Addendum to M2 Contractors review June 1, 2021. After the winter we discovered a slight issue in the back yard with some grading. Matt Jenkins immediately jumped on the issue and had it corrected by his professional landscaper at no cost to us. M2's Customer service is excellent and goes above and beyond. I again recommend M2 very highly. We are very satisfied. Keep up the good work, Matt. Original review from 2020: We recently hired M2 Contractors to build a ground floor addition onto our home in Guelph to add a second bedroom and foyer to our existing basement apartment. I am very pleased with working with M2 for the following reasons: 1. Competitive pricing: M2’s quotation was very competitive for this project. Also, as the price of lumber increased due to the pandemic, M2 absorbed the increase without passing it on to us. 2. Customer Service: When we had any questions, M2 always did their best to respond the same day. Sometimes, they even responded with one hour. 3. Timeliness of completion: M2 committed to completing the project by October 31 they met that date by 99%. There was a delay at the very end of the project from the eaves trough sub-contractor, but M2 addressed the situation and got the installation completed shortly after. 4. Quality of workmanship: We are very pleased with how the addition turned out. Everything was done to what we agreed to in the Contract. 5. Covid-19 safety measures: M2 addressed the pandemic by having each sub-contractor crew work in their own bubble. No two crews were allowed to be in the same location indoors or out at the same time, and all crews were routinely tested. I would not hesitate to highly recommend M2 Contractors to anyone.

In three months, M2 completed a full reno of our downtown century home. From mechanicals to finishes, their work and that of their trades is top quality, AND they are fantastic to work with. If you want a worry-free reno experience, hire M2. Reasonable rates, incredible communication & attention to detail. These guys are why you hire a contractor. Hope to work with them again some day!

We are very happy with our choice to go with M2 Contractors for our partial basement renovation. They we were very professional and organized, down to creating a Google Doc so we knew what to expect and when. Very friendly and helpful, answered any questions we had promptly and helped make the process easier with giving us ideas where to go for options. Matt has really helped me out with a complete main floor renovation to my home in Guelph Ontario. I had a hard time finding a company that I felt comfortable with until these guys came out and did a full inspection and quote for me. I was really impressed with the layout they performed on their design software and it really got me excited to start the process of transforming our home. The job was completed in a fashionable time and I'm more then happy with the results and the entire team was friendly towards my family as well my farm animals as I have a bunch of goats! M2 is an amazing company. We started a main floor renovation just as COVID was beginning. Fortunately for us, they were able to proceed and for the most part stay within the time lines set out. The quality of the workmanship is impeccable. They work with some of the best trades we have seen. They all take such pride in their work and were all so respectful of us and our home. Both Matts were absolutely great to work with. No request was too much. They responded to all of our emails and calls within minutes. The professionalism from both of them is evident from the very first meeting with them.The finished product is absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t be happier. They were extremely professional and organized from our first meeting (almost a year before our actual project began), and made our materials selection and renovation a painless experience. They took special care to minimize impact on us as we were living in the home through the project. Lastly they finished ahead of schedule by 1 week which was unheard given the scope of the reno. The careful and competent work at each stage of the project was impressive, and the quality of the final product is excellent. Matt and Matt, the lead teams, and sub-contractors were all polite, friendly and very skilled in their work. M2 kept to the timeline throughout the project and completed this major renovation in the promised eight weeks. We were kept up to date and involved in the process by communicating through their software program, emails, texts and on-site chats. Once the budget was agreed upon, they kept to it, and even included some extras. We are more than pleased with the experience we had with M2 and would highly recommend them. After being brushed off and having a meeting we waited a month to book cancelled within 12 hours, we finally were able to reschedule a meeting. Upon meeting with them, we were impressed with their knowledge and guidance for our project. We were instructed our quote may take a few weeks. We followed up 3 weeks later, and were told they were extremely busy and would have it ready within another few weeks. After waiting almost 9 weeks, I followed up again and received a reply that they were not working on our quote and would not be as they were booking other projects. This came as a surprise as they gave no indication when meeting with us that this would be the outcome. This project is a large project that will be roughly $250,000-350,000, so it came as a shock that they were declining our business. Would not recommend reaching out as their communication lacks professionalism.
