it's been about 2 and a half years now since the nightmare with Sutcliffe started. We never complained, always paid our invoices on time, and thought we had a good relationship with them. Then, when we keep a modest hold-back (compared to overall cost of job) because of the attached obvious deficiencies, they send a lawyer letter demanding payment under threat of court action. My advice is to stay away.

The smallest change and critiquing the placement of the cabinets and counter tops were handled effortlessly. Absolutely excellent advice and service from the kitchen design phase with Miranda to Ryan's eye for detail and quoting of the work to be done preparing for the actual kitchen cabinet installation. Miranda patiently listened to our needs for a new and functional kitchen then provided us with detailed design ideas and patiently helped us select all of the cabinet qualities, styles and colors, and hardware. The project manager Jesse had his work cut out for him, coordinating the sub trades; plumbers, electricians, cabinet and trim installation. They all took their shoes off at the door, cleaned up everyday, were courteous and all professional. Jesse and the "boys" did this with professionalism and calm over a 4 week period and it was done beautifully. We highly recommend this company for your kitchen design and reno. You will not be disappointed and it's worth every penny.

A major kitchen renovation is a daunting task for a new homeowner. Perhaps most important is that your vision for the new kitchen is shared by the designers. After meeting several different companies, we felt that “click” with Lisa and Kevin from Sutcliffe Kitchens. They listened to our ideas, provided amazing feedback and advice, and then showed us several concept designs that had us hooked. Lisa’s initial kitchen design captured our vision for the new kitchen perfectly, but we also appreciated her willingness to tweak the plans as we thought of additional touches to include during the renovation, e.g., accent shelves, redesigning a small wall to accommodate a specific fridge model, etc. And we couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen. However, what stood out for us was how easy it was to live through this major renovation. The contractors (Jonny and Matt) were outstanding and kept the space incredibly clean and dust-free (even during the dry walling). They were also very communicative, and were very quick to respond to all texts and emails. The various subcontractors used by Sutcliffe Kitchens for electrical, plumbing, painting, and flooring were all outstanding. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and we really appreciated it when they offered advice/suggestions based on their expertise that ultimately made the final product even better. Perhaps the thing we appreciated the most was the attention to detail shown by Kevin, Jonny, Matt and the others. We were completely confident going on a holiday midway during the renovation knowing that no detail would be missed by them. A major renovation is a significant financial undertaking and it’s important to have confidence in all the people working to make your dream a reality. We have absolutely no hesitation recommending Sutcliffe Kitchens for your next kitchen renovation. They were a pleasure to work with and will make sure that the final product meets your expectations. It is so common to hear horror stories from folks whose contractors miss targets, do sloppy work, and hide from warranty work. Not here! We did a full gut and remodel of our kitchen. Our house is a century farm home and there were challenges to get everything we wanted in these old walls. Miranda was amazing. She really helped us to bring our kitchen to life. The drawings were detailed and helped us visualize what it was we wanted and her suggestions were pratical and inspiring. Getting to see the hardware, cupboards and counter top in person, at their beautiful showroom, was fantastic. Sutcliffe Kitchens designed and constructed a complete kitchen expansion and renovation project in our home, including all new surfaces, appliances and appurtenances. This was a once-in-a-lifetime project for us - we just love our finished kitchen. We are so glad that we went with Sutcliffe Kitchens for this project that was so important to us. Without hesitation I recommend Sutcliffe Kitchens and Sutcliffe’s designer on our project, Kim Larion-Little. Sutcliffe clearly commits to ensuring their customers are completely happy - this was definitely true of our experience. We enjoyed the entire process. Everyone we met was friendly, pleasant and always had time for us. All of the planning and decisions were collaborative; Kim really listened and our wishes were there in the plans she prepared. Sutcliffe did a superb job for us in all aspects of the project: planning and design, communication, project management, installation and project closure. Kim’s suggestions on colours and materials were excellent, we are glad we followed her lead. She also made excellent recommendations to us for new appliances and suppliers. Sutcliffe Kitchens worked in tandem with the constructor (in our case both BM Builders and Sutcliffe’s own installation team). The communication was seamless and excellent. Every detail was given attention. Nothing was missed. All our questions and comments were given full attention and fast response. Kim and the installation team collaborated during the construction phase on some unique solutions and treatments which we love. The project management was excellent. Sutcliffe Kitchens promised us that once we agreed on a quoted price, there would be no extra charges. They kept their word. The quoted price was our final installed cost. Throughout the entire project there were no errors, no omissions, no forgotten details. Construction work started on the date we were told it would. All work was complete a few days ahead of schedule. Sutcliffe Kitchen’s cabinet installation team is superb and so friendly - work proceeds very quickly and their work looks perfect to my eyes. Ahead of project close-out there were a handful of very minor blemishes to correct: Sutcliffe was excellent in having these promptly corrected to our complete satisfaction. I can happily say that Sutcliffe Kitchens exceeded every one of our expectations and we are completely happy with the experience. Best of all, we simply love our new kitchen! We hope to renovate our primary bathroom in a few years; we will absolutely ask Kim and Sutcliffe Kitchens to undertake that work for us as well. Kim promised me at the very beginning that Sutcliffe Kitchens’ clients are happy clients. I am indeed a happy Sutcliffe Kitchens client!

