Just want to give a shout-out to Paul and Norm who came today to do our front window. We recently had our roof done (review to follow when it's all done) and opted to have a metal standing seam section done over our front window as a special feature. Paul and Norm did an incredible job custom cutting sections of flashing to ensure that it was completely straight and level with the brick line (as the contrast with black and white is highly unforgiving). Paul was so patient to make sure he got it perfect and would not put caulking until we, as homeowners, agreed that it looked terrific. Thanks for your professionalism and commitment to getting it right! Our feature window is exactly that!

This is the second time I’ve chosen Gerry’s Roofing and Siding for replacing a roof. This time I worked with Roger to replace the roof, add siding and replace some windows. Donna was great and helped me with billing. Tim was always helpful and cheerful. Any questions or issues were answered or resolved quickly, a metric I use to determine the value of a business. In my case, the work was done to my satisfaction, the employees worked well and questions or concerns were dealt with in a timely and satisfactory manner. Service definitely deserving of 5 stars!

In Oct 2018 I had a very small job - an enclosed 8 X 10 sun porch. Not only did they do a great job at a reasonable price (especially considering that most companies would not even take on such a small job), but, when I noticed that one of the ridge shingles had been broken away (squirrel or racoon?) this spring they returned and replaced the shingle for me free of charge. When my house roof needs replacing in 10 years or so, I will be calling Gerry's first. I wish I could give them 6 stars but 5 is the max allowed it appears.

We had Gerry’s Roofing come out recently for a small siding repair. The office staff was quick to respond and technicians were able to come out the same day and had our siding fixed within a half hour of their arrival. Our experience with this company however was hugely impacted by the cost of the repair. When speaking with the team initially I was quoted $750 for 2-3 hours of work which was high enough. The repair only ended up taking 30 mins to complete so I called the office to see how that would affect my final invoice. At that point, I was told that the workers drive time to West Hamilton Mountain from their office in Stoney Creek had to be added onto the repair time (adding an additional hour to our total time) and they were only willing to drop our quote by $100 to a total of $650 before taxes. All in all, our experience wasn’t terrible but I can’t justify the expense of ever hiring them again. 3/5 and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone I know looking for a siding company due to the high cost.

EXCELLENT These guys are not your typical roofers! I have my office Martel Commercial Realty Inc. and residence in a condo complex and I also sit on the board for the condo corp. The other day Nailed it showed up and quickly started stipping and reshingling a condo owners roof. Unfortunately the wrong colour shingle was being installed. When I approached them to suggest they stop and fix the problem before it became a bigger problem. The entire clew was stopped and held up for at least a couple hours at a tremendous loss to the company, There must have been at least six guys on the job. In stead of the situation becoming ugly these guys took care of the problem immediately with absolutely no attitude. The job was done, everything cleaned up. EXCELLENT

Their estimator is friendly and knowledgeable about the products the company provides, willing to help. It took a couple of weeks for them to come, this could be seasonal; happened in both July and October. Gerry was helpful and educational on the one occasion I met him in the office (was dropping off a signed contract). The work was done within the time frame they stated and at the quoted amount, no complaints about workmanship (jobs were completed in October 2017). Gerry's roofing was the highest quoted job, we decided to go with them so that we would receive the quality and service a higher quote would render... unfortunately the service we received fell short of expectations; Their office staff/OWNER (Jane St. Germain) is rude and emotional, she will hang up on you if she doesn't like what you are saying. To give you an idea of the service you can expect to receive when dealing with their office staff; - calling to confirm when workers are coming = rude and condescending, essentially how dare I call to find out when my services (that I'm paying $15,000 for), will be provided, - call x2 to confirm when workers will arrive = rude and condescending had to ask to speak to someone else, was hung up on. After reaching out to the original estimator, a gentleman in their office called me back (he was an estimator too), I asked to speak to Gerry, he was not in the office, but the gentleman was very helpful, - received a call from Jane St. Germain just over 2 months after last job completed; immediately and harshly accused me of ignoring my payment that was due in October, can't even describe the level of aggressiveness this woman has. "Hi Jane, how are you? Haven't heard from you since before the jobs started, happy new year!" "Hi Margot, just a reminder that you have a small outstanding balance and we thank you for your business, when can we expect payment?" ****WAS NOT THE CONVERSATION WE HAD. Between 2 houses we gave them just over $20,000 in business. An out building was added after the first quotes for an amount of $429.00 - this was the balance Jane was on the hunt for. There was no follow up call confirming work had been done and they do not issue invoices (your signed contract is your invoice). These are not primary residences and I personally was not even sure the work was done, it was, and we were happy to pay, called Jane back to confirm work and give her my visa and give her some final feedback on how I felt about the level of customer service - JANE'S RESPONSE...."You know what Margot, YOU owed ME money in October and my job is to collect." and then she hung up. As an owner/operator of multiple income properties and a believer of kindness; Gerry's Roofing will never again receive my business or my referral of business and Jane St. Germain needs a hug.

