DELL COMPUTER ISSUES - I don’t recommend anyone take their computer to be repaired at London Drugs if you are running a Dell system. I brought my computer tower to them for a power supply swap, and it took over a month to get a hold of their Dell contact, order the power supply, and get it installed. They said it was an issue with their contact at Dell, which is likely the case, but I realized quickly after calling around, that other places in GP could repair it in a couple days. I also had to do my own follow up along the way. I had to continually call and ask for updates on my unit.

Great selection and usually will have anything you need. The girls in the makeup department typically totally ignore you OR follow you around like your stealing. Not stealing peeps, sometimes when your on a budget you have to go back and fourth a few times to decide what’s going to work best and not break the bank ! The pharmacy is very helpful as well as the front check outs. I like the option of a human and a self checkout both being available.

Sold me video surveillance system. Then asked if I wanted to upgrade my memory card to hold more days the video. I did for another hundred dollars and get it home and the upgraded memory card does even work with the surveillance system.

I was just on hold for 1hr trying to get ahold of the photo department and finally when someone did pick up I was told I was being transferred and I was put on hold for another 10min. Finally I got a hold of the photo department and the man was very rude and said he didn’t know the answers to my questions and that I should just come in tomorrow morning. NOT IMPRESSED.

I was in the store at 5:00pm on this Saturday looking for a microwave. There were no sales associates to be found. When I arrived at the cashier to pay, the sign was out to indicate she was closed. This was the only cashier open. We were told go to Customer Service, which we did. The lady behind us asked if they wanted to buy stuff at their store. How do you have a store that big, with no staff? I'm from out of town and I will not be back.

London Drugs has gotten much better since its renovation a few years back. The aisles are now more organized and the electronics section has been opened up and made more spacious. Customer service is top notched. Employees are very helpful.

However, failing to be serviced for a quick sim card purchase while an employee talks to her friend and says she "isn't busy right now" isn't a fun customer experience. I waited 10 or so minutes listening to your employee talk about her vacation plans while being fairly obvious that I needed help.

Nightmare pharmacy! The rating of two stars is specifically for the pharmacy. Driving in from out of town and had to on multiple occasions make a second trip due to multi-day waits to fill prescriptions! The rest of the store is good, standard London Drugs chain but the pharmacy is not cool. When I asked around people recommended that I go to any other pharmacy and they reported long waits as well. I had to go back and forth on too many times to try to get necessary medicine that should be given an urgent priority. They also acted high handed and I felt like they were judging me because of the prescription I had filled. In fact, they did judge me because they wrote a letter to my doctor, feeling quite sure that they were more informed about my condition than my doctor. Update: after the store’s email interactions with me after I rated them, I’ve lowered it to one star. Incredibly poor customer experience!!!!!! What was that supposed to do to help? They ask me for more info and how to make it right... and then they don’t reply when I conscientiously take the time to reply to their query! Wow, they managed to waste more of my time without me going into the store! Pharmacy FAIL

I like this place for their gluten free selection of cookies and sweet things. I browse there on a fairly regular basis and find their grocery sections are often stocked with hard to find items. I like the coffee isle and the magazine isle too.

Love the photo lab! Super easy to print pictures using their online photo lab app. Lots of options for size and styles of photos, including canvas and metallic prints. You can have the pictures delivered or pick them up in store. Overall fear store for electronic, house wears and grocery items. They also have a small area for furniture items.

I often go to London Drugs to get my prints done. As a professional photographer, I find their quality fantastic. I had made a mistake in the orientation of my photo. Travis in Cameras went above and beyond. Not only did he help me fix it, but he had a new one ready in minutes!! This is the kind of service Vernon needs. Do not use the photo service for an infant. They are awful. My 3 months old can't sit up yet as any 3 months old baby and they were annoyed by that, the employee was not polite at all. His passport pictures were done incorrectly and they did not care or try to give a good service

Love shopping any London Drugs as a one stop all in one. Twice in the last 2 weeks I have been in the computer department. As i walked in one rep walked by me and did not say anything. The other rep was busy with a customer. I walked around the small department and didn't see what I was looking for. Walked out after 2 minutes as no one in the least acknowledged i was there. I called today to talk to the computer dept and left a call back number. No one phoned. Humm.