It's been one year since my kitchen renovation with Sutcliffe Kitchens and my kitchen is fabulous and functioning great! Kim did the design and what a challenge that was, having to accommodate four doorways, two windows and a staircase all in a small space! And I wanted to have a much larger main window. Kim cleverly suggested setting the fridge into the wall between my kitchen and diningroom and this liberated so much space. The final design was amazing! My kitchen feels more spacious and is full of light. Also, Kevin had new pantry pullouts that are really heavy duty and can really handle a high load. Two of these were put in the ideal location to use up space that would have been lost while providing easy access for all my pantry items. My kitchen is not only beautiful but functional. Kim helped me choose the right sort of cabinets to make everything work for me. She also suggested a great fan from Faber that goes nicely with my streamlined look. The installation was done by Sean and Tracey who were efficient and cheerful. The kitchen reno was part of a larger reno and Sutcliffe Homes did that. The kitchen staircase needed to be enclosed for safety among other things and Ryan Franks from Sutcliffe Homes suggested a wonderful shaker style paneling that looks fantastic and there are even transom windows at the top to give natural light in the enclosed space. There is a matching pocket door so that the staircase is disguised and hidden in the wall. How delightful! A much larger window was put into the kitchen and Sutcliffe Homes had Castle Masonry do the outside brickwork to match my century home yellow brick.

Kitchen and bath reno in 2020 Sutcliffe Kitchen and Sutcliffe Renovations We selected Sutcliffe based on the quality in showroom, willingness to listen to our requirements that was reflected in the design and the excellent working relationship they both demonstrated during the quote process. This excellent relationship was clearly demonstrated during the project. Lisa (Sutcliffe Kitchen) turned a dull and dark old kitchen area into a bright and well organized new kitchen and also did a great job on our separate pantry and laundry room. They were all excellent to work with, Lisa, Sean and Tracey on the kitchen and Ryan, Jake and Brad on the renovation construction. The workmanship was excellent and everyone followed through on commitments. Any delays were usually created by us due to our Covid cautions. They also kept to a rough timetable that was provided and this really helped us understand where we were and what was coming. The fact that this project could be accomplished on time and during a pandemic is a testament to their organization skills and excellent working relationships with their suppliers and trades. We would definitely recommend them.

Full compliments to Miranda, who was our designer, who listened and asked lots of questions to fully understand our vision and then brought it to life. During the reno process she was always available to answer questions from our contractors who were prepping the work area. Our kitchen renovation was completed over a year ago. After living with our Sutcliffe kitchen for this time, we can't express how much we love everything about our kitchen. There is nothing that we would change! This was part of a major renovation and Sutcliffe provided the kitchen design and installation. Kim did an amazing job of really understanding how to have fully functional kitchen space that looks beautiful. Her design was perfect and her help with choosing cabinet colours was so valuable. She worked with us to make sure that choices worked for our budget. The use of drawers is amazing for making sure that we have a lot of counter space. We had drawers included that accommodate appliances that we don't use on a regular basis (e.g., stand mixer, blender, food processor). Working with Kim was wonderful and our interactions with Kevin and Sean were also wonderful. We are so happy with everything about our experience with Sutcliffe!
