Check your gutters after getting a new roof installed. I had to figure out why water was backing up and found out they were not cleaned and so much material from the old/new roof had to be removed.

I just read this story on MSN about Jeremy Locke and Locke's Roofing and Construction in Bridgeport, Nova Scotia and what he and others did for this elderly woman who is a senior citizen in his community. The world needs more Jeremy's to help those less vulnerable. In a world that is constantly reporting negative stories, it is refreshing to read about a good Samaritan story. I wish Jeremy and his company success and hope that anyone in the area looking for a reputable construction company in Glace Bay, that you would look no further and consider Locke's Roofing and Construction. I will not reveal who I am for my own safety (Jeremy has a history of violence therefor I feel the need to protect my identity), but I will reveal that I have known this individual for many years and I know him well. With the knowledge that I have on his roofing business, I feel the need to warn the public with the information that I have or else I have no heart or good conscious. Jeremy Locke, owner of Locke's Roofing and Construction based out of Glace Bay NS, is a SCAM ARTIST! He is a con, a thief and a master deceiver. He lies about his experience as a roofer, He previously claimed 10 years or more when the real number is closer to around 5 as of spring 2020 (he has often changed the number of years as a roofer so good luck getting a straight answer out of him). He has refused to pay many of his workers, including roughly 800 dollars each to 2 foreign exchange students that worked for him. He has damaged property of his clients (screen door, solar panels) and although he initially promised to pay for the items damaged by him or his crew, he ghosted those customers after the job was done, one of them being an elderly woman on a limited income I bring up the fact that he ripped off an elderly woman as when he did the "charitable" roof job in the sterling in the fall of 2019, (house across from old McDonald's in glace bay), he did so as he claimed to have felt bad a elderly woman had such a poor quality roof, therefor compelling him to do some charitable work for her. You would have seen this in the media as it got quite a lot of attention, and he even received an award for his supposed good deed months afterwards. Now there's no denying the labor was free so good on Jeremy Locke for that one and good for the lady in the sterling; I am sure that was a major help for her. However he claimed in the media that the materials used for the job were paid out of his own pocket, and that is a straight up lie which is why I wrote "charitable" in quotation marks. The material used for that job was paid for by a gay couple based out of Louisburg; It's my understanding that they are both doctors or at least work in the health care industry. Jeremy did their roof before he did the elderly lady's in Glace Bay, and when doing the job for the customers in Louisburg, he intentionally charged them material for both their roof AND the roof in Glace Bay. He even brought the material for the sterling job onto the property of the customers in Louisburg, so they clearly seen this abundance of material. When the job was done and all this extra material was lying around, the customers in Louisburg assumed that they would get the extra material returned and refunded to them. That was not the case, as Jeremy Locke took the material and delivered it to the property in the sterling, and used it for the so called "charitable" job. I have heard that this came at about roughly 11 thousand dollars cost to the customers in Louisburg (although I cannot confirm the actual number, that was what I was told) to pay for the roof in the Glace Bay, but yet Jeremy Locke took all the credit in paying for the material. Last I heard they were looking to take Jeremy to court over this issue but I am not aware on if they have gone to court or will eventually go to court over this in the future. Would you trust a roofer who adds on years of falsified experience, rips off his own employees from their hard earned paychecks, ignores past customers that suffered from their property being damaged from him and/or his crew and refuses to pay for said damages, Cons the public about his "charitable deeds", and then has the audacity to steal thousands upon thousands of dollars from his customers to pay for these "charitable" roofing jobs for the poor and the desperate so he can look like the good guy in the media? Thanks for taking the time to read this. Jeremy Locke's intensely shady business practices cant be held as a secret forever, and I am so glad to be getting this off of my chest.