We’ve used Gerry’s roofing and siding for several projects at our old home and we knew they were the ones to call when it was time to replace our windows and fix our roof in our new home. They’ve helped us beautify our home with this stunning blue roof, eves, soffits and fascia. Windows just got completed today and we LOVE our vinyl windows. We chose chocolate colours to complement the roof and they even had a pewter grid insert available to match the original look of the old windows. All the workers were so friendly and professional. They did a great job keeping the site clean and tidying up. 10/10 would always recommend.

Last year we had Gerry’s Roofing and Siding give us a quote on fixing the eaves and downspouts on our house. They suggested replacing all the eaves, redirecting the water flow to new downspouts and covering the eaves with a leaf cover product, Alu-rex. The quote seemed reasonable. They did the work when they said they would and the new location for the downspouts solved my problem. But…. Once the leaves fell they stuck to the leaf cover. Gerry’s said that “things are frozen now, it will be ok in the spring”. It wasn’t. The eaves were covered in a mat of solid leaves. The leaves are tiny (Locust tree) and they don’t blow off. Gerry’s came and removed the leaf mat from part of the eaves. I asked if it would happen again. They said that the problem was with my singles being too long! If that was really the case, why did they recommend this product? I just asked them to remove the Alu-Rex. They refused. I can’t recommend them. 4 stars for installation of eaves, 0 stars for their recommendation.

Super happy with our experience with Gerry's Roofing & Siding Inc. on our fairly extensive and complicated re-roof/repair project on our home. From start to finish the experience was professional and pleasant. We've ended up with a well-done combination roof/siding/window repair which we will no longer have to worry about. All in all it was a pleasure to work with these folks and we very much appreciate the approach and quality of their work. Highly recommended. Ask for Franco, Paul and Jake's crew. That's the short version, the details follow if you are interested. We had suffered through 5 years of leaking roof, windows, and ceiling damage in a number of locations after a botched job on our house renovation/extension. After many tries and no luck with the original contractor we went in search of someone who could actually fix our problems. Got quotes from a half dozen companies and felt good about going with Gerry's Roofing & Siding Inc. We had our house completely re-roofed, siding areas sealed properly including dormers (notoriously problematic), windows resealed, chimney stripped and wrapped properly. Only good things to say about Franco (estimator) who was on site promptly, was happy to go through the details of the problems and their view to solving our problems, and even brought out their technical lead Paul to have a look and discuss. Franco put up with my many questions and even invited me to the shop to see some of the products and have Paul show me how they would be taking care of some of the things I was wondering about. This was something I was very impressed with and appreciated. I found it easy to work with the team: Franco, Paul, Jake and his crew (Sean, Norm), Allan, Fred, Jeff, Gail, Joel the owner. Everyone was polite, friendly, and thoughtful. The project was well organized, well coordinated, well communicated, and well delivered. As someone who works in a technical field and has a background in project management I can say that this company has the right idea. What's more the people working at Gerry's get it - attention to detail and making sure the job is done well and done right. Franco was patient and helpful on finalizing the quote and details, answered all my questions and set things up. Paul was on hand to oversee and do final inspections of the work, his problem solving and technical skill were key. Jake's crew (Jake, Sean, Norm) were excellent and a pleasure to have at our home: neat, tidy, respectful and friendly. Plus happy to answer questions and explain things. Allan and Fred did a nice job on a window replacement, and Gail nicely took care of things in the office to close things out. The work was done promptly, but not rushed. Have tried to show some of the technical detail in the photos - left with things nice and tight and looking good. I'd like to thank the team from Gerry's. They helped us out and solved our problems. Sure it's their job to do this work but with these folks you feel that it's more than that, they are excellent. Many people can call themselves roofers and slap on a roof as we found out the hard way, but these folks are solid, have a lot of experience and it shows.