I've popped in and shopped here numerous times. I've bought phones, licorice, cleaning supplies, etc. Throughout my time shopping here I've never had a problem worth bringing out, and the customer service was good. I came in here Thursday , browsed around, and grabbed some ink. The ink was on Amazon for $8 cheaper, and since LD heavily advertises "Price Match Guaranteed", I went to get it checked. Waiting in line, I got to the cashier, where she quickly scanned my items and told me the total. I asked if they price matched, and was told "no". I asked if that was indeed the case, and she realized they did indeed price-match. The cashier gave me a blank, annoyed look and I turned over my cellular device after deducing this was code for "May I see the competitor's offer, please?" She didn't know how to price check, so she waved over a senior employee and/or supervisor - while the person behind me patiently tapped their fingers against the counter (seriously, that's obnoxious and rude, don't do that) - and she checked it over. After a beat or three, the employee said they weren't the same products, citing that the ink's title contained a "3" at the end (the pictures of the ink were the exact same as the one LD was selling, so I'm guessing the 3 in title referred to fact that you're getting three inks instead of one). Unwilling to argue and upset our fine citizen's further, I acknowledged their conjucture. Afterwards I looked over the Amazon ink, as I spent awhile verifying they were the same and couldn't spot a difference and went to the back of the store to get a second opinion. After talking to one technical staff behind the counter, they said they couldn't find any difference between the two and went to talk to their supervisor to get their approval. Thankfully, it wasn't particularly difficult to get the price adjusted at that point (a bit time consuming, but I don't mind waiting). Unfortunately, the bad impression had already formed. While the second employee I'd talked was great, the first was lacking in several factors. Its not as if I'll refuse to shop here again, but my desire to come back has been reduced. The prices are decent, not great (Loblow's stores tend to be cheaper), but not expensive enough for me to often mind, they have a neat loyalty program and the customer service is, the majority of the time, good. As it were, though, negative experience are often more apparent than positive ones. This review isn''t reflective on this store or company as a whole, just a singlar experience. One that stood out enough for me to write a review. I would've rated this visit with single star, but gave two since the second employee mitigated the incident and was friendly.

Called ahead to ask how long to expect a MacBook repair to take, as I was coming from out of town (2 hours from the store). I was told 7 -10 days. I went to the store the next day and was told the time was actually "indeterminate" possibly months, and at least >3 weeks. I asked to take the computer back after it was assessed and return it when the part came in, but was told that was "impossible" and that it would have to stay at the store. I offered to pay for the replacement part in advance, in the case that apple refuses to warranty it, but was told they would keep that money even if apple did warrantee the computer. Customer agent snickered that I should try getting that back from Apple. Wasted a whole day and travel costs. Apple provided zero support for their product, gave different (and ultimately wrong) info every time I called. Stay away from Apple - it's overpriced garbage with planned obsolescence and terrible customer service. Staff at LD provided no help and wrong information. It wasn't the first computer I have bought from LD Vernon, but it will be my last.

It's got more soul then Shoppers Drug Mart and the environment feels less sterile( in a good way, not touch something and you've got to lather purell on your hands to avoid getting scurvy or the black lung kind of way). Perhaps because the lighting doesn't make it feel like an overly bright all white room often seen in a cliché pre death movie scene. Where am I going with this?!!! I don't know. I have always loved LD and shop there often. The staff are helpful but not very acurate. I bought a laptop there 1 year ago and was told it would be in within 3 to 5 days. One month later I was so frustrated that I bought a cheaper model that today I am so sorry I did. Because I like LD I didn't give up on them, but today I again am very disappointed. I was told that if I was not satisfied, for whatever reason, with a product I bought in the cosmetic department just to bring it back. So I did purchase a new brand product I was told was very similar to the one I usually buy, and again was told if not satisfied just bring it back. ( there was never any instruction to have the original receipt also) So today I did bring back that product still 3/4 full. Was told I needed a receipt, I said it would show on my LD membership account and she said that would not work, so I said I did have a MC statement. But again it had to be the paper receipt that I was given at time of buying the product. I can see that that makes sence but because I was not told that when I purchased the product I didn't have my original receipt. I didn't want a refund I just wanted to exchange the staff recommended product for what I usually got. I guess it might be time to give some other drug stores a chance. Good by LD, we did have a great run of many many years.

Love the Pharmacy. My experience tonight was with the photo department. First time at the LD photo, needed help around the self printing. The employee behind the desk referred a young girl who tried her best to change items regarding size. She apologized on behalf of the system. I could relate, I was watching her try. Another employee gave me a lesson on size ratio, ugh. Then interrupted us to speak to the girl. I called him on it, suggesting he could at least say excuse me before interrupting. He said he was in a hurry, so I left. Perhaps the lady behind the photo desk should of helped us to begin with.

My wife purchased a espresso machine here with the retailer pushing the extended warranty option sold by London drugs. Now it's time to use the extended warranty and the store representatives in grande prairie are nothing but a nightmare to deal with. No help, rudeness, and forcing my wife to try and track down the breakdown in communication between this store and their corporate warranty program. They refuse to contact their own people and find it why London drugs warranty office communications aren't going from their warranty office to their own store here in Grande prairie. Products are standard and usually no issues but I definitely don't recommend getting sold into their trusted "extended warranty program". Not worth the hassle of fixing their problems for them.

I went to your store yesterday to get six pages faxed of to Edmonton. The girl told me it would cost $24.00 dollars I said no thanks. Then I went to Shoppers on the South side in Grande Prairie I asked how much was it to fax of six sheets she said $6.50 cents. I couldn’t believe the difference. I have the recite to show London Drugs. It’s outrageous what you are charging a sheet to fax. It would be different if I wanted something copied off then I’m useing your paper. So I know who is getting my business when I want to fax anything. Also I told my friends to go to Shoppers to fax there papers.
