitive. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. It can be hard to find a reliable, honest, fair contractor these days, but when you find one, you hold on to them like gold.

We hired Kirsch Electric to complete a partial knob and tube rewire of our century home in Lower Hamilton in Spring of 2020. We can’t express enough how grateful and satisfied we were with the service and the quality of the workmanship! Starting with their team in the office, Suzanne was so friendly to deal with and communication was top notch (e.g. responded to any emails or calls immediately). At the house, Henry and the team worked with precision to make minimal disruptions to the plaster walls and ceilings. They paid excellent attention to detail in patching the areas that they did need to disturb. They completed the work on-time and on-budget and threw in a ton of extras “free of charge” as they went along (e.g. mapped the entire electrical network on the panel, installed recessed lighting in the basement, upgraded all exterior outlets to GFCI’s). They left the job site in immaculate condition at the end of each day. We’re incredibly fortunate to have businesses of this caliber in operating our community. Would highly recommend Kirsch for any job. Especially the complicated ones!

This is a very busy company. However when they had an opening free up they called me and cut weeks out of my wait. They attended my home and were very professional and straight forward with me. We had Kirsch Electric update our wiring from knob and tube, redo the kitchen wiring that was not loaded correctly and also added a few outlets throughout the house. They did an awesome job and went above and beyond our expectations. Not only did they professionally fix what we hired them to do but they replaced a flickering pot light and replaced and ugly old metal outlet cover with a white one that blends in nicely as well as some other small things they came across. I highly recommend them!