I would give this company no stars if I could. What an awful experience. I used them back in the early summer to fix parts of my roof and get eaves done which were collecting water and then dripping on my front step.....6 months later and the eaves are Still collecting water and now dripping and freezing on my front step. Gerrys roofing Is aware of the issue in fact they've come back and admitted that there's an issue.....MY HUGE complaint is that they haven't fixed them yet and NOW they won't even return my calls. ....honestly they should just stand behind their work and correct THEIR mistake.

Called for a quote on patching up our roof around where a chimney was removed by previous owner that squirrels had been scratching at. Was told someone would be around in a few days to take a look and that I didn't need to be home. Got a call a couple days later, he had viewed the spot and quoted me and said that they could complete the job same day. We had a custom home built and it was only after eight years we noticed our 25 year shingles where crumbling off our roof. We called the builder and they told us that there was indeed problems with the shingles that they used, but we would have to deal with that shingle company directly, anyway after much turmoil and aggravation, we gave up ! We had three companies out to give us a quote on redoing our whole house. After several quotes of exorbitant prices a friend suggested we called Gerrys Roofing. They were very sympathetic and understanding on the poor workmanship that we had had in the past and came out within a week to give a quote and not only was it within reason it happened to be the least amount. We decided to go with them. The crew came out the following week ... they were on time ! they were polite ! and they were very efficient, and I have never seen a crew after working in blistering heat take that much care to make sure everything was cleaned up when they left. We may have been shafted by the original roofing company when the house was built but I can tell you that Gerrys roofing has shown us that there are still great companies out there that work hard and believe in honesty. They gave us value for our dollar and left us with an incredible finished product one that we are very proud of. Nothing has blown off or leaked since Gerrys Roofingroofing did an outstanding job for us. We are grateful.

I could not speak more highly of Gerry's Roofing and Siding. If I could give them 100 stars I would! Our skylight started to leak DAYS before we moved. Roger, the estimator, came out and assured me that his company would be able to do the work and do it with excellence. The quote he gave me was significantly cheaper than about 5 other roofing companies that came by. This made me feel so good, knowing that they weren't taking advantage our time pressed situation. They personally drove out of town to get the new Skylight to save time on delivery/shipping to ensure our project was going to be completed on time. Every time we connected with the office Donna was fantastic and always got back to me ASAP. The week of the install was a rainy and windy one, but Gerry's Roofing company regularly kept in contact with us putting our concerns at ease. At the first sign of good weather they arrived at our home and completed the work with such excellence and speed. Called for an estimate and spoke to a lady who was very unpleasant and condescending. I discussed I was looking for a quote and shopping around but was serious on getting the roof replaced asap before the winter as it was starting to leak. She said they would go over and do an estimate so I gave the address and was eagerly awaiting their reply so I could make a decision and get the job rolling as soon as it was possible to prevent further damages to my attic. Several days later, I receive an email simply stating "not interested in job" and basically a brief paragraph stating simply that they were now not going to do a quote as they didn't want to work on my house. No other explanation was given and the tone was unbelievably unprofessional, short and rude. Save your time and head the other warnings below and look for a more reputable, and honest company to do your roof work. Stay away from Gerry's like the plague.

These guys are the best and have been stable and consistent for decades in Hamilton and surrounding communities. I have a 100 year old house with a difficult steep and high roof. They did a great job on my roof, soffit, fascia, and eavestrough. The workers were courtesy and considerate. And they were the best price by far. From the first contact with Roger to go over details of the work and costing, Dianne and I got a good feeling of being in professional, friendly hands. The experience which set the tone started off with their Sales Rep Franco. I was amazed at the professionalism and sincerity Franco exhibited.
